Committee meetings can be conducted wherever they want. Nom is still in committee. They can continue to advance the nom til it passes out of committee (as long as the committee has a quorum).

Here's the daily schedule for the coming days. Note that the 10.6 and 10.7 meetings are not held in the senate chamber.

What, watching Trump choke on his own words over and over? It wasn't that bad

Trump infected his personal assistant. Or I guess possibly vice versa. Either way, he's positive too.

That's Masque of the Red Death. Poe wrote it in 1842.

Poe nailed Trump's sense of decoration down perfectly, I might add.

The tastes of the duke were peculiar. He had a fine eye for color and effects. He disregarded the "decora" of mere fashion. His plans were bold and fiery, and his conceptions glowed with barbaric lustre. There are some who would have thought him mad. His followers felt that he was not. It was necessary to hear and see and touch him to be sure he was not.

Sen. Ron Johnson went to the Ozaukee County Republican Party Oktoberfest Dinner while waiting on his test results.

I’m not sick. I have no symptoms. I certainly didn’t anticipate testing positive, so there was no reason to quarantine.

I think I've seen an interview with King where he said current events are not really comparable with his books because those are meant to be scary stories read in a safe environment where readers can enjoy the horror knowing their own lifes are better. Probably talking about 2020 generally, not Trump specifically.

    So Poe it is.

He tweeted yesterday, responding to someone who said the plot of the Rose Garden Massacre seems like his... Saying that it does seem like it’s something he would write, but needs more tentacles.

I was thinking we might get a Weekend at Bernie’s 3 out of this... but, based on Trump’s message yesterday, I think we are back to Chernobyl...

I'm curious to see if that is a major outlier, or if public sentiment has actually shifted. We should find the answer by Tuesday, or so.

That poll was post debate, pre-covid diagnosis... there's a possibility it shifts even more.

Outlier. Welcome news, but outlier. Feel free to shame me if the next five or six agree, barring Rassholemussen of course.

The WH press pool of reporters and photographers is being driven to Walter Reed hospital. No details yet on what events, if any, are expected.

Reuters/IPSOS polls has Biden at +10. I think this is setting a trend (but yea, we need more polls)

I am hoping for a word from Trump today. I was reassured yesterday that he will be fine, but daily updates like that do help. I really don’t want that dumb fuck to die... they will worship him for ever...

Why the live update on this? He's been sick for 3-4 days. This could easilu take 4-6 weeks, with months of severe after effects.

You can bet your ass that he's getting pumped with everything they got, so he can hold a press conference now and then. He's got symptoms (feber etc.) so it's not going to be a walk in the park for him.

Of course it would be fitting to feed hios Qanon idiots, with some "why's the president only sick for 6 days?!?!" nonsense, so they might label him as a satanical alien or w/e BS they cook up in their crackpot heads.

Such a joke and these jokesters running this administration. The insecurity and 3rd rate, wannabe dictatorship of him 'reviewing and signing papers' to show strength.

@Felya. As you mentioned this has that Soviet, Chernobyl feel. Make the dumbest, biggest lies to the people even though they can see it.
