It's also because he has a vested interest in Regeneron and Eli Lilly. He used to own stock personally but now likely transferred them to his family.

In 2016, if a person voted for Trump, they told the world that either they are racist or that being racist isn’t a disqualifyer for being president but wanted to see what he could do.

After 4 years and numerous lies and scandals and failed policy and broken laws, if a person votes for Trump in 2020, then the only reason they have left is that they are racist.

It's obviously not a deal breaker for them.

Trump supporters have spent four year shitting on the other side. Did you not expect anger?

By "run its course", I'm assuming he means let it kill off a million people, as long as he's not one of them.

It looks like my hope to see Trump’s odds fall to single digits by the end of this week, might still come true... 538 has Biden at 86/13 in their 40000 simulations...

Regeneron CEO: Trump's success with antibody cocktail is not evidence of cure

Long story short, while the stuff didn't flat-out kill Trump or anything, if the CEO is saying "well hold on.." then you should probably listen.

As with anything, it’s a matter of degrees. While most Trump supporters probably aren’t actively, malignantly racist like your typical KKK cross-burner or neo nazi, they’re passively racist enough to legitimately be unaware or be willfully ignorant of systemic racism.

To be fair, most posters in here are too engaged in politics to even think of the most common reasoning for voting Trump in 2016 - the (R) behind his name. Even in european multi-party elections every party can count on its block of voters regardless of the actual candidate.

Of cöurse, in the last four years the progression of the republican party to a minority grifter party has been made quite visible by Trump and Co., so that reasoning should not be used to excuse a vote for him 2020.
Then again, part of the grifter party is a thriving media network, so you will still have upstanding Trump voters who honestly dont see themselves as racist.

In short, better call out people who took ample time to show you their true colors. Still enough of them

Trump has yet to hit the campaign trail. He's going to stop bleeding numbers soon. That's reason enough for the Democrats to continue the full-court press.

We should also not count on Trump going from zero to sixty like this, while still recovering from a life-threatening infection he literally brought upon himself, to actually KO him. Oh, it's completely predictable, but Democrats need to assume his actions will have no consequences yet again. If Trump injures himself, that's a bonus, but not a mandate.

I don't think the Dems are going to slow down because the polls look good or because Trump is ill. If anything, if he says he's cured, it's ammo for them to go after him and not feel bad about attacking a sick fat man. Also, 2016 trauma means they won't consider it done until the GOP is buried.

The most important thing that will impact their voter banks is the hearing today. They should not go after Amy Coney Barrett for anything but her judicial stance. Roe v Wade and Obamacare. That's it. Just go after that. Nothing else. Don't make it personal. Just stay on message.

    Shocked! I tell you.

Trump will likely need to get prosecuted for his crimes prior to be President. During his Presidency, we will see if they can get a serious quid pro quo on this.

The best out of this is he probably fleeced his campaign and inauguration for tens of millions of dollars. Don't mind when he steals from their own.

Indeed, just because there's good news doesn't mean there can't be better news. Biden already proved he was ready to take advantage of Trump's self-inflicted downtime.

Yeah, I just don't want them to give anyone any ammo during Barrett's confirmation hearing. Just stick to Roe v Wade & Obamacare.

Not that it matters, mind you. The conservative media have already decided to pearl clutch and claim it's an attack on her womanhood and religion.

It's well documented that he's a scumbag. I mourn the (not yet confirmed) loss of COVID in his bloodstream.

It’s also not something an incumbent should be saying. He is running as if he hasn’t been president...

Its a simple attempt to play to his base, a large amount of republican voters actually like it when bad things happen to states like Califonia because it "fucks the libs".
