He shouldn't have been in these press conferences, anyway. Pence was in charge, it should be him. I believe it was at the start, but Trump got jealous of Pence getting the attention and decided he wanted it all instead.

Said it before, and I'll say it again: Trump would actually do better in polls and such if he just wasn't there. At least when Pence talks he speaks misdirected truth, rather than just outright bullshit.

I wonder how long he can manage that, i am certain he'll be back before the end of the next week but not before attempting to block all press but OANN probably from entering the room.

Personally i only watch The Daily Show weekly compilations to get some sort summary of all the absurdities and who got fired this time around for telling the truth.

Both times he was protected by the GOP and the office he holds. Once he leaves office they aren't going to give a shit about him. Hell, they are BARELY able to tolerate him now.

I'm not going to say he's going to sit in prison for the rest of his life, but I'm damned sure he's going to be using a lot of whatever fortune he actually has (versus what he SAYS he has) and most of the rest of his days fighting law suits in courts. I really, really don't think New York is going to let him slide.

My dream would be for him to watch as his beloved Trump Tower is taken away and converted into a homeless shelter/charity headquarters. Mar-A-Lago is doomed by climate change over time.

The situation is even worse because we'd be trying to prosecute a proclaimed billionaire and ex-President. To my knowledge we've never prosecuted one before.

However, Trump may not actually be a billionaire (at least until he started selling dealing as Resident), and we've never had a more deplorable human being in that seat in our history.

For the record, it bothers me that it was in the news cycle at all. But, Trump took to the press briefings, you know, the ones he brags about the ratings of, and said something that was so fucking stupid, it was retroactively sarcastic. So, here we are. I mean, I'd rather not pay the medical expenses of that family of five down the street, but if I was the one who ran them over, that's what I should expect. I get that Team Trump doesn't like it. Too bad. Y'all sided with him. Y'all defended him. Now you get to live with it. If you wanted intelligent discussion, honesty and facts, maybe you should have put Fauci up front instead of Trump.

So, should I challenge the local Trump supporters to defend this? What part, of reporting on what Trump said on live TV in front of everyone anyhow, is actionable? Is it the part where he said he was sarcastic 24 hours later but they reported on it as if it was honest at the time? Like Hahn did on CNN? What part of what the press did, specifically, is lawsuit-worthy?

Defend this, Trump supporters, defend. Why the silence? Why the shamed, guilty, crying-into-single-scoop silence? You're supposed to be the Party of Law of Order, explain why this is okay.

You're not going to, are you? You have nothing. The man you voted for is threatening to sue the press for quoting him verbatim. Defend this.
