Yep, that's some craven bootlicking right there.

So I guess the question is, is there any chance whatsoever that Pelosi and Trump will not just agree on a bill, but also, get it to the Senate before the election? And would the Senate have any chance at all of voting before the election?

McConnell knows Trump sold him out. He knows he has two options, both bad. One, sigh and sign whatever Pelosi sends him. Two, break ranks with Trump. He probably didn't see this coming, but too bad.
Depends how desperate Trump is. If he just full on caves and then some to pelosi it could happen short of that I don't know.

Right, but that's part of the problem. If Trump full-on caves, and says "anything Pelosi wants she gets" McConnell might oppose that purely on image and principle.

I thought he keeps them if under house arrest, rather than in prison.

At any rate, I think the over/under on Twitter banning him before the FBI or NY State Police take his phone away is pretty good.

Yup Mitch is in a tough position trump is desperate so any plan that comes out is likely WAY more than the senate gop want anything to do with and to pass it some of them will have to vote for it. The dems if they are doing the heavy lifting are going to demand most of what they are asking for they get. So if mitch says no GOP is blamed. If mitch says yes pelosi gets a huge win to crow about.

I can see it on image, but he couldn't really oppose on principles when he has none. They man protected a potential serial rapist to get him on the Supreme Court. Principles haven't had anything to do with that man in as long as I can remember.
Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add
    "mmo-champion.com##li.postbitignored"
to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

No no, that's not what he means.

Giuliani clearly means that, since there is the minimum suggestion of some vaguely-defined corruption, we should investigate at full strength to see if there's a story here or not.

    So let's see Trump's taxes.

The FBI got this laptop, or that's how the story goes, and there has been no further move since. Meanwhile NYState and also the House have been moving on Trump's taxes because they could contain evidence of tax fraud and/or insurance fraud. Considering they're both pushing subpoenas in court, the case is objectively stronger, because in the Hunter Biden case they are not.

In fact, let's make this another 24-hour challenge. @Ghostpanther I know you're watching, but let's add the usual crowd of @lockedout @Hammerfest @Thwart @DocSavageFan and so forth and so on.

    Which is the case?

    1) You admit we deserve the facts of both stories. We should investigate the Hunter Biden story, and also Trump's fraud story, and need to see the evidence of both.
    2) You admit there is not enough reason to pursue either case.
    3) You admit you want to see Hunter Biden's case progress, but not Trump's taxes, because you are a hypocrite.

The usual rules, 24 hours or I get to pick for you, and also, you admit you're a coward for not answering.

I have to admit I'm not 100% sure on how his rights would work under house arrest - I'm starting from the assumption that house arrest works like prison regarding rights, because he would be a convicted felon.

I can see his phone being seized on Day 1 of his return to the private sector.

The University of Michigan orders its students to quarantine in place.

    "Which ones?"

    Yes.

UMich is the first I've seen to impose an all-student lockdown, but it will surprise me if they're the last.

That seems unlikely to be viable. Dorms are generally not setup very well in my experience for any kind of quarantine in place situation. You almost can't help but to interact.

As an insight into how it's going today, we're currently about 4k cases off from last Tuesday's numbers with about 5 hours left in the reporting day and Texas hasn't even weighed in yet.

    Manage your optimism.

Limbaugh went on to claim “firsthand smoke” isn’t that serious either.

“Firsthand smoke takes 50 years to kill people, if it does,” he said. “Not everybody that smokes gets cancer. Now, it’s true that everybody who smokes dies, but so does everyone who eats carrots.”

Limbaugh went on to ask why the government didn’t ban tobacco if it was so dangerous before claiming the society had vilified smokers, even though “their purchases are funding children’s health care programs.”

“I would like a medal for smoking cigars, is what I’m saying,” Limbaugh added.

“I’ve never seen cause of death: Tobacco products. Not everybody who smokes gets cancer. The most shocking event in the world is when somebody gets lung cancer and they never smoked, and everybody says, ‘How the hell did that happen?’ Because everybody’s been so persuaded to believe that it’s automatic.”

So Trump reportedly stormed out of an interview with 60 Minutes early and never returned. As pre-emtpive damage control, he's trying to mask shame Leslie Stahl for not wearing a mask in a short clip he put up on Twitter.

Given Trumps well documented hatred of masks and ordering his staff not to wear them what with them being a reminder of his failure to deal with the Trump VIrus, does he really think this "attack" has any credibility at all?
