So, it's Dec 26 and Trump hasn't signed anything yet.

I'm going to be seasonably charitable and give him the whole "not signing it Christmas Day". I would have, I feel compassion for my fellow human being, but I can understand people not wanting to work Christmas. I mean, it's not like he went golfing or son of a Nazi bitch that's exactly where he was. Christmas Eve, golfing. Christmas Day, golfing.

For your typical random working person, I get that. The Office of the President is not for the typical random working person. It is for the person the people trusted the most to do important stuff like saving thousands of lives.

So, I guess Trump supporters have publicly declared they're good with this, by virtue of basically never answering any of my challenges or more correctly never calling out this behavior. To Trump supporters, going golfing is more important than helping people made unemployed or evicted by what they say is the China Virus, so there's not even the excuse "Trump caused the pandemic" that I use five times a day.

    - - - Updated - - -

So we're all aware that Trump scheduled a bunch of federal executions just before he leaves office, basically ensuring that he will kill as many people as possible.

In yet another legal loss, a federal judge says Trump's schedule change, attempting to execute the only woman on death row, no really Trump went out of his way to execute the only woman on death row, was illegal.

Under the order, the Bureau of Prisons cannot reschedule Montgomery's execution until at least Jan. 1. Generally, under Justice Department guidelines, a death-row inmate must be notified at least 20 days before the execution. Because of the judge's order, if the Justice Department chooses to reschedule the date in January, it could mean that the execution would be scheduled after Biden's inauguration on Jan. 20.

A spokesperson for Biden has told The Associated Press the president-elect "opposes the death penalty now and in the future" and would work as president to end its use in office. But Biden's representatives have not said whether executions would be paused immediately once Biden takes office.
I don't know which is worse:
    1) Trump intentionally going through the federal prisoners and specifically choosing the only woman to execute, or
    2) Him screwing it up.

Related as my Brother in Law is DEEP in the cult. Had him come up from Florida (Queue those meme's) to visit for Christmas. Didn't really come for us since him and my sister broke up after she decided to give him a 3-some for his birthday a while back at which point he tried to keep the other girl in against her wishes and then dumped her for the side-chick but came up for the kids who either already live up here or would rather live up here than down there.

He decided to bring up politics unprompted, I had actually intentionally avoided it for what little time I was there because of how he was with it. He tried to spin it as Biden won't be too bad because Biden is old and still "For the white man". And as racist as that sounded, I let that go rather than push it and because Biden's history on those issues wasn't exactly pristine. But then he commented on how if the Democrats take Georgia they were going to pack the courts and other stuff, and I mentioned on how the Republicans just did that.

Long story short, when presented with the facts showing the Republicans were already guilty of what he claimed the Democrats were going to do he called me and "The Democrats" as Satan Worshippers who were going to Burn in Hell at which point I laughed and he got extra mad and threatened to beat my ass before storming out.

This is also a guy who claimed welfare people are mooches and I am a mooch for relying on the VA while pretending he never did even when his kids used to be on government healthcare and he was getting between $600-800 a month in Food Stamps which were in his wife's name. Or that he started from nothing and worked his way to the top when he spent the majority of his life selling drugs until he either lucked into or used those connections to buy his way into a job that started off paying $12 an hour when minimum wage was still $5.50 an hour and started working his way up from there while still continuing to do the illegal stuff till he was already clearing upwards of $1,000 a week. Or other stuff. But basically a raging hypocrite.

Trump is literally the stupidest wannabe dictator ever.

The scary part about trump is hes not actually the most evil republican, there are many way worse than him, if he was even halfway competent at what he was doing, he would killed a lot more people, and been re-elected to kill even more.

160,604 new cases, which still isn't anywhere near accurate and won't be for a while. Yesterday's total was updated by worldometers from the 90-somethingk I posted yesterday to 149k which is indicative of how out-of-whack the reports are going to be for a while.

In case there were some who were still skeptical:

    AK:
"The COVID Response Hub will NOT be updated on December 25th."

    CT:
"HOLIDAY SCHEDULE: Over the next two weeks, the state’s COVID-19 data report will be released on the following dates: December 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, 31 and January 2. Following this, the report will resume on its normal Monday to Friday schedule."

    DC:
"Out of respect for the health professionals who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, DC Health will not report data on Christmas Day, December 25, to allow these health professionals to rest this holiday. The data report sent on Saturday, December 26, will include numbers from December 24. The data report sent on Sunday, December 27, will include numbers from December 25 and 26."

    FL:
"In recognition of the Christmas holiday, the Department will not be issuing COVID-19 reports today. Reports will resume tomorrow, December 26."

    KS:
"The COVID-19 Dashboard and Summary document will not be updated on Friday, December 25 due to the holiday."

    LA:
"In observance of Christmas LDH will not update the dashboard on Friday, 12/25. We will resume normal updates on Sunday, 12/27."

    MA:
"COVID-19 dashboard reports will NOT be published on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25th or on New Year’s Day, Friday, January 1st. Reports published on December 26 and on January 2 will each include two days of COVID-19 data."

    MI:
"Update: Data will be updated on 12/23 and 12/26. It will not be updated on 12/24 or 12/25 due to the holiday."

    MN:
"In observance of the holiday, we will not be updating the data on this page on Friday, Dec. 25. Updates will resume on Saturday, Dec. 26."

    NC:
"The NC COVID-19 Dashboards will not be updated on Thursday, December 24 or Friday, December 25, 2020 due to the state holiday. The next update will be on Saturday, December 26, 2020."

    ND:
"HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Due to the holiday there will not be a daily news release or updated website/dashboard on Christmas Day - Friday, December 25. Everything will be updated as usual on Saturday. Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season!"

    OH:
"The Ohio Department of Health will not report numbers on Dec. 25 in observance of the holiday. Daily number reporting will resume on Dec. 26 and will reflect totals from Dec. 25 and Dec. 26"

    RI:
"Updated COVID-19 data will not be posted between 12/24 and 12/27. Data will next be updated on 12/28."

    VT:
"The dashboard will not be updated on Christmas Day (Dec. 25) or New Year's Day (Jan. 1)."
This isn't all of the ones who said they'd be skipping a day or five, but it's a good cross-section of them. Kudos to whomever had the genitals to say "Happy Holidays" in North Dakota.

1,408 deaths brings the total to 339,921 and yes, that's also extremely underreported. Worldometers updated yesterday's total from about 1,100 to about 1,300.

And now this from FOX "News":

Missouri boy, 3, suffers coronavirus-linked stroke: ‘We thought we were going to lose him’

Don't let your guard down. Vaccines may be beginning to trickle out, but we're not going to be through this for a long time still. Wear your damn masks.

    Stay safe, folks.

Dude, the cultists were out in force this Christmas. My folks (well, father and stepmom) do Christmas Eve at her mom's house, and things are just, well, worse every year. I skipped out last year, but my stepmom really wants to gather her family together and the woman is, in a lot of ways, more my mom than my mom actually is so the family and I went made the trek early for the get together. I got the usual dirty looks from the old hag for simply existing, but the big blow up was over the vaccine.

There was the usual ranting about renaming sports teams and how the world is going to hell, but things blew up when my cousin started ranting about how Nancy Pelosi got her vaccine with the cap on because it's a fake, and my brother's girlfriend -- a nursing student -- explained that the "cap" was a retractable needle that is designed to keep healthcare workers from accidently stabbing themselves in the fingers. That didn't sit well, and it all culminated with my stepmom's brother and their mom ranting about microchips and how it's unsafe. My stepmom was told if she didn't like her mother's decision to not get vaccinated she should "just leave."

All the yelling woke up my daughter so we begged off and drove back to my parents' place, but there's a lot of free floating anger now. My stepmom and dad have given up a lot of time and money fixing up her mom's place, and this is how she treated her daughter? My dad is livid, and I doubt there'll be another Christmas Eve. If there is, I'm pretty sure a lot of unkind words will be exchanged.

Since the rabid fanbase is all hiding in their bunkers, crying into their single scoop of ice cream (I haven't forgotten btw) I feel not just authorized, but mandated, to quote CNN every chance I get. If they have an objection, I'm sure they'll come back and HAHAHAHA no those cowards lost their say in the matter.

Trump's mind is elsewhere as unemployment benefits run out for millions of Americans

A day before unemployment benefits for millions of Americans were set to expire, Trump had a different insult in mind: his former-model wife has yet to appear on the cover of a fashion magazine as first lady.

"Fake news!" he complained on Twitter from Palm Beach, concerned for Melania's social station on Christmas as Americans hunkered at home, enduring a holiday diminished by pandemic, darkened by the prospect of an imminent government shutdown and shaken by an eerie explosion in Nashville that authorities said was intentional.

A day later, as those jobless benefits for gig workers and self-employed Americans were lapsing, Trump was issuing a string of angry messages about his own perceived injustices: the election he falsely claims was stolen from him and the growing roster of people he's upset won't help him reverse it.

That Trump has little penchant for reflecting the struggles and concerns of most Americans is hardly new. But his electoral loss has only seemed to harden the callousness that separates his own experience from the country's, even as he insists the country deserves more.
    So, couple things.

    1) Yes, Trump was complaining about his current wife not appearing on the media after four years of attacking the media nonstop.

    2) From the golf course.

    3) But let's dig a little deeper.

Ivana married Trump in 1977, divorced in 1992. Ivana was born in 1949 which would make her 43 when Trump cheated on her, and then dumped her, for an older woman.

Marla Maples was born 1963. Trump cheated on her, and then dumped her, in 1999. That would make her, wow, 36 or so.

    Melania was born 1970.

So, Trump cheated on, then dumped, two women both younger at the time than Melania is now.

Not that we need more proof of Trump's standards so hypocritical rogues gem it instead of haste and mastery, but Trump is now insisting other people spend their money to post, and purchase, pictures of his now fifty-year-old wife, despite cheating on and then dumping younger women.

Oh, and before I forget *ahem* $130,000. Trump cheated on Melania, too, when she was...45? Oh no wait, that's when the payment was made. He paid $130,000 to a whore for sex in...2006, meaning that he cheated on his 35/36 year old wife. Who, 14 years later, he now decides it's more important to complain that fashion magazines don't print her, than to help the millions of unemployed or evicted Americans he swore to protect.

I guess he lied about that, too.

The Swine Flu didn't kill 600k, it killed 12.5k in the US. Whoever that guy is, needs to get a head scan.

While I am glad I didn't get together with my step-father's side of the family because they are conservative, it kinda sucked not having any Christmas family get togethers.

He probably meant worldwide deaths, which the CDC estimates at 284k (range of 152k to 575k). But even then, confirmed worldwide deaths from COVID are over 1.75m, and the real total is probably over 2.5m, which means we're already at around 10x the swine flu deaths.

Don't forget that while having sex with the porn star, who he then paid to keep quite, Melania had just recently given birth to Barron. So not only did he cheat on wife number 3 he did it while she recently gave birth to their son. Donald J. Trump what a piece of shit he really is. Remember though the Evangelical Christians think he was sent by God to save America from Satan worshiping Democrats. Yes, God totally sent a man who had multiple affairs on his 3 wives(lust), gassed pastors at a church for a photo-op, lived in a gilded penthouse on the top of a tower(greed), has spent his whole presidency to spite Obama(envy), constantly attacks anyone who does not praise his feet or for even the tiniest slight(wrath), is constantly going off to golf at one of his resorts instead of working(sloth),and spends all his time telling everyone how amazing he is(pride). So God totally sent the human embodiment of the 7 deadly sins.

Saw a pretty good summation of evangelical Trump supporters a while back:

The US has said that all of this is ok. The rest of the world has a bit of a different opinion on the matter.

Not surprisingly, this was posted in the Guardian rather than on a US site.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/americans...060037636.html

Title: Americans’ acceptance of Trump’s behavior will be his vilest legacy

    Excerpts:

Most of the 74,222,957 Americans who voted to re-elect Donald Trump – 46.8%of the votes cast in the 2020 presidential election – don’t hold Trump accountable for what he’s done to America.

Their acceptance of Trump’s behavior will be his vilest legacy.
Even now, after basically blowing up the stimulus packages and golfing all week, and throwing multiple temper tantrums, there is no outcry for him to go away. Well except for lefties with TDS. So basically, the message here is that NORMAL AMERICANS ARE OK WITH WHAT TRUMP DOES, AND MANY ARE 100% BEHIND HIM. A horrible thing to say about normal Americans.

Nearly forty years ago, political scientist James Q Wilson and criminologist George Kelling observed that a broken window left unattended in a community signals that no one cares if windows are broken there. The broken window is thereby an invitation to throw more stones and break more windows.

The message: do whatever you want here because others have done it and got away with it.
America's acceptance of Trump will have long term consequences. And not just to our reputation, although that has taken a huge hit as well.

In 2008, Wall Street nearly destroyed the economy. The Street got bailed out while millions of Americans lost their jobs, savings, and homes. Yet not no major Wall Street executive ever went to jail.

In more recent years, top executives of Purdue Pharmaceuticals, along with the Sackler family, knew the dangers of OxyContin but did nothing. Executives at Wells Fargo Bank pushed bank employees to defraud customers. Executives at Boeing hid the results of tests showing its 737 Max Jetliner was unsafe. Police chiefs across America looked the other way as police under their command repeatedly killed innocent Black Americans.

Here, too, they’ve got away with it. These windows remain broken.
To be fair to Trump, he has just built upon what others before him have established as acceptable. Over the years America has made it very clear that white collar malfeasance and even crime are very acceptable. He has just taken corruption and dishonesty to the next level.

Trump has brought impunity to the highest office in the land, wielding a wrecking ball to the most precious windowpane of all – American democracy.

The message? A president can obstruct special counsels’ investigations of his wrongdoing, push foreign officials to dig up dirt on political rivals, fire inspectors general who find corruption, order the entire executive branch to refuse congressional subpoenas, flood the Internet with fake information about his opponents, refuse to release his tax returns, accuse the press of being “fake media” and “enemies of the people”, and make money off his presidency.

And he can get away with it. Almost half of the electorate will even vote for his reelection.
Not much more to add here. Trump got an amazingly high number of votes in the last election, and led republicans to gains in the House, gains in statewide races, and minimal losses in the Senate. His support remains solid.

Trump’s recent pardons have broken double-pane windows.

Not only has he shattered the norm for presidential pardons – usually granted because of a petitioner’s good conduct after conviction and service of sentence – but he’s pardoned people who themselves shattered windows. By pardoning them, he has rendered them unaccountable for their acts.

They include aides convicted of lying to the FBI and threatening potential witnesses in order to protect him; his son-in-law’s father, who pleaded guilty to tax evasion, witness tampering, illegal campaign contributions, and lying to the Federal Election Commission; Blackwater security guards convicted of murdering Iraqi civilians, including women and children; Border Patrol agents convicted of assaulting or shooting unarmed suspects; and Republican lawmakers and their aides found guilty of fraud, obstruction of justice and campaign finance violations.
You have to give Trump credit for one thing. He is very effective at taking laws and rules and conventions and twisting them to accomplish corrupt and even evil activities.

    AND...

It’s not simply the size of the broken window that undermines standards, according to Wilson and Kelling. It’s the willingness of society to look the other way. If no one is held accountable, norms collapse.

Trump may face a barrage of lawsuits when he leaves office, possibly including criminal charges. But it’s unlikely he’ll go to jail. Presidential immunity or a self-pardon will protect him. Prosecutorial discretion would almost certainly argue against indictment, in any event. No former president has ever been convicted of a crime. The mere possibility of a criminal trial for Trump would ignite a partisan brawl across the nation.
A lot of America has exuberantly cheered for Trump for being strong enough and bold enough to get away with all of this stuff. They are 100% behind him for fighting the good fight. And he has done a good job of laying the ground work for others in the future to continue where he left off.

A lot of America has exuberantly cheered for Trump for being strong enough and bold enough to get away with all of this stuff. They are 100% behind him for fighting the good fight. And he has done a good job of laying the ground work for others in the future to continue where he left off.
Which is why I’m hoping New York moves on trump with all due fire and fury to embroil him in legal battles. They have no reason not to, while Biden appoints a DOJ who will see fit to look into trumps federal crimes, assuming trump/pence doesn’t pardon Trump of them beforehand. Again, Biden has no reason not to.

Furthermore, I’m hoping that Biden will codify a lot of these “presidential/election standards” into actual laws to prevent exploitation in the future. Unfortunately his ability to do so will be greatly hampered if republicans retain control of the senate.

    Fingers crossed.

    Fingers majorly crossed.

The fights have to happen. If we lose so be it. It's like the current stimulus battles. Pelosi and Biden have done pretty much what they can do. They are putting Trump's and McConnell's feet to the fire. It's completely clear that should no stimulus happen by January 3rdd I think is the decisive date (pocket veto day), it will be solely on Trump and McConnell. And democrats need to hammer that point home.

Republican ads in Georgia are blaming democrats for the lack of stimulus. Tell a lie often enough and it becomes accepted knowledge. These need to be countered as effectively as possible.

P.S. oh ya forgot gluttony so to round it off Trump eats only crap food like hamburgers or other fast food.
But he said "I'm sorry" and he really really meant it this time. It's in the book. Jesus-kun forgives. UWU.

    I...don't know.

That's an obvious answer, but he's broadcasting hard all the "virtues" of a weak man trying to act strong -- what his rabid fanbase worships about him. It looks like he's running for office.

    After he lost.

So he's either trying to keep his crowd of cheering fans happy so he can host more fundraisers and rallies...or "running for FOX News" if that makes sense.

    Or, yeah, power high.

"Pork" is a term used for spending items put into bills that have nothing to do with the main bill, used to gain support from someone that might not otherwise have agreed to the bill.

I have a friend that says the democrats are satanists. My reply is always "So what? It's the same to me as any of the other religions and there is freedom of religion"
