In which Tucker Carlson spent his show last night attacking General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Join Chiefs of Staff, calling him stupid, questioning his loyalty, and questioning his qualifications.

When was the last time Tucker Carlson put on a uniform, again?

Man, it's sure interesting to see Republicans and conservatives suddenly decide they hate the military.

Questioning they loyalty of someone who spent his/hers entire life in the service of protecting the country and made it to chief of staff.
Thats a bit far fetched to do in a whimp even for the Pravda of GOP.

Using his logic, Tucker Carlson only has his show because he knows the right anus's to tongue.

I like that metaphor because the average viewer of his show has the equal amount of braincells as an anus.

Also, I guess the KKK is standing in solidarity with Republicans against CRT. Weird how Republicans and the KKK have so many overlapping views and are often on the same side of the issue. Quite weird.
You would think for people with any form of decency, common sense, or at least some working brain cells would look to their left and see a fully clad KKK klansman and to their right a Nazi sporting a swastika armband that they would ask themselves "Am I the bad guy?"

LA Times article so non-paywalled version is above. Extensive investigation into voter fraud in a SoCal county apparently based off of no real evidence but instead the unsupported claims of people panicking about voter fraud. What did they find? Some non-citizens that were accidentally registered to vote (but didn't) and...a single case.

So we're at least in the second decade of the "WIDESPREAD VOTER FRAUD!" conspiracies, and Republicans still have yet to notch a win or find any actual evidence to support the claims.

Trump Organization Could Face Criminal Charges in D.A. Inquiry

The Manhattan district attorney’s office has informed Donald J. Trump’s lawyers that it is considering criminal charges against his family business, the Trump Organization, in connection with fringe benefits the company awarded a top executive, according to several people with knowledge of the matter.

"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.
Laws can be made to enforce order of cruelty and brutality.
Equality and Justice, that is how you have peace and a society that benefits all.

OOOhhhhh charges as early as next week? Very good stuff! Was expecting Gaetz to be charged first. Seems like the race is on!

    Cybersecurity expert, obviously.

Thought I wouldn't be surprised if he was retroactively demoted to "covfefe boy".

Maybe? It's recent, and at least in the general neighborhood.

    Incidentally:

“In my more than 50 years of practice, never before have I seen a district attorney’s office target a company over employee compensation or fringe benefits,” said Ronald P. Fischetti, a personal lawyer for Mr. Trump. “It’s ridiculous and outrageous.”

Several lawyers who specialize in tax rules have told The New York Times that it would be highly unusual to indict a company just for failing to pay taxes on fringe benefits. None of them could cite any recent example, noting that many companies provide their employees with benefits like company cars.
Which means, of course, one of three things:
    1) no charges to be filed, or
    2) charges on fringe benefits to be filed, which means NYState is going after Trump like the US went after Capone, plus they're pissed off, or
    3) the charges are not only about fringe benefits, and the investigation hit something truly ugly.

    We'll find out eventually.

Also, the NYTimes reports that the Insurrection Act of 1807 was invoked twice, the most recent in 1992 for the Rodney King riots. For those of you not familiar with the Rodney King riots, take the recent BLM activity, and say "wow, this is nowhere near as bad as the Rodney King riots".

Anyhow, some WH members drew up a draft order for the Insurrection Act to be used a third time, for, yes, the BLM protests. In case Trump's whims led him that way. Fortunately, Trump was too busy murdering Americans with COVID to actually invoke the Act. Or he got distracted by his daughters tits and forgot. Whatever. It could have been a lot worse.

It might be more nuanced than that, but it boils down to "how dare you charge my client for their crimes?"

At what point did Republicans decide that going after the military was even remotely a good idea? "Support our troops!" has traditionally only been second to "God bless America!" in the Conservative Pandering Playbook. Seems completely counterproductive to me...
