On the day of Biden's moment of silence for 500,000 deaths, Fauci flat-out blames Trump for a big chunk of the deaths.

Fauci made the comments on the same day the country's death toll reached half a million people one year after the start of the pandemic. Calling the grim milestone "stunning" in an interview with Reuters, Fauci said the divide over mask wearing, which split Americans politically during a presidential election year, turned the public health measure into a political statement.

“Even under the best of circumstances, this would have been a very serious problem,” Fauci said.

“However, that does not explain how a rich and sophisticated country can have the most percentage of deaths and be the hardest-hit country in the world,” Fauci said.

Fauci also called the disregard by some governors and mayors of recommendations for how to reopen the country safely after near-nationwide lockdowns last spring "incomprehensible."

“When the American spirit is so divided, that really, really made me sad,” he said.

While Fauci would not lay all the blame on the former Trump administration, he noted "the lack of involvement at the very top of the leadership in trying to do everything that was science-based was clearly detrimental to the effort."

While the U.S. has 4 percent of the world’s population, it has almost 20 percent of all coronavirus deaths, according to Reuters.

Yeah, you see them as just bizarre collector pieces sometimes, but they are pretty rare out of certain hunting circles. They are terribly uncomfortable to shoot, since they are typically rifle calibers in a strange pistol frame. He is probably using them to collect elephant tails or something. They have no real practical purpose, since they are just inferior to an actual rifle in every way. The point of them is to claim you shot a thing with a pistol, but still be using a 300 Remington Magnum or something.

The most common one I know of is the XP-100, mostly sold in .22 caliber "varmint" rounds like the .221 Fireball, .223 Rem, .22-250, and .204 Ruger. It is still popular for long range handgun competition. Personally I prefer the T/C Contender

It's because the Constitution spells out the requirements to hold office, but leaves requirements for voting eligibility up to the States.

Federal requirements sure but we are also talking about getting on the ballot now aren't we? Something a candidate has to do state by state and meet the individual requirements of that state.
We saw states that tried to force presidential candidates to release there birth certificate and tax returns or else not be allowed to be put on the ballot. These laws went nowhere and I doubt that it would have survived in the courts (it was a reaction to Obama/Trump getting elected) but it does tell me that even on a certain level you can have additional requirements.

Can he do? I mean can somebody with a criminal record be even put on ballot in some of these states?
Elections are run by the state and not by federal law and if you can't vote in some of these states then it would be weird if you could run office in these states.

That is the million dollar question. Would the states put him on the ballot or would he sue to try and overturn any state law that would bar him if there are laws that would bar him from running again if he went to prison.

In a truly shocking twist, NASA says it can't go to the Moon by 2024 after all. This startling development is apparently the result of a new discovery that spaceships are expensive, and nobody actually gave NASA enough money to build them. As it turns out, while Grit, Moxie, and a Can-Do attitude are all essential to getting to the Moon, money is also a necessary ingredient.

Of course, the previous administration was extremely confident that funding the program at less then 15% of the requested money would not cause serious issues or delays, but apparently the Biden administration is made of up quitters and losers that keep finding all sorts of excuses not to go. Like not having a launch vehicle, a lander, a capsule, or any astronauts training for the mission. At least Trump knew that going to the moon really only requires confidence and a twitter post, and that 2024 was like, a long way away anyway.
