You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

Let us know when you're mentally ready to address the "bleach initiative". We'll be here....
You said it, not me, but the point is that your opinion is factually wrong. Remember, just because you *feels* something, doesn't mean it's correct. If you're confused about facts vs opinions, well, you're at least in the right following, but they are different. Shout if you're confused about the two, again, we're here to help.
Zuckerberg has weighed in. He came up with NOT effective.

Title: Zuckerberg says he's been disappointed by Trump's handling of Covid-19
Excerpts:
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Thursday criticized the Trump Administration's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Zuckerberg said he believed the resurgence of the coronavirus in the U.S. in July could've been avoided.
"At this point, it is clear that the trajectory in the U.S. is significantly worse than many other countries and that our government and this administration have been considerably less effective in handling this," Zuckerberg said.It will be harder for liberals to accuse Zuckerberg of having a pro-Trump bias. On the other hand, he might be working to be the voice of the republican party after Trump destroys a huge chunk of it."I'm grateful for the leadership and dedication of Dr. Fauci, who has been working tirelessly under very difficult conditions to help us all navigate this," he said.
Zuckerberg's comments come one day after Facebook announced it would launch a new feature to debunk myths about the coronavirus.
"I personally think we need to take this a lot more seriously," Zuckerberg said. "Our understanding of the disease is of course evolving, and our response needs to be guided by science."
These all seem to go well together telling a story about the difference between facts and opinions. The entire dish is enhanced when we cover the idea that a man who was elected because "he says what he thinks" is now being defined by his followers as "what he meant was".
Trump has fucked the COVID-19 response up one side and down the other - expect a $130k check forthcoming - and he isn't getting any better, which, when you think about it, is horrifying. He literally doesn't want pandemic information going to the agency that is tasked with responding to a pandemic.
At some point someone needs to invoke the 25th - Trump is literally fucking insane.
Trump fixing something that does not need to be fixed....again.
You know that most dishwashers have the ability to run quick cycles that bypass those standards right? Why not share your model so i can check out the instruction manual (you won't of course).
they are using less water in order to be able to slap the Energy Star label on the front to enhance sales.
They don't need to follow the standards if they don't want to. They are allowed to put bypasses in their machines the user can select for faster cycles which use more water.

Dishwasher makers themselves dispute that dishwasher performance has gotten worse because of environmental regulations and they say they aren’t looking for weaker standards. A study from Consumer Reports said this year that today’s dishwashers use roughly half the water and energy of 20 years ago. In fact, using a modern dishwasher tends to be more energy- and water-efficient than doing the dishes by hand.
Buh Byeeeeeeeeeeee !!
Probably could have been more specific, so let's get specific.
"too cautious in one State should never come at the cost of the lives in other States." - Unsupported. If they weren't needed, they're not bolted to the ground and can be moved to states that need them.
"Thankfully no one died as a direct result of the lack of ventilator availability." - Citation needed*
"And, also thankfully, we now have a huge stockpile of ventilators if needed in the future." - I've seen reporting that more were ordered, but I haven't seen results on how many have been delivered to the US national stockpile, or how many are confirmed to be manufactured and delivered.
There we go, got a bit more specific for you, hope that helps.
Opinion don't matter, though. Facts do. You can, of course, be content with the absolute level of shit your government is currently working at, and I mean, complete level of shit, nothing redeeming to say about it whatsoever, sure, go ahead. That doesn't change the fact that the quality of your government's work is, objectively, complete and utter shit. It's as good a government as a brick is a deep space exploration vehicle. It has alienated your allies, it has made you a complete and utter laughingstock, it's lack of leadership and competence has cost millions of US citizens their livelihoods and thousands their lives.
So, yeah, if you're happy with that, enjoy. If that is your opinion, fine there, matey.
Doesn't change the fact that Trump is an incompetent failure of a man and a president and that everyone who supports him out of ideology and not for personal gain is an idiot who should consider assisted living because they lack the cognitive capacity to existing on their own merit.
https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1...516974595?s=19GOP senator blames Hispanics for their high rate of coronavirus cases and deaths, says they don't social-distance or wear masks enough despite data showing they comply more than white people https://t.co/zdxXVUp6Ul https://t.co/7mt39pkNbB
GOP, the big tent party
So scapegoating a certain group of people is textbook racism. Plus just being ignorant of facts.

This is a really good point, and one that should be highlighted more. There are obviously very smart people [still]working for Trump - not all of them are actually drinking the kool-aid. Most of those smarties are along for the ride for personal gain. Take McEnany - she said she wouldn't like, ever, and that was her first lie. But she's obviously smart - her ability to twist facts and lies is amazing. She took the role as an audition for future positions. Who wouldn't want her for a Press Secretary if she can handle with press with someone like Trump for a client?
So many GOP staffers are getting rich off the Trump train, of course they don't want it to stop - so they sell themselves out. Trump's now demoted Campaign Manager (Parscale) is worth almost $20M now from nothing five years ago.
Even the GOP fundraising site (Red[dipshits] or whatever they called it) cannot even remotely begin to compete with the Democrats' Act Blue, because the GOP takes so many fees from each donation.

Exactly. I hope we can turn this around, but Asimov called it awhile ago:
“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”
What the actual fuck?To provide a little broader perspective...the U.S. appears to be doing a relatively decent job compared to Europe. Trump's response...while not perfect...was relatively effective.
Germany, a nation of 83 million citizens, had 534 new confirmed cases yesterday. Bundesliga is discussing the possibility of starting the new football season with 100% fans in stadiums by testing them a day before (I really miss going but personally think that's logistically impossible).
While the USA, a nation of 320 million citizens, had 63.000 new cases yesterday.
In what world is that a relatively decent job?
