Besides that, how do people think Trump will go down in history if he doesn't get re-elected? That's an important topic to American students studying politics. People make it out like he's going to be Nixon or worse as an example of a failed leader than anyone people can look up to.
It's going to depend who writes the books, and how divided we continue to be.

I really wouldn't be surprised to learn that in 70 years students in Alabama will be receiving a version of history that praises trump (for what exactly, i'm not sure).

The rest of the world will learn about a deranged con-man who almost single handedly broke the country in more ways than one. They will hold him up as a warning against political cultism.

The words "criminal presidency" and "American fascism" are already being tossed around in foreign analytical circles, just to add to this.

Because they are in a cult. Trump literally can do no wrong with these people.

He should of been, 100%. The president in the US has FAR too much immunity to law while in office.

We've relied way too much on the president at least being a competent adult in the past. It's pretty clear we need to overhaul some presidential law at this point.

I mean, look at all the Hatch act violations. Just blatantly ignoring the law. I'm not saying he should be removed and jailed just because of hatch act violations, but it's part of a pattern.

Mayor of Des Moines does not sound super stoked about a Trump rally because, well, lethal outbreak.

Absolutely I'm worried about the spread. We don't want a super-spread event here in Des Moines. We urge everyone who would attend this event to wear a mask and social distance as best they can, and to stay safe and healthy.

We all have to do everything we can do to keep our numbers down. It’s proven, it’s scientific facts.
On Saturday alone, Des Moines saw 1,000 new cases. A fucking thousand. Coincidentally, there are as many people in Des Moines as there are people who have died from COVID-19 in the USA.

Dude, that's bad. And i get flustered because we get spikes of 80 cases sometimes (with around the same population as Des Moines) where i live. On the direst moment of the pandemic, Santiago only had around 4x the amount of cases as a city of 210 thousand people, while being 25-30 times larger, population wise.

Considering historians already rank him worse than Nixon, you seem to be lying.

Because of people like you who will do anything to defend him.

That's a silly question, and it's one you Trumpsters make all too often.

You are basically asking why a bunch of corrupt zealots refuse to believe their demagogue leader is a con artist.

"How is he so bad, if I refuse to believe he's bad?" That's what you are really asking.

Iowa is 23rd for deaths/person and currently 7th for cases/person. And, just to shut down the Trump argument, they are 38th in tests/person.

I guess what with @Benggaul 's numbers and the Iowa thing I might as well cite this too:

I've circled the states where deaths are "about" as high as they've ever been. I circled them in red because...well. Yeah.

Yep. Just like Wilson Fisk became mayor of NY and Norman Osborn became head of SHIELD.

"millions of people can't be wrong" defense huh? Really, that's the one you're going with here? It was also millions of people who supported Jews being exterminated by their support of Nazi regime to the bitter end. Are you making excuses for that too while at it? I mean, by the same logic you did, but I'd like you to say it plainly.

I'm fairly sure that user has previously advocated concentration camps for autistic people, presumably to be followed by mass executions when they get tired of the budgetary costs of such camps.

He lost the popular vote. He's only in office because of an asinine, dumbass, outdated system that gives an advantage to republicans to enact minority rule.

So Trump took a swing at the head of the Lincoln Project, claiming he'd beaten him.

    It went exactly as expected.

You’ve never beaten me at anything.

This is our first dance. Did you like, Covita? We are so much better at this than your team of crooks, wife beaters, degenerates, weirdos and losers. You are losing.

We heard you loved Evita. You saw it so many times. Where will you live out your years in disgrace? Will you buy Jeffrey Epstein’s island? One last extra special deal from him? Or will you be drooling on yourself in a suite at Walter Reed? Maybe you will be in prison? I bet you fear that.

The Manhattan District Attorney may not be around to cover for you or your crooked kids anymore. Eliza Orlins doesn’t believe in different sets of rules for the Trumps. What about the State Attorney General? You know what you’ve done.

Oh, Donald. Who do you owe almost $500 million in personally guaranteed loans to? It's all coming down. You think you and your disgusting family are going to be in deal-flow next year? Are you really that delusional?

You are lucky Chris Wallace interrupted you after Joe Biden said you weren’t smart. You started to melt down. That’s the place that hurts the most. Right? Fred Sr., knew it. You’ve spent your whole life proving it. You aren’t very smart. You couldn’t take the SAT on your own. What was the real score? 970? We both know you know.

Are the steroids wearing off? Is the euphoria fading? Do you feel foggy? Tired? Do you ache? How is the breathing? Hmmm. Are you watching TV today? We will have some nice surprises for you. Everyone is laughing at you. You are a joke. A splendid moron turned deadly clown.

Did you watch Martha McSally in her debate against American hero, fighter pilot, test pilot, astronaut Capt. Mark Kelly? She is so embarrassed by you. She is ashamed and full of self-loathing for the choice she made in following you over the cliff. She is in free fall now. She will lose, like most of them, because of you.

We hear from the White House and the campaign everyday. They are betraying you. They are looking to get out alive and salvage careers and their names.

It’s Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner vs. Donald Trump Jr., and Kimberly Guilfoyle on the inside. They are at war over scraps and who gets to command what will be the remnants of your rancid cult.

It’s almost over now. You are the greatest failure in American history. You are the worst president in American history. Disgrace will always precede your name. Your grandchildren and great-grandchildren will grow up ashamed of their names.

One day, I suppose there will be some small and not-much-visited library that bears your name. It will be the type of place where a drunk walks by, staring at the wall for a minute, before deciding it is beneath his dignity to piss on. That’s what is waiting for you.

Joe Biden is a better man. He’s smarter. He’s winning. Do you remember when you didn’t want to name Donald Trump Jr., Donald because you were worried about him being a loser named Donald? You were right about that. He is. But it is you who will be remembered as America’s greatest loser. You will be crushed in the election.

    Shhhhhhhh.

Latter part would come sooner rather than later too, I'd imagine. "guys you know what, these "people" aren't even worth our time and money to keep in these camps, so...we need some other....final... solution to this problem"

It's how it goes with certain sorts of mentalities.

Because you have Lex Luthor's lapdogs like McConnell, Cruz, and every other Republican Senator besides maybe Mitt Romney, that don't have a backbone to vote for evidence in a clear Bribery and Extortion Scheme like he did with Ukraine after he was impeached.

More people voted for Clinton. He only won because of the outdated bullshit of the Electoral College where he won the majority in 3 states. And those 3 states, he is down by 5-10 points, if not more.

Does this need to be said to Trump? Absolutely.

But I think it's best to save gloating for after the election. This thing ain't finished, not by a long shot. The republicans are rallying back hard in favor of perpetrating voter suppression; they know it's their only saving grace now.

Obviously, they're trying to stop it as they can. But certain Trump-packed courts are going along with things like limiting ballot drop off locations solely for the reason of inconveniencing people, and with things like "fake election dropoff boxes" the damage is done because the votes are probably destroyed upon being dropped off, even if the boxes themselves are swiftly removed.
