Because taking responsibility now means admitting they haven't taken responsibility yet. So better to let another 200,000 Americans die than to actually do the adult thing and confront the virus directly.

So some kids were protesting a Trump rally, a guy rushes them and assaults a teenage girl, throwing her sign down. Someone flings water on him from her water bottle, AND THE DUDE PULLS A GUN AND THREATENS THEM. He has to be pulled back by other Trump supporters.

The video of the initial assault is deeper in the thread, the LP tweet is just him brandishing his gun against literal teenage girls.

Instead of taking the virus seriously and trying to take steps to fight it the GOP have been wasting their time making a documentary series that they plan to release a few days before the election and by the looks of it's going to be packed with lies and or outdated information.

I do have a question, why the Trump fan cult still try to bullshit on a forum that at tops 30 people read it, where people already voted or cant even vote?

The election is already decided, lets just talk about facts until the election day.

Why is it always the armed ULTRA MACHO DUDES that get triggered and feel the need to threaten unarmed girls with a fuckin gun?

Like, that's the biggest small dick energy I've seen in a while.

They mostly are 3rd generation and second generation Americans and are raised in a conservative culture/environment that doesn’t place value in education.

So, do you mean punk as in like, beliefs such as non-conformity, anti-authoritarianism, anti-corporatism, a do-it-yourself ethic, anti-consumerist, anti-corporate greed, direct action and not "selling out".

Or punk as in he's a little bitch?

Because his girlfriends post on Facebook that got shared around on Twitter doesn't seem like she thought it was a "little bitch" type move that he pulled.

The whole problem is he attacked them first. They splashed him with water. Then he pulled a gun.

I did say "on that front," because that was as much leeway as I was going to give him for what he did (And yes, he's clearly the one at fault here).

13 states set COVID case records last week. Of those, four broke records last week that were then broken this week. Those four are Kansas, Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming. Also breaking records are Iowa, Idaho, Utah, Pence's own Indiana, and Alabama, but Alabama might just be catching up with some old test reporting.

Morale has plummeted at the CDC.

Months of mixed messages, political pressure and public gaffes about Covid-19 have caused morale at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to turn "toxic," said four current and two former CDC staffers, with one saying the election could be a "tipping point" for a mass exodus if President Donald Trump wins.

"The house is not only on fire," said a veteran CDC staffer who did not want to be named for fear of retribution. "We're standing in ashes."

Current and former CDC employees told NBC News that career staffers are still struggling to influence key decisions on the pandemic as new daily Covid-19 cases soar nationwide, but are overruled by Trump appointees when politics intrudes.

Most recently, they said, they wanted to extend the "No Sail" order for cruise ships through February. It had been set to expire four days before the Nov. 3 election. Instead, they say Vice President Mike Pence's office pushed for the order to expire, which stands to benefit 21,000 cruise industry workers in the swing state of Florida.

A White House official said that when the CDC proposed an extension to the "no sail" order it seemed "arbitrary" and "they provided no metrics or data as to why."

The White House official added that two or three weeks ago the vice president, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and CDC Director Robert Redfield hosted a call with the cruise lines to discuss their plan and "discussions about lifting no sail are currently in front of them, but no decision made yet.

The political pressure has taken its toll on CDC employees, said the current and former staffers. One current staffer said that during a recent Zoom call, a supervisor went so far as to instruct CDC staff to be loyal to the Constitution, not to the president.
    Bolded for evidence.

    There's a tweet for that.

We are not prepared for a pandemic. Trump has rolled back progress President Obama and I made to strengthen global health security. We need leadership that builds public trust, focuses on real threats, and mobilizes the world to stop outbreaks before they reach our shores.
    -- Joe Biden

"Hah, well I'm sure he posted that in April or July when the evidence--"

    It's dated Oct 19, 2019.

    Trump is a failure.

Yes, I know, it is Fox News, but I thought I would post it since @Ghostpanther won't. It was posted 2 days ago, and there is no mention of Joe Biden ANYWHERE in Bubolinski's emails.

So, that was another dud in the Hunter Biden/Joe Biden scenario. Anything else the Republicans want to try?

They've cried wolf so many times now that nobody will believe them.

Even if they found some legitimately troublesome story about Biden... who's going to believe it? They've been wrong so many times before, accused so many people of utterly baseless nonsense that went nowhere, and have basically told people not to believe the news. So their strategy of "get a damning story out quickly before the election, so the other side doesn't have time to refute it" is basically shot. No one would believe them, the FBI has already said they aren't playing that game again, and so many people, anticipating Trump fucking with the polls and mailing system and wanting to avoid COVID, have already cast their votes anyway.

Those people probably weren't going to vote for Biden anyway.

When it comes to the moderates and the democrats who are already suspicious of what Trump does and says and who likely don't get their news solely from Murdoch's media confederacy, spreading that sort of hit-and-run smear campaign is much, much more difficult. Which is probably why all they've attempted thus far... hasn't worked.

The attacks levied against Hillary had the benefit of FBI credibility in their formation (which ultimately lead to nothing and, like I said, the FBI stated they're not going to do again) and were built upon decades of Republican-lead mudslinging levied against Hillary Clinton spreading mistrust and malice.

Biden isn't dragging anywhere near that amount of baggage. They aren't even attempting to attack him directly; they're going after his son, and all of that is rolling off of his back like water off a duck.

If the laptop existed, and also had evidence of a crime, and also the timeline of events was correct, there would have been a successful criminal investigation by now.

Team Trump keeps trying to handwave the evidence about how immoral, illegal, and fattening they are, hence clinging to the laptop like it's the last piece of debris from the Titanic. Doesn't make them any less of pathetic failures, as Pence's staff is learning quickly.

There are concerns that more people within Pence's inner circle will test positive in the coming days, a source said. "They're scared," the source said of staffers in the vice president's office.

Vice President Mike Pence and second lady Karen Pence each tested negative for coronavirus on Sunday, a White House official said. Despite contact with multiple people who recently tested positive, Mike Pence is refusing to quarantine in defiance of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

Pence's office announced Saturday evening that Short had been diagnosed with Covid-19. Sources told CNN that Obst, who is a senior political adviser to Pence but is not a government employee, and at least three staffers in Pence's office have also tested positive for the virus.

Bauer, one of the staffers who tested positive, according to two sources familiar with the matter, is Pence's "body man," meaning his job is to accompany Pence throughout the day and night helping him with a wide range of duties, putting him in close proximity to the vice president. A source familiar with the matter told CNN that Bauer has not been in the office since Tuesday, when he went home to quarantine after coming into contact with Obst. Bauer tested positive Saturday.

During an interview on CNN's "State of the Union," White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows refused to disclose the extent of the Covid-19 outbreak in Pence's orbit, and he said Pence will be wearing a mask and social distancing when he resumes campaign travel Sunday despite his direct exposure to the virus.

Pence, who is known to rarely wear a mask while flying on Air Force Two, traveled on Saturday to Florida for campaign rallies in Lakeland and Tallahassee. The vice president walked across the tarmac from Marine Two in a mask and boarded Air Force Two about an hour behind schedule.

Pence emerged maskless from Air Force Two in Florida, running down the steps and jogging across the tarmac, fist pumping as he approached the podium. The vice president's office released the statement on Short moments after Pence landed back at Andrews Air Force Base.
You quoted FOX News, that means I have to post CNN to keep things fair and balanced.

While the lethal outbreak breaks records for what @benggual will probably tell us is either two or three days in a row, and while we have yet another major outbreak in the White House itself, Trump continues to scream "We are rounding the corner!" into the wind, either ignoring the fact that it's false or actually ignorant of this. Doesn't matter, both traits are equally damning.

We've already seen that the WH was trying to keep this quiet, and with good reason. If you flub a field goal in the Super Bowl, and if because of that you lose the game, you'd want that kept quiet too. Too bad this is being done in public, huh?

Pence and what's left of his team is continuing to make the rounds. The good news? Pence is pretty boring. It's unlikely he'll be in any packed rooms filled with people -- he doesn't have that kind of draw.
