As a reminder, not only has Rep. Brooks been a faithful ally for the last six years, but also, Trump is continuing to push election fraud with not only no evidence, but the evidence against as well. Brooks made a choice to focus on relevant issues and as such Trump, continuing to spout conspiracy theories with nothing but his word to back them, dropped him.

I also like how Trump took credit for Brooks' 44-point lead. It's like taking credit for unemployment dropping from 42% on Jan 20, 2017.

"Breccia didn't you personally point out Brooks turned on Sen. McConnnel?"

Why yes I did, it was literally 2 days ago, thank you for noticing voice in my head.

"So...if Brooks doesn't have the Party of Trump and he doesn't have the Republican Party, what does he have?"

Well, for his sake, I would hope the people of Alabamer. But he's up for re-election this very year, I mean duh he's a Representative of course he is, and he could now be double-primaried.

In the Party of Trump, there is only loyalty to Trump. Even saying "let's move on from 2020" is now heresy. Trump is still claiming election fraud. So, yeah, you know what this means. Any Trump supporter who dares to show their face in these forums, must now speak out on election fraud. This is the Trump thread, Trump has made it very clear election fraud is his biggest (only?) issue, therefore, we need to hear from Trump supporters their opinion on the subject. Anything else will be summarily handwaved, because the biggest issue for Trump in a Trump thread needs to be discussed by Trump supporters before anything else like, I dunno, Biden's good unemployment results.

EDIT: Oh, I didn't mean to suggest non-Trump supporters need to discuss, or not discuss, election fraud. We can discuss any Trump-related topic as normal. Trump has simply made election fraud his only issue, and therefore, Trump supporters' point of view on the subject is now mandatory. Everyone else is not so restricted, we follow candidates with more than one platform issue.
This just helps McConnell. Trump played himself, again. He can't help but shoot himself in the foot.

I actually took the time to read not just the FOX News version of the story, but also, the comments being posted live. It appears to be a nearly 50/50 split of people saying "Brooks was losing and Trump has no endorsement clout anymore, it's time to look elsewhere" and "LOL 2000 pages of election fraud evidence I drive trucks y'all HUNTER BIDEN!" If you don't mind the cookies FOX drops, it's worth a look.

The first 50% are right. In a recent poll Brooks had about 18% support and both his primary opponents had about 33% each. He could spoil, but that's about it.

That said, I did stumble across that Brooks is apparently running for Senate, so, he's not a complete dumbass for going after McConnell. Just 90% of one, because now he has no backers.

    Quit your DoOMpoSts challenge 20222!

"Clarence Thomas will recover in 2 days guys!"

New - Justice Thomas absent from Supreme Court arguments for third straight day. Chief Justice Roberts again says Thomas will participate using briefs/transcript. He has been hospitalized since Friday evening with what the court described Sunday as an infection.

Who will recover sooner, Thomas or the Moscow Exchange?

Three months after this interview, on Oct. 26, Mark Meadows’s wife, Debra, appeared at the Macon County community building in Franklin, N.C., and filled out a one-stop voter application to cast an early ballot in the 2020 presidential election. She also dropped off an absentee ballot that she had requested for her husband, then the White House chief of staff, an election board official said.

On her one-stop application, provided this week by the North Carolina Board of Elections to The Fact Checker, Debra Meadows certified that she had resided at a 14-by-62-foot mountaintop mobile home for at least 30 days — even though she did not live there. At the top of the form is a notice that “fraudulently or falsely completing this form” is a Class I felony.
Man, are both the Meadows gonna get pinched for felony voter fraud in NC? That'd be wonderful, eh?

Former Trump aide Paul Manafort’s trip to Dubai was cut short after he was removed from a plane at Miami International Airport because he had a revoked passport.

Manafort was removed from the Emirates Airline flight without incident Sunday night, according to Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta.
What's Manafort up to, trying to fly out of country with a revoked passport?

I believe his passport was taken earlier because he was a flight risk during the Russia investigation. And passport issues are federal, not local. I don't know if his passport was revoked for him because he's a convicted (pardoned) felon. I'm told that's a possibility.

When looking around, the most common cause cited was failure to pay taxes. Which can easily happen when you commit financial crimes. Also child support, but, not in this case.

Manafort is a Russian agent, well, "pro-Russia Ukraine" agent. He was forced to register thusly. Dubai is where a lot of money is. It would not surprise me at all if Manafort, in the ongoing effort to help Putin, was trying to arrange a sanctions detour to help his Russian, I mean, "pro-Russian Ukraine" friends whose money is locked up. In other words, this is exactly why financial crimes should revoke your passport.

Obviously this story just broken and I'm working with what little information we have. The stories say "revoked" not "expired" or "lost". Passports don't get "revoked" by accident, and I don't think Manafort "revoked" his own passport. Well, other than committing crimes and being caught, that is.

Sarah Palin tries to get the judge to remove himself for saying she could not prove her case against the NYTimes, seconds before the jury also said she could not prove her case against the NYTimes. This move, I guess? would change the verdict from "both the judge and jury found she had no case" to "she gets another try", or that's what I'm assuming because otherwise why bother?

The issue seems to revolve around the fact that the judge said "no matter what the jury says, you have no case and I'm ruling that way" and Palin says that contaminated the jury. Who...had their smart phones with them, apparently, you'd think that's the problem, but no. In other words, Palin's lawyers are saying "if you hadn't announced ahead of time, we couldn't file this legal motion". Which is a stupid thing to say when going for an effective appeal. Even if it works, it shouldn't but they might humor her, but even if it works the next judge will just not say anything, wait till Palin makes no case, then throw it out without saying anything. Or, better yet, let the jury find there's no case and say nothing.

We are seeing Team Trump try everything in a court case except "not committing crimes". At least, in this case, Palin is the plaintiff.

Trump giveth, and Trump taketh. Despite genuflecting and promising to remove McConnell if he was elected to the Senate, Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks has lost Trump's endorsement in his bid for the Senate.

    Why?

Mo Brooks of Alabama made a horrible mistake recently when he went ‘woke’ and stated, referring to the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, ‘Put that behind you, put that behind you,’ despite the fact that the Election was rife with fraud and irregularities

    https://www.businessinsider.com/alab...rsement-2022-3

Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama accused Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of "manipulating" former President Donald Trump after Trump withdrew his endorsement of Brooks' US Senate campaign.

"It's disappointing that, just like in 2017, President Trump lets Mitch McConnell manipulate him again. Every single negative TV ad against our campaign has come from McConnell and his allies," Brooks said in a statement. "I wish President Trump wouldn't fall for McConnell's ploys, but, once again, he has."
Brooks, a beta-cuck, blaming Mitch McConnel for his loss of Trump's endorsement. I guess there is no personal responsibility within the Republican party.

You have a point. SCOTUS is not giving out much information despite being asked for obvious reasons.

The court said Sunday that Thomas had been admitted to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington on Friday after experiencing “flu-like symptoms,” and he was diagnosed with an infection. His “symptoms are abating,” and he was expected to be released Monday or Tuesday, the court said in a statement at the time. But on Wednesday morning, court spokeswoman Patricia McCabe said she had no update to provide.

The court heard arguments Wednesday morning and Chief Justice John Roberts said, as he has for the past two days, that while Thomas was not present he would participate in the case by reviewing the arguments’ transcript and briefs. Roberts said Thomas was “unable to be present today” without explanation.
I have seen little about Thomas' health problems. He missed a few days in Oct 2019 and apparently couldn't serve in the military because his backbone is crooked. Yes yes, spineless jokes follow. But he knows how important his seat is to the far right and that Biden's in charge for two years and change. A few days in a hospital with intravenous antibiotics doesn't sound like a lot of fun, and other than "it's not COVID" we don't know anything except intravenous antibiotics suggest it's not a random-ass cough.

    - - - Updated - - -

Oh hey, we have a statement from Mo Brooks.

Trump asked me to rescind the 2020 elections, immediately remove Joe Biden from the White House, immediately put Trump back in the White House, and hold a new special election for the presidency. As a lawyer, I’ve repeatedly advised Trump that January 6 was the final election contest verdict and neither the U.S. Constitution nor the U.S. Code permit what Trump asks. Period.

I took a sworn oath to defend and protect the U.S. Constitution. I honor my oath. That is the way I am. I break my sworn oath for no man.
I don't know when Brooks would have advised that. Perhaps he mentioned that to Trump at the Jan 6th rally, at which Mo Brooks spoke and said there was fraud.

Today is a time of choosing and tomorrow is a time of fighting. Today is also a day of revelation and separation. Today, the curtain will be pulled back and American patriots will learn by their votes which Republican senators and congressmen have the courage to fight for our America. Today, by their votes, Americans will learn which Republican congressmen and senators love their bourbon, love their cigars, love their prestige, love their personal power, love their special interest group money more than they love America.

Because today, Republican senators and congressmen have a simple choice. Today, Republican senators and congressmen will either vote to turn America into a godless, amoral, dictatorial, oppressed and socialist nation on the decline or they will join us or they will fight and vote against voter fraud and election theft and vote for keeping America great.
-- Mo Brooks, first speaker at the Jan 6th rally

That sure doesn't sound like someone opposing "Stop the Steal" (eyeroll) to me. That sounds like someone saying they had to oppose the lawful election, or you were a godless, amoral, dictatorial person. Oh, then he said it was Antifa.

Mike Pence said, in public, that Biden's actions on Keystone made us more dependent on Russian oil.

Which is False, because the pipeline was never finished.

Also the US gets like 4% of its oil from Russia and that number from 2021 is decreasing in 2022.

Also, wasn't that pipeline also meant to go from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico to ship the oil out of the US meaning we weren't going to get it anyways? While also being duty free so that we weren't even collecting tax revenue from it or jobs as it was only meant to employ 35 people when completed?

Yep, so we get no oil, we get no jobs, we get no tax revenue and all we really get is the risk of leaks, the mess they create, and the long and short term costs associated with cleaning it up and dealing with it.

Why the hell would we want that pipeline to begin with? Obama was a dumbass for even approving it, let alone with all the other stuff that was getting done forcing it to places it shouldn't have gone though.

So, yet another grim milestone here. Obviously these numbers are all undercounts, but worldometers just today shows the US passing one million deaths from COVID.

By spectacular coincidence, today marks the two-year anniversary of a certain atrociously bad take post made ITT:

Just felt like I had to post this here

"DeMs UsInG ThE CoRoNaViRuS to AttAcK TrUmP iS SiLly " ( Even tho thats all dems are talking about right now )

Heres some facts for you :

    President Trump :
    COVID-19 Coronavirus
US cases to date : 15,219
US deaths to date : 203
    Panic level : Mass hysteria

    President Obama
    H1N1
US cases peak at time : 60.8 MILLION
US deaths peak at time : 12,469
    Panic level : 0 panic/Nobody cares

Logic? Good ole left-wing controlled media never fails.
It was pointed out at the time that... well, see yourself:
