She has heard about second-hand smoke, right? And that smoking is banned in nearly every school campus?

    TIL that cancer is communicable.

    ...

    Oh, wait, no it's not.

Also: schools have closed in the past for the flu... plenty of times. Even in Georgia. As recently as... <checks notes> ...less than two years ago, just before COVID hit.

Well, if you'll recall one particularly memorable Trump rally, leaving supporters stranded in the cold IS a hallmark of conservative action these days.

What I wouldn't give for someone to stand up and shout "you lost, get off the fucking stage, jackass!" every time he showed up somewhere to talk about himself.

I remember how we joked that he'd be doing weddings post-presidency. It uh...seems like he kinda is.

    This is wild and hilarious.

Maybe that's why Greene is confused. Her actually being a small, smooth-brained yowling marsupial would make an awful lot of sense...

True, plus that only causes one specific type of cervical cancer.

It's also not being passed along in schools. By some school-age kids, perhaps, but very likely not in school during school hours.

Looks and smells like fascism to me. As someone pointed out, they seem ok with wearing masks too.

While I'll never go to bat for any Congress person's so called intelligence, once again the projection of the GOP always attacking AOC when they have this scum and people such as Goemert, Boebert and I could keep going on and on.

It's actually implicated in several other types (penile, testicular, anal, esophageal) , though is a less common cause of them, whereas it's responsible for like 99%+ of cervical cancer.

We've been talking various points about this case, funny how we missed this. In any event, we already know the judge is skeptical that anything a WH resident says is work-product. Simply put, if I in my state govt classroom on state govt time said "you in the front row, stop dressing like a whore in my class" you can bet it's my ass paying for the lawyer.

still a virus that is contagious not the cancer.

Also the irony of the whole thing is.....

there is a vaccine for HPV which was developed relatively fast and without all the claims about 5G reception Though they have tried to claim a whole bunch of wacky things about it and flooded/use VAERS as proof people die from vaccines (even though that is not what VAERS shows). Sound familiar?
Religious groups jumped on the fact that it would cause kids to have more sex....umm....yah....

Though Texas was being Texas on vaccines long before COVID. The history of HPV vaccine sure gave an outlook on how they were going to handle vaccines going forward.

On a side note for all those people who claim Drug company profits need to be protected cause new drugs and vaccines won't be created:

The vaccine was first developed by the University of Queensland in Australia and the final form was made by researchers at the University of Queensland, Georgetown University Medical Center, University of Rochester, and the U.S. National Cancer Institute
    Buh Byeeeeeeeeeeee !!

Pharma isn't as simple as "let's produce a thing". Creating a new product, even if it's a compound that already exists, requires sourcing pharma grade materials, writing new QC methods for any new raw materials, drafting specification files on your product and which methods from the USP or Ph.Eur. (or both) you will use to comply with those specifications. Then you need to qualify your new production line and get that approved, train personnel, and probably a hundred other steps I'm missing.

Producing a drug is cheap. Adhering to Good Manufacturing Process to ensure the patients safety is not.

Basically everything you just mentioned goes into any manufacturing. There are already standards written by outside entities, so it isn't like they are investing their own money and time into creating policies. They are just conforming to existing ones. As far as the manufacturing process goes, nothing you said is at all unique to the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. Each industry has its own standards, but those standards spill into every other industry. Pfizer doesn't manufacture their own pill bottles, those come from somewhere else. They don't manufacture the labels that go on those pill bottles, those come from another source. All manufacturing, all companies that have to follow strict standards. They don't get to charge ~30 times what the product cost to make because Pfizer can just go somewhere else to get it. However, you can't do that with medicine which is why these companies get away with it.

All my machines have to be qualified by VARIOUS sources, including customers, the actual manufactures that supply them, and government entities. All my workers have to be trained to use these machines. My in house QC has to develop SOPs, work duties, and other policies surrounding them. We don't get to pass that cost onto our customers though.

Adhering to good manufacturing processes in incredibly easy but yes, it does cut into your profit margin. That's the price of every business though.
