It's a reminder that unarmed people killed by cops is not an instant judgement against the use of force.

Dead cops is an exaggeration, and nobody truly thinks that cops dying of strokes after shocking incidents (insurrection, riots, what have you) can be laid at the feet of insurrectionists and rioters. The other insulting and indefensible actions of the insurrectionists stand just as appalling absent a real body count.

Because most times if you're a knowing participant in a crime in which someone dies because of the risky actions you undertook, you generally get put on the hook for first-degree murder.

Frankly, every single person that broke into the capitol building should be on the docket for treason and thank their lucky stars that whatever sentence they get isn't them being hanged.

It's even better, since they'll happily accept the conclusion of the medical examiner when it gets them off the hook in this instance, but will still swear up and down that Floyd died of an overdose, despite literally all of the evidence to the contrary.

In a way it's logically consistant; since both excuses takes the blame right off 'their' guys and puts it on the victim's bodily health just-so-happening to fail due to underlying medical conditions that seemed otherwise fine until exposed to very-specific duress in the presence of right-wing nutjobs.

Actually with this excuse you can also apply it to their general view of COVID: Sure Right-wing leadership let the disease fester, but the lethality is overblown and if you happened to die from it you were going to die anyway so sucks to be you.

He can think that all he wants, but much like how he should have been removed, impeachment doesn't mean anything other then stating that you suck at your job and you need to be removed from it for X reason. It is the Senate that has all the power there to remove whomever is the President.

I've stated before that generally Articles of Impeachment are either talked about or brought forth for nearly every president in the last 40 years in some way, shape or form. Unless the Senate has 67 Republican senators, there is no chance of anyone being removed. None.

You're gonna jail a lot of minorities in this country if you only assume/deduce vague intent, and measure any deaths from strokes, cardiac arrest, anything with heightened risk from stress, and shove them both together. Kaleredar tripped a guy, he happened to fall in such a way as to cause hospitalization and death, so clearly Kaleredar intended to cause harm, harm was caused, punish him for the harm.

If I broke into someone’s house screaming “trip him! Trip him!” and tripped a guy and he suffered bodily harm or death from it I’d say yeah, I should be culpable. Because that’s actually a metaphor for what happened on the 6th, instead of whatever nonsense you just described.

Are you not aware that the January 6th insurrectionists were a violent mob that broke numerous federal laws with the express intent of terrorizing and coercing elected officials into overturning a just and fair election? And no, it doesn’t matter if the insurrectionists thought the election was “stolen” any more than it would matter if a back robber thought they deserved the money in a bank.

You seem to be extending an awful lot of “innocent” points to these people that they clearly do not deserve.
