    He kinda is to blame.

But you don't care. No one fucking cares. Not really. They'll just say its not happening or they'll virtue signal and say how terrible it is that people die.

Frankly I wish I'd get it. I want to die. There's nothing left to live for and nothing will ever get better. We're in a constant spiral since everyone afraid to actually do anything, my own cowardly self included, and I'd rather drop dead now than continue on but am to much of a coward to do it myself.
You are partially correct. The US is absolutely positively on a downward spiral. And Trump supporters with their intense fuck the virus attitudes and behaviors are definitely making the downward spiral not just a little worse, but a LOT worse. And at this point there is no other explanation other than they are intentionally destroying the US. Why? Who cares. Their view of the world is losing, and they are throwing one hell of a temper tantrum.

So yeah there is a lot of bad stuff going on. But individually there are things to live for. I don't know what you love to do - but this is absolutely the correct time to be doing it. For me it's my wife, chess, WOW, and entertaining my grand daughter. Well that's four things.

When the news is too intense, just stop tuning in. When you recover the news will still be here. <Just make sure to vote Biden / Harris!!!>. And in the meantime focus on the things you love, which ultimately are the important things anyways.

And one more thing: eat healthy, and get at least weekly but preferably daily exercise.

The number of tests Texas has been reporting the past week or so has dropped precipitously, so much so that they're reporting positivity rates some days over 50% and the 7 day average is up to nearly 25%: "In the week ending Aug. 8, an average 36,255 coronavirus tests were administered in Texas each day — a drop of about 42% from two weeks earlier, when the average number of daily tests was 62,516." (link). Hospitalizations are down from their peak at least, but Texas is probably missing thousands of cases per day with this decreased testing.

The U.S. budget deficit climbed to $2.81 trillion in the first 10 months of the budget year, exceeding any on record, the Treasury Department said Wednesday.

The nation’s budgetary shortfall is expected to eventually reach levels for the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30 more than double the largest annual deficit on record.

Bush accomplished this in his last year as well. His "official national deficit" was high, but not outrageously high. But that was because he used accounting gimmickry to put so much "off budget". The amount the National Debt went up was more than a trillion dollars, and was a LOT more than double anything that had happened before he was in office. Closer to triple.

I think that Reagan accomplished this as well. His last budget deficit I am pretty sure was a lot more than double what Jimmy Carter left him with. Meanwhile, both Clinton and Obama had deficits lower in their last years as compared to what they started out with.

Bush and Trump are two examples of why we should never ever let a republican be President again. They just do way too much damage to the country, and to our finances.

Maybe next year he can add another $1.2 trillion to it if he's elected and gets rid of the payroll taxes permanently.

My favorite part is the blue checkmark. Certifying that it is indeed Herman Cain.

I mean come on GOP, we don't want to be all petty about his death, but you can't use a dead guy's twitter account to throw mud. I am not even sure why anyone thought that was a good idea.

The best part was the dude who responded:

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they prop his body up and have him "speak" at the convention a la Weekend at Bernie's.

Trump saying clearly on Fox why he won’t fund USPS. “Now they need that money in order to make the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots...But if they don’t get those two items that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting...

Holy crap! This Moron just again admitted why he is not funding the USPS. So many times he has admitted to committing a crime. I would say this again is impeachable. I can't believe we are here.

No hyperbole here. He is trying to rig, suppress and steal an election.

    How is this not impeachable?

Don't worry, the US always had a bad reputation.

I'm glad that Republicans are increasingly throwing off any pretense at respectibility, civility, or decency.

Like, they're not pretending anymore. They're just being open at their anti-democratic, authoritarian, corrupt desires to wield power for personal gain. This is good, and I hope Democrats are grabbing all this footage they can and including it in attack ads everywhere. This stuff is gold.

I mean in a sense he's kinda right. Voting rights is pretty progressive. It's just the kind progressive thing that even conservatives can get on board with, unless they're terrified of voters actually voting and have decades of history trying to limit access to voting OH RIGHT THEY DO.

Well damn, man. Darned leftists and their push for voting rights. How dare they want people to vote legally. IN A DEMOCRACY. The fuckin nerve of those libs.

It's just unbelievable the level of fascism we've allowed to perpetuate the White House. I could not agree more with your statement.

If Biden wins, and we can steer back to a course of a semblance of democracy, what do we do about Trump and his new media outlet? It's going to be called TrumpTV pretty soon after he's out of office.

The worst part is that the GOP is so blatant about their voter suppression efforts and proclivities. They aren't even hiding it. And yet people still support them. I'll say it again, the GOP is the own-goal champ of voting against their own interests.

I really, really hope that dems crush it this november, even with all of the cheating.
In fact, the cheating that the GOP is doing is what makes me nervous for november, more than anything. I know that in a fair election, they would be crushed.

Many of the gop voters are single issue, so even if they fuck them up with everything else, if the gop candidate holds a bible with one hand, an AR-15 with the other, and claim they'll be pro life for evah, they'll vote for then.

I really hope that your country becomes more secular, fast.
