Trump announces another parade for himself.

On July 4th, Trump will host a parade, with military units and flyovers, from the South Lawn of the White House.

...which is surrounded by an extended barricade and barbed wire, because Trump is afraid of black people.

Apparently complying with the stay-at-home orders in Maryland, DC, and Virginia, the WH admits this event will have a different look than 2019. Which basically means fewer guests.

In a late night press release announcing Berman's departure, the Justice Department said Trump intends to nominate Jay Clayton, the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, who has never been a prosecutor.

Can you legally even do that? Would courts even acknowledge someone who is not oficially qualified to be one?
Or does prosecutor in USA need no official education in said matters to be one? Someone enlighten me, please.

Berman isn't going quietly.

"I have not resigned, and have no intention of resigning, my position, to which I was appointed by the Judges of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. I will step down when a presidentially appointed nominee is confirmed by the Senate," Berman said. "Until then, our investigations will move forward without delay or interruption."

There’s a question if Trump and Barr can even fire Berman since he was appointed by the judiciary after their last firing. The interpretation I’m seeing is the Senate would have to confirm a replacement to remove him.

They did ... I thought I read in their legal brief that the government said that most of the confidential things they are bitching about were made confidential AFTER Bolton wrote his book. (can't find that link now, though... sorry)

Trump can nominate whoever he wants. Berman seems to think his successor needs Senate confirmation. I assume he knows what he's talking about. However, Berman also said he's wait until his successor was confirmed, which is the upcoming battle.

there also has to be a reason for something to be classified.

or better to say, certain parameters must be met. can't just go "lolclassified" for anything. the trump admins laziness and ignorance bites them in ass once again.
