the news on TV on all channels is really interesting tonight. It's all disparaging Trump, to such an extent that it's like another non-free country celebrating their dictator leader is gone.

I'm wondering how it gets broadcast because it's so one-sided.

When you couple that with a man born with a platinum spoon in his mouth who has never been told no or faced consequences.....it is not hard to see how he became the walking coagulating and gelatinous pustule he is now.

The Venn Diagram of: Trump supporters, people taken in by MLMs and people susceptible to nationalist propaganda looks closer to 1 circle instead of 3. If you sprinkle some racism on that......then you have the recipe for the shit lasagna we have today.

There was plenty of opposition prior to him becoming the nominee. Plenty of soundbites of pretty much ever republican congressperson calling Trump out. Of course they went silent as they suck his orange pig dick for the last 4.5 years.

It’s funny, because that comment was only correct for a couple of days. Once the red mirage faded, the polling is becoming more and more accurate. Outside of Florida, where the polling seems to have missed that no candidate has ever campaigned so hard and so long is any state. Trump did everything from moving there, to Florida being the only state to get millions authorized for chloroquine.

It’s pretty interesting to think about, bur the reason the left didn’t get steam rolled the last 4 years, is the same reason Trump has the support to steam roll the left. Trump is the only president in US history, to never stop campaigning. You guys think Biden, or any other president would hold rallies several times a month, for 4 years? Now, imagine if he did his job instead... imagine if he governed instead of played golf. Imagine if governing under his ideology, was enough to generate the sort of fandom, being as close to winning as he was.

I think that can be a hope... or a ray of light at the end of the tunnel, for folks who are weary of fellow Americans, based on the volume of Trump support. If this was policy driven, instead of having nearly weekly rallies to maintain support, would Trump be as successful in generating support? Would we all be more fucked, than we already are?

Two things that allowed Trump to actually win. The constant misinformation to gullible Cuban and Venezuelan Americans that Dems and Biden are socialists and the fact that 750K people with felony records were not allowed to vote because of an illegal poll tax. If the Miami-Dade Cuban vote wen as normal and thos felons voted as expected to 60-40 Biden or more, Fl would have been blue.

Yes the Dems are to blame for not being present for 4 years and barely doing much this cycle, but the GOP share of the TX and FL latino vote was around 30%. That's onnthe low end if what they normally get. The average 25-40% each presidential election for a while now. It's not like he hit a home run with them. Improved? Yes. But it's unlikely to be a trend upward since Bush did significantly better 20 years ago and they still have a minority share.

I fail to understand why so many people in the US are treating a presidential election as some kind of sports tournament in which you support for your team no matter what.

Your team can do nothing wrong, the opponent is through and through evil and the referees (media/courts) are corrupt whenever the decision is not in your favor. It's all fun and banter during the game. However when you take it this far after the game is done and you actually want to "fight until death" for your team, we call those people "hooligans" in Europe. But since we are not talking about sports but politics, i'd say "terrorists" should be a better definition.

Pretty damn sad how fractured this country is and the victim complex conservatives have, especially after 4 years of Trump and the shit he's said and what they've said in his defense.

I’ve removed FB from my phone, it’s been great! I now have to make a conscious decision to look at it. I haven’t missed anything. Most wont miss me but I’m part of the divide and I’m ok with that. I hate the politics of my region and I can’t wait to leave, sadly it will be a while. If you’re still reading this you probably have my number. I’ve been reaching out over the phone only to learn that my friends are struggling. If you need me, call me. if you want to talk or meet in person, I will always be there. Don't forget, Team Trump is a cult. I'm an Eagles fan for life, but when they suck (cough cough Sunday cough) I'll be one of the first to admit it. And, as you've seen on these very forums, even with the shield of anonymity, when Biden says something stupid or outright lies, I tend to call him out on it.

The rabid fanbase is at the point where they would literally rather die than admit they backed a lying incompetent loser. Yes, literally, look at those mask mandates they're not following, look at the crimes they're committing. Kidnapping a governor? Driving from a Trump rally to the Philly vote counting location with guns what the fuck? Say what you want about Black Lives Matter, they at least are rebelling against unarmed innocent African-Americans being murdered in cold blood by police. I’m hoping that this sort of deflagration of trump supporters off of social media and trump’s turning on Fox News really starts to put the kibosh on his particular brand of misinformation spreading.
