I responded to you saying that two weeks without numbers increasing, would be the time to reopen. I pointed at WA state effectively handling the virus, after being the epicenter, compared to what Florida is doing. So... your observation is less than apt.
Why? We lost the pandemic response team and had healthcare gutted to pay for it. How can you, even argue that keeping the pandemic response team, would have resulted in far better approach... oh... because it doesn’t matter, since Trump wouldn’t have listened to them regardless and more warnings, would not have helped. You just complained how social programs will be impacted by this virus, but gloss over how social programs being destroyed to pay for the tax cut, is what is causing a lot of the pain in people seeking support. If the virus hurting social programs is bad, what exactly did the tax cut do? If not exacerbate the issue and limit funds in reacting to it, what do you think it did? Help workers? No... boost the economy for corporations like Trump Organization, sure as hell did.
No, there is no inherent love of freedom in defunding pandemic response team, cutting CDC budget by 19% or ignoring the virus for weeks. If all of that was in place, we would likely be opening right now, with no controversies. But, instead we need to listen to someone who fails relentlessly, because this next failure will be the success we need. We need to hide numbers to save the economy... that’s not freedom, that’s idol worship and greed.
You are ignoring everything I am saying about the future, because each failure of Trump is being ignored, in light of ‘stop attacking Trump’. Maybe if you bothered to attack him in February, we would be done with this shit by now. I don’t see how listening to solo opinion of a man that has been failing for weeks to address the issue, is addressing anything. Opening up now, is admitting that our government is inapt in protecting it’s citizens and would rather boast about Dow numbers.
