44 Senators who voted that it is unconstitutional to impeach a former President are pieces of dung.
I know, I know. Technically it's not up to them, so vote is moot. We all get the picture here and again previously what Trump's lawyer tried to argue the 'slippery slope', would turn around in a nano second to get a Dem President.

Are you saying your body doesn’t go through sensory habituation?

1. in general, the process of growing accustomed to a situation or stimulus.
2. the diminished effectiveness of a stimulus in eliciting a response, following repeated exposure to the stimulus.

CSPAN callers are fun. Democrats comin to git us, veterans who think their service alone, not the Constitution, is why we have a right to vote (doubly so for veterans who were sent to Korea and Vietnam, neither of which posed a domestic threat in the slightest), something about God and something else.
I was half listening, but man are they working overtime to make 100% certain we know they're all a bunch of ignorant nutters.
Just to put this to bed so we can all move on, I went ahead and messaged one of my Jewish friends to ask what was up. His response:
"If Schoen's an Orthodox Jew then it's either reflexive because he's used to wearing a yarmulke or he's doing it because the head must be covered while eating or drinking and him covering it with his hand is a concession made because he's not wearing one. In both cases he's a bad Orthodox Jew because he's lying."

Sen. Butch Cassidy [R-Sundance] and...
(checks notes)
Sen. Bill Cassidy [R-LA] explains his decision to vote that the trial is Constitutional and should proceed.
No you're not.I said I'd be an impartial juror
Hmm. Three "I'm an impartial juror" in thirty seconds. Well, time to dust off this one:Anyone listening to those arguments, the House managers were focused. They were organized. They relied upon both precedent, the constitution and legal scholars. They made a compelling reason. President Trump's team were disorganized.
They did everything they could but to talk about the question at hand. And when they talked about it, they kind of glided over it, almost as if they were embarrassed of their arguments. Now I'm an impartial juror, and one side is doing a great job. And the other side is doing a terrible job on the issue at hand. As an impartial juror, I'm going to vote for the side that did the good job
Okay, while to be fair to someone who will vote to acquit, Cassidy did continue that Trump's lawyers were so all over the place, at one point Cassidy asked Cruz if Trump's lawyers knew the question at hand.I'm not a Trump supporter, but isn't Trump just the best at literally everything and his dick tastes like Bud Light
"What did Cruz say?"
Not now.
"But it's important!"
Cruz said "Not now". As in, "leave me alone, I want to hear this unrelated nonsense".
Well, Cassidy made a clear and (cough) "impartial" case based on the merits as discussed. I'm sure he'll at least--
LA GOP votes to rebuke Cassidy for his vote.
Ah. We can't have anyone using objective facts and evidence in the Republican Party, I see. It's all about the Trump cult.
Well you know the rules. All resident Trump supporters, you have 24 hours to speak to the matter of Cassidy's Republican Party rebuking him for his vote. Failure to do so means you agree with the party.
Your opinions on the matter are specifically and directly being called for. Comment on the Republican Party (of his own state) rebuking Cassidy for siding with the party that made their case, over the one which did not.

Well, the critic reviews are in.
The first movie, Castor, ran way, way too long and had entirely too much pointless dialogue in what can only be seen as an attempt to cover up the fact that there was no plot. It seems as if the shooting began before the script was even finished, as evidenced by the handwritten notes making up the script. Casting and especially costume were extremely lacking, and the absence of special or practical effects really made the whole thing land with a "thud". It appears Senators were too confused and bored to actually have a reaction, so by default this gets a half a thumb down.
The second movie, Schoen, was much better. We can argue over the accuracy of the dialogue, but there's no ignoring that it was emotional and seemingly compelling. In using visual aids to highlight plot points it helped show, not just tell, viewers what the narrative of the movie was supposed to be. While it wasn't without its oddities and quirks, it at least commanded attention and felt like there was a script in-place before they started shooting. This receives a standing ovation from the Senate.
The MMOC Impeachment Film Review will return with more reviews following the next screening.
95,542 new cases, about 21k fewer than last Tuesday.
Top 5:
Texas: 13,262 new cases; 303 deaths
California: 11,068 new cases; 520 deaths
New York: 8,319 new cases; 172 deaths
Fuck Florida.
Arizona: 4,381 new cases; 231 deaths
We're under 100k for the third day straight (and late numbers from Nebraska and such shouldn't change that) which is a good sign. The rate of decrease over last week was halved today which is less great, but it's still heading in the right direction and there's still room for it to go up over the next few days. Tuesdays are often slightly off thanks to corrections from Sundays and Mondays. The spike from Arizona is a tad worrying as it's double what they posted last Tuesday, but it might be a fluke/correction. We'll see what the next few days bring. Thanks to maskless dipshits in Florida on Sunday there will likely be mini-outbreaks around the country as they bring it to their home states.
3,265 deaths is about 450 fewer than last Tuesday and brings the total to 479,772. We still have 36 states reporting at least double digits and seven states with triple digits, but those are steadily coming down as expected as the new case count falls. California and Texas numbers in particular will likely remain grim for a while.

Not directly, that's true. But they can take Trump's stake in any properties he partially owns. That's a plurality at least, possibly a majority in some cases. Since NY AGs and banks probably don't actually want the stock, they'ld likely sell...and Trump's family won't be able to afford it, and Trump can't because in his hypothetical he's bankrupt and broke. This would probalby lead to Trump's properties being taken from him, his name scrubbed from them, and his family fired.
I think John Oliver uses a montage of CSPAN crazy calls as a 1min filler every few eps on Last Week Tonight

what money does any of his blood related family have that isn't just a glorified allowance he gives them.
"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.
Laws can be made to enforce order of cruelty and brutality.
Equality and Justice, that is how you have peace and a society that benefits all.
With the second impeachment itself surviving the vote, when the Republican Party deciines to convict they will be saying Trump's actions are allowable.
Not that we need more evidence, but when that happens, all Trump supporters are immediately branded as supporters of murderous insurrection. Since that's what their party is defending.
They're free to specifically condemn it, but, um, have they?
"I am here to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I'm all out of gum".
So, yeah, the GOP is about to publicly declare that instigating a murderous insurrection is completely okay. Meanwhile the GOP is already trying to impeach Biden for...um...rooting for the Eagles, I guess.

So expect more of this.
EPA scientists come out from hiding to say Trump overruled environmental protections to appease corporate backers.
"Why didn't they speak up before?"Issuing documents, like the PFBS Toxicity Assessment, that include conclusions purporting to reflect science when in fact they are the product of biased political interference undermines the agency’s scientific integrity policy
Well some of them probably did, but, if they had Trump would have just fired them.
