What I love the most with Trump and talking about the election, is that he seemingly forgets that people could also vote for his opponent.

Some of his supporters are still claiming he didn't incite a Riot even though he absolutely incited riots with his rhetoric hours before they stormed the Capitol.

There has been some talk of that. At this point, I am not going to assume that this will happen. And having this as a possibility could very well be used as a pretty big unspoken threat to use against McConnell.

However, if republicans go full out obstructionist, I would expect democrats to go down this route.

Schumer and McConnell have some tough negotiations ahead of them. I hope that Schumer is up to the task.

IIRC D.C. Mayor has extended the state of emergency to Jan 21st, so I wouldn't be surprised if large portions of the NG simply stayed there between now and then.

I attended the rally yesterday as a supporter of the president and to be in our nation’s capital at the close of his presidency. I left before the violence began and was shocked and saddened to see it unfold on TV. I condemn the actions of those who unlawfully entered and damaged our hallowed institutions and threatened our public servants. Violence and destruction do not represent our country’s values, or the values of Rouses.

Though I am no longer involved in the day-to-day operations of Rouses, that’s my family’s name on the building and my actions reflect on my family, Rouses and this community I love so dearly. I’m horrified by the violence and destruction we saw yesterday and the pain it has caused so many. Our country desperately needs to come together to heal, and I will do everything I can to be a part of that process.
