Most experts, I think, agree that he can't pardon himself. He could try, but the second someone challenged it it would likely get ruled against.

As was noted in the Nixon era, however, he could use the 25th, step down temporarily, and have Acting President Pence pardon him before re-assuming the Presidential office. That would, however, require not just a willing Pence (check, probably), but also for Trump's ego to withstand the ignominy of using the 25th on himself.

This is normally where I'd do a 24-hour challenge, but I couldn't figure out the best way to word it. Trump changes his mind so often that it'd be easy to find, say, two things he said 3 months apart that were the same, but glossed over five or six other things in between.

So I'll just go with an old favorite:
