The covid task force team that is supposed to coordinate OWS have not met since September. Which in context of of this vaccine is fine... there is nothing for them to plan, until the vaccine sees more scrutiny. There is no credit to be gotten by anyone... it’s a good sign... but...

You seem to be under the misconception that pharma companies laze about and take their sweet time developing drugs and bringing them to market and they need some incentive to get them to do so quickly.

In reality, every single drug is a mad dash to get to market as soon as possible as to maximize profits -- this goes 100000x for any drug that's first to market. Some companies even pay the FDA millions of dollars for vouchers they can redeem for priority reviews so they can shave off a few months of review time with the agency.

If OWS didn't exist nothing up until this point would look differently. That's not being a hack, that's being educated and informed about that industry works.

OWS will accelerate the time from approval to dosing in patients. And for that we will be grateful.
