“Do not lose time on daily trivialities. Do not dwell on petty detail. For all of these things melt away and drift apart within the obscure traffic of time. Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead.” ~ Emily3, World of Tomorrow

If the article is correct, democrats can get *one* bill passed by simple majority. The rest republicans can filibuster and require 60 votes.
With luck Schumer will learn to navigate this in a way to make it comfortable for democrats to stick together, regardless of whether or not they are able to get bills to pass, and to make it uncomfortable for republicans to stick together as an unmovable block.
So on a practical note:
Public Option and reducing medicare age from 65 to 60 - this is their bill that they only need a majority.
Green New Deal - enact as much as possible through a newly renovated EPA.
Stimulus bills: Keep bringing these up and forcing republicans to either pass them or be on record rejecting them. Quite a few of these will have to be passed to keep the economy afloat over the next year.
Whatever they end up doing, I hope they are planning out their strategies with Biden, Schumer, Pelosi, AOC, and Sanders among others in attendance.
This would give democrats solid achievements that they can run on in 2021 while being reasonably doable.

Dominion Voting Systems is suing pro-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell, asking for $1.3 billion in damages
life comes at you fast.
The problem with Mitt is that one moment he is actually having some morals, but the next he's perfectly fine with what Trump does. He flip-flopped for four years and while he helped he was definitely part of the issue. Not as bad as the other zealots, but he definitely sat on the fence just in case certain things went one way or another.
In the final full monthly report of Trump's direct leadership of the economy, the US lost 140,000 jobs.
Unemployment is at 6.7 percent.
Trump supporters will probably try to play the hypothetical game "oh, it would have been worse if Clinton..." but they will never have evidence.
"But COVID! Nobody could have prepared for this!"
*ahem*
Do not confuse "did not" with "could not".It’s one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.
Trump leaves the WH with fewer jobs than he started. About 4.8 million of them.
US GDP expected to contract by 3.6% in 2020, meaning the only time Trump's GDP passed three percent -- a lower benchmark than he promised, a benchmark he said Obama never broke, "worst President ever" etc -- was negatively.
The trade war went nowhere. We don't have a new better deal, and China did not buy what they promised.
And even if we ignore 2020 entirely (God, I wish) Trump still failed on his economic promises. We were not on pace to hit any of the above, either.
Trump either failed, or lied. There is no third choice (well "both" I guess).

I'm sure her legal team will back...oh. Right.
There has been some talk of that. At this point, I am not going to assume that this will happen. And having this as a possibility could very well be used as a pretty big unspoken threat to use against McConnell.
However, if republicans go full out obstructionist, I would expect democrats to go down this route.
Schumer and McConnell have some tough negotiations ahead of them. I hope that Schumer is up to the task.
Twitter needs to ban him.
Starts an insurrection and immediately calls them yet again Patriots after he makes a fake Apology.

This article is titled Republican senators now regret not doing more to contain Trump
Now, most of the article is stuff we already discussed. And the article's main source is a GOP Senator who asked his name withheld. Which is the same level of protection I get here, allowing me to be a completely vindicitive asshole. Which I freely admit. But yeah, they're still scared of Trump.
However.
-- the sourceThere’s more concern about the long-term damage to the party than losing two Senate seats in Georgia
That's still a self-damning admission, anonymity or not. Whether they say it in their inside or outside voices, the GOP now knows how badly they fucked up in allowing, or becoming, the Party of Trump.
Too litle, too late. I hope the thought of personally taking a role that directly attacked democracy keeps them warm at night.
Meanwhile I'm convinced the rabid fanbase is still in the "Trump did nothing wrong" category. Nothing left there to salvage. Burn it down. Salt the earth.
They don't get to express regret, fuck every single one of them.
they are doing what all of us said they'd do... try and retcon the last four years, as soon as Trump was no longer beneficial to them. They wanted to trade their principles and orals for SCOTUS justices, well they got them. Now, they get to pay for the rest of their lives. I will never vote for anyone who supported Trump. I will never think of any Trump-supporting politician as anything other that a fucking Nazi. They chose their lot in life, and I plan on holding them responsible.
