Many states redistricting aren't really an issue. CA, I believe, uses a non-partisan committee rather than partisan lawmakers to redraw districts, so it's less of an issue.

Not really, unless his district changed a ton (and again, I don't think it did), he's got a fairly safe seat.

Won by nearly 10 points last election, and there are a number of grassroots CA groups that have been actively working to try to get rid of him for years.

From what I've seen, districts only shifted a little bit, no major changes.

Spicer is still fired. He sued over his removal from the Naval Academy board by the Biden administration. Granted, he actually graduated from the Naval War College and was in the Naval Reserves, so at least it's not a totally random and out of nowhere job.

But the judge reminded him that he is not entitled to this position, which is filled at the discretion of the Executive branch. What one president does, another can largely undo if they follow the rules. And unlike the Trump administration who saw their efforts constantly rolled back because they couldn't follow the rules (see: DACA), team Biden seems to be following them and getting shit done.

Won't anyone do anything about THEM!?

And again, not that THEM!, though it's more likely that that THEM! exists than "THEY" exist.
Is this like the movie They Live! and we have to send in wrestlers with sunglasses on to find out the truth? I hear The Rock is always looking to do a movie. Can't get Roddy Piper anymore though.

Meadows confesses in his new book for some reason that Trump nearly died in the WH because COVID, and had to be convinced to go the hospital before his blood oxygen hit fatal levels.

"So naturally, he called Pence to tell--"

    No.

Honestly, if Trump had died in office, his cult would have...well...I would say "lost their minds" but it was already too late for that. But seriously, it's probably for the best that he didn't become a martyr for those lunatics. The messiah garbage that sprung up around him is bad enough.

He’s also not President and his shitty hotel isn’t any kind of WH. Just a way to funnel taxes into his personal accounts.
He's literally dressed as a dick, his hands are tiny, and you know he was forced in front of the camera and it all shows.

Edit: I knew it was too good to be true. Oh well.

I can only imagine the next 50 years of conspiracy theories from the GQP how they can prove X democrat or Y Deep State killed him with Z hoax.

Can't say for sure. Since the redraw in, what was it, 2001? The district became significantly less competitive with Republicans either getting ~60%+ of the vote or running completely unopposed by a Democrat, and since the redraw in ~2011, and I think mainly because of Trump era politics, it has become quite a bit more competitive.

With new lines being drawn again and Nune's district merging with some blue stretches in the red, and McCarthy's district taking some more of those red voters, I can see why Nune's is leaving.

Of course, none of that means the lines were intentionally gerrymandered. Just the way things turned out.

A solution to the harassment and partisanship at school board meetings from a Republican state Senator from AZ?

Just make them partisan so you can vote D or R.

I'm not sure how this improves it, because it seems like it will make things worse. But this seems par for the course for Republicans, sadly.

Their play isn't to improve, in fact the opposite. Degradation is their only play, so, make every single thing political. School board members, science, social studies everything about schools has to be political. The final play is Math. When they're arguing 1+1=2 is devil worshipping.

    You mean something like this?

Man...Dan Crenshaw is like...100% on-point in his description of the Freedumb Caucus "performance artists" and correctly calling out that one of their most hated foes - Republican Adam Kinzinger - has a better record of voting for Trump supported legislation than any of them do. And he publicly criticizes Trump often.

He's still a shit grifter himself, but considerably less so than the Freedumb Caucus. I'm still gonna be here for this Republican Civil War.

"Because they know something psychologically about the conservative heart, we're worried about what people are going to do to us. What they're going to infringe upon us."

Man...thanks for perfectly calling out why the entire world view and logic of the conservative movement in America is fundamentally twisted and fucked up.

Here's an idea. Bear with me. I know it's ludicrous. But maybe. Just maybe. If they, work with me here, if they weren't such vindictive dickholes. I know, big stretch of the imagination, but hypothetically, if they weren't vindictive dickholes, they wouldn't have to worry as much about what people are going to do to them. For being vindictive dickholes.

    Fairy tale fodder. I know.

It smacks of the ol’ “why are republicans so concerned about white people becoming a minority? Are they saying minorities aren’t treated well?”
“Do not lose time on daily trivialities. Do not dwell on petty detail. For all of these things melt away and drift apart within the obscure traffic of time. Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead.” ~ Emily3, World of Tomorrow
