That and it shows that our leaders would be held somewhat accountable for their actions. As far as I'm concerned, it is about him not being able to hold public office ever again.

Bernie supporters have never favored tax cuts for the rich or big businesses.

And yet, Bernie supporters have long pushed misinformation about Bernie being screwed over during an election, and love the idea of socialism... just like the Trumpsters.

Don't worry about Trump's EO's over these last 10 days btw too much (if he's not removed sooner). Any of them will be swiped away very quickly January 20th.

Also, why in the world is anyone still talking about Bernie and Socialism lol? It's wild how effective fear mongering political ads are. Bernie wasn't even close in the primary. And it really doesn't take much fact checking at all to understand that his infamous "call me a socialist" sentence specifically was in reference to his position on universal healthcare, not a statement of his overall political affiliation. Yet here we are still 4 years later with people still fear mongered into scares of "Socialism" by ads that took his sentence out of context and then applied it to the entire Democrat party.

Is why I am on board, as for the rest of his criminal family not being able to pardon them and putting them in prison after facing a trial along with everyone else in leadership that encouraged this treason.

I just watched a video today where Alex Jones was going in on QAnon, I mean for the Famous Barker of Stupidity and Fear has had enough, I am not sure what that says about everyone else left standing holding the bag.

Gotta Love how Trump is rumored to be visiting the ALAMO and encouraging more of these idiots he was quick to throw under the bus before he back peddled again.

You know, when professional Crazy Man and Angry Baby stunt double Alex Jones has enough of you, you went off the deep end into a black hole.

True, but that's only half the problem.
The other half is cluelessness about development of the left-wing in the rest of the world, including social democrats, the last couple of decades.

I was wondering the same when I saw the capitol pictures. What exactly did they think would happen lol. Congress was just there to look at the results and say yeah so there's that congrats Biden. But some rednecks storm the Capitol and congress... what... says "well now you're here Trump remains president" the end? My sides hurt laughing.

To show the world that actions have consequences.

You know, I'm looking from Germany and wonder for the last 4 years how any other government could even do business with the USA seeing how her president lies when he opens his mouth. I thought yeah well there'll be another and maybe we'll get more stable relationships.

Now that the president has incited violent sedition/insurrection or whatever the correct term is and will not get removed from office? Why the fuck would any other country believe anything your congress says? If the president can do whatever he wants without checks and balances then why even trust Biden.

It's been a shitshow and if the US wants to be seen as a shining light in the dark again it really must sort it out. And that includes kicking a coup inciter to the curb.

I keep seeing people say that Trump should be impeached to stop him running in future but after everything that has happened is this really a possibility?

I'm not from the US so maybe I am missing something but my reading of the situation is that his actions have rightly made him a pariah, so how likely is that Trump could find backing for a push in 2024?

They say a week is a long time in politics but I think his involvement with the shocking events will still be fresh in voters' minds even in four years time and even those who previously supported him will be turned away if he ran.

Nor can I see the Republican Party wanting anything to do with him, or his family, and I am not even sure if they will have recovered from the damage he has caused them by 2024. Also from what I can gather it is as difficult for an independent or new party to break the two party stranglehold in the US as it is here, in the UK so without a party backing him he has no chance.

As far as I can tell you've seen the last of Trump, at least politically and I think he has done enough (possibly irreparable) damage to his business interests that he will at minimum be kept out of the public eye.

Have I got this wrong? Would there really be support for him in 2024?
