The SC has final say in interpreting the constitution. And that includes the question if Congress has to power of impeachment over a former President.
They have power of the current president, no question there, but the subject of ex-Presidents is not mentioned in the constitution.
After his term ends Trump will no longer be President.

Also the trump campaign in court never brought up anything about fraud. Doing so has a harder bar of evidence to hurdle and so went out of their way when pinned down by judges if they were claiming fraud declined to do so.

I'm not saying they should have. I'm just saying that the Supreme Court would still need to work with established precedent. I find it hard to expect they'll be doing him any favors unless whatever case he brings is something truly far fetched enough to not be covered under some sort of precedent.
