Or, since we already know Trump's rabid fanbase are engaging in false flag attacks, an idiot in a fake uniform (impersonating a police officer is a crime) and a rifle. They've already proven they're willing to incite violence on Trump's behalf. I don't think murder is that far behind.

Trump can literally put federal troops on the streets to violently suppress people from talking shit about them, and while it might not exactly be legal, it is close enough that 50 Senators and the VP will back him on it. Trump can't kill democracy by himself, he can do it because we fucking let him. Because we were scared of terrorists, so we gave the government a blank check 19 years ago.
Haven't seen @Skroe around in a while wish he was here, honestly very few people here I disagree with as much but also value when it comes to information in a practical sense.

As I said before when I predicted this back in January, I am not Miss Cleo, it's no conspiracy, I wanted to be wrong, but so far yes it shaping up to be one of those things that thanks to neutralizing any opposition Trump is just going to get away with.

People sitting on the sidelines are the ones that are going to be the first targets, the fence sitters who believe you can have both sides of the argument without giving anything up. Well here we are.

Trump has all the tools he needs to become dictator, shit he even talked about adjourning the fucking congress a few weeks ago. Which is one of the only branches in government to put him in check. Which is why he has worked at stacking the courts, and vetting his own administration to go after anyone he deems an enemy.

For Trump you are with him or you are against him as simple as that.

Make no mistake people are going to fucking die tonight, innocent people if they don't submit and go home at curfew. Any few if any of the looters are LONG fucking gone and the groups like this Alt-Righters that helped lite the wick, they are basically standing back ushering this shit to a civil show down.

You're exaggerating by quite a bit on what Trump will end up doing, but you are right on one thing: The executive branch of the United States has a ridiculous amount of power with no checks and balances in places.

Nobody has any rights in a dictatorship.

At a moment where America needs cool, calm, collected, empathetic moral leadership.

We have a man too busy having peaceful protesters tear gassed for a "strongman" photo op to actually lead. And I wouldn't want him leading, he's incapable.

    Anderson Cooper just snapped.

The reason we have protests is because we don't have cool, calm, collected, empathetic or moral leadership.

A bit of a tangent, and I'm not saying you're saying this, but I really can't believe it when people say things like "lol why is 2020 so bad? I thought 2019 was bad, but the bad stuff just keeps coming!"

Maybe it's because an utter shitshow of a human being with no political experience was elected to the highest office in the world, carried on the back of a minority approval rate and the passions of senseless imbeciles.

Maybe that's why things are bad.

I'm sure that's nice and all, and I'm not meaning to be shitty towards you, but so fuckin what?

Hosts keep "snapping" and...liberals all high five over how significant it is and how they're speaking truth to power and literally nothing happens. They're momentary releases and feel-good moments, but getting by on those hasn't been and isn't sustainable.

So fuckin what he "snapped". He's a fucking Vanderbilt, and while he at least works for a living his family is one that is historically responsible for and continues to benefit from this situation, so I'm gonna have a bit of a hard time taking his outrage seriously. People like him can go be outraged, and go home to their mansions in their gated communities and be walled off from what's going on everywhere else. They don't live the same as the rest of us. No matter what happens, he'll be completely fine because of his family name and the money and influence behind it.

Stop covering just the protests, start going after every single cop that's caught on camera abusing protesters and media. Name them, let folks know what police department they're from. If they have prior issues with use of force, make that known. Make the cops terrified that their shitty history and behavior will be outed if they think it's cool to fucking assault the press or pull down someone's mask so you can pepper spray them in the face.

Trump has called the media "the enemy of the people" and his "opposition", well, right now their passive bullshit is making them the "enemy of the people", and honestly they need to start fucking acting like an "opposition" party if that's what Trump wants. Go to fucking war with the White House on the information front. Don't lie. Don't mislead. Just hammer home with facts nonstop. Pause every live Trump talk and fact-check in real time, unequivically.

He mentions voter fraud? Spend the next 10 minutes, yes 10 minutes, discussing how there is no evidence of any widespread or statistically significant voter fraud and every study from partisan (on both sides of the issue) and non-partisan groups has backed this up. Then let him continue until his next lie.

I'm over all this feel-good bullshit.

Were there more than one helicopter messing around? That's not a blackhawk in the video.

Simple. Because being called a thug is short, uncomplicated, and easy for even the most Sudafed motor-impaired hands to dip into a little plastic tub of HFC sweetened dipping sauce before raging on Twitter about CNN.

I'm not accusing Cooper of any master plan or absolving CNN of its culpability in this bullshit. Rather, I see the silver lining as things like this being the impulse we get behind the 'mask off' moments that leave lasting damage on his public image.

Do you honestly think being called a "thug" is going to "leave lasting damage on his public image"? I mean, that's one of the most pedestrian things I think I've heard him called since he was elected, period.

And his image with whom? CNN's audience, that's likely already very anti-Trump, especially the audience taht would watch Cooper? Who's it reaching? Will history books remember that the weekend of protests following the death of Floyd was the moment that Anderson Cooper, white dude coming from a family of immense wealth, finally snapped and called Trump a "thug"?

No, but I believe it'll needle him enough that he'll respond in such a way that will.

Okay I'll be out with it I just want Trump to get banned off Twitter.
