Don't worry, he'll sit for a deposition and claim he can't read anything in front of him without his glasses. Or with his glasses. What does he know, he's just a covfefe boy.

Remember Rick Scott's big 11 point proposal and tax plan? Well, it's been looked into a bit and...oh boy is it not great for Republicans - https://itep.org/state-by-state-esti...game-proposal/

Look at the map. Because he wants to raise taxes on working people, that results in an across the board hike everywhere, with the worst hit states largely being Republican run states in the South. Florida (his home state) would see an increase hit 40-45% of its residents, as would Kentucky, West Virginia, Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, and others. Mississippi would se an increase hit 50% of its residents.

And who's paying that? Overwhelmingly, poor and working class folk. The poorest 20% of America would bear 34% of the tax, the second poorest 20% would bear 45% of it, and from there numbers drop DRAMATICALLY to the middle 20% bearing 16% of the tax and the richest 5% bearing a whopping 0%.

Republicans hate poor and working class people and want to tax them to death, while allowing the rich to keep all their money and not pair their fair share.

If it doesn't get thrown out, Trump will definitely lose this lawsuit. Because when it goes to discovery, and the HRC legal team drops the Republican led Senate Intel Committee report and the Mueller Report on them, and they have no evidence of Russian collusion with the HRC campaign, Trump will be paying legal fees for everyone.

I suspect not, sadly. If Trump is claiming anything close to slander or libel, he basically needs to prove Clinton knowingly lied. I'm not sure he needs to provide much evidence of his own actions.

    *ahem*

    But.

All Clinton needs to do is bring the Mueller report in and slap it on the desk. Then, cue up a slideshow of every single paper in the free world and some in Russia about the Trump Tower meeting. Trump cannot prove Clinton lied. Even if he could, which he can't, but even if he could, proving there was malice is impossible because a Russian agent taking Russian help running for office is illegal, and presenting evidence of a crime is not malice, it's law enforcement. And if even if, somehow, all that got past the threshhold for a judgement, Clinton can immediately bring up everything Trump said (such as her having a stroke) and the same standard applies.

I'm sure cubby will sound off soon enough. @postman1782 said some good stuff too. I wonde if this is a situation where Trump can be slapped with penalties for such a frivolous lawsuit?

So, which thread is best to talk about election fraud?

    1) CPAC went on YouTube, as I'm sure many political get-togethers do.

And YouTube took a bunch of it down, because Team Trump keeps lying about election fraud.

    2) UPDATE: He was convicted.

In 2019, Fortenberry denied to FBI agents that he received any funds from a foreign national or through so-called conduit contributions, where the money was distributed to straw donors.

Fortenberry, who was unaware agents had recorded his call with Ayoub, said it would be “horrifying” if the doctor had made such a claim about the source of the funds.
    Oops.

Fortenberry was found guilty on three charges, two for lying to the FBI and one for having a name that sounds like a Gatorade flavor. Each carries a sentence of up to five years. It should be noted that Fortenberry's crack legal defense team, so called because you'd have to be on crack to try

Do you think he would put his reputation on the line for $30,000 when he had $1.5 million? That’s not possible.
in a court of law, are already planning an appeal which should coincide nicely with his re-election campaign.

    3) We have text messages that show Ginni Thomas asked the White House to investigate election fraud. Her SCOTUS judge husband did not comment, saying instead "nobody's seen me since Friday and SCOTUS refused to give any updates on my health".

    4) The arrest of Charlotte County Airport Authority Commissioner James Walker Herston was announced today by the Florida AG. Big surprise, Herston is a Republican and the Vice Chair of Distric 5, in which he's registered to vote but does not live. He falsified forms to do this.

And, just in case you haven't been paying attention, he's already been charged with perjury. Twice.

So the answer to the question is "this thread" because apparently, not only is election fraud the only thing Team Trump talks about (see stories from the last few days) but also their favorite passtime.

Navarro says in his new book he tried to delay the Jan 6th vote certification and is immediately subpoena'd by the House for being a dumbass.

Ah, but you missed the best part:

Patty Pansing Brooks, a former legislator who is seeking the Democratic nomination for the congressional seat, thanked the jury and offered “thoughts and prayers” for Fortenberry and his family.

The RNC needs to be careful about that. Yes, he's running. But which would the RNC rather have: someone with less experience but still has populism ideas; or someone who makes it to June 28 when he's yanked from the campaign trail and thrown in jail?

Yes, I realize he could appeal...and get yanked out later.

The RNC needs to primary this guy and win. Remember, he didn't just lie to the FBI, he also falsified forms. You'd think it would be easy to run against and beat a convicted felon.

I'm thinking Energy Drink really. "Fort" being short for "Fortitude" or "Fort Leavenworth" (okay, technically that's in Kansas and not Nebraska...but I needed a prison with "Fort" in the name...so I'm taking some creative liberties.)

So Trump has a rally in Georgia I guess? In theory it's happening right now.

When Donald Trump recruited David Perdue to run for governor of Georgia, Mr. Trump’s allies boasted that his endorsement alone would shoot Mr. Perdue ahead of the incumbent Republican governor, Brian Kemp. Georgia Republicans braced for an epic clash, fueled by the former president’s personal vendetta against Mr. Kemp, that would divide the party.

But two months out from the Republican primary election, Mr. Perdue’s campaign has been more underwhelming than epic. Early polls have steadily shown Mr. Perdue, a former senator, trailing Mr. Kemp by about 10 percentage points. The governor has the backing of many of the state’s big donors and remains far ahead of Mr. Perdue in fund-raising. After pursuing a deeply conservative legislative agenda, Mr. Kemp has secured support from most of the top state leaders and lawmakers, even those who have, until now, aligned with Mr. Trump.

Mr. Perdue’s sputtering start may hint at a deeper flaw in Mr. Trump’s plan to punish the governor for refusing to work to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results: Mr. Trump’s grievances may now largely be his alone. While polls show many G.O.P. voters believe lies about fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election, there is little evidence that Republicans remain as fixated on the election as Mr. Trump. The challenge for Mr. Perdue, as well as for other candidates backed by Mr. Trump, is to make a case that goes beyond exacting revenge for 2020.
The problem with Trump's strategy, is he is Trump and only Trump matters to Trump. The people with Georgia disagree. Governor Kemp has a solid track record and Perdue is a single-issue candidate that the majority of Georgia demonstrably disagrees with.

“I think they’ve turned the page on the election,” said State Senator Clint Dixon, a Republican representing the Atlanta suburbs. “And folks that may have been upset about that, still, they see that Governor Kemp is a proven conservative leader that we need.”

Of Mr. Trump’s rally, he added: “I don’t think it does much. And the polls are showing it.”

In early March, a Fox News poll of Georgia Republican primary voters showed Mr. Kemp ahead of Mr. Perdue by 11 percentage points.

Mr. Kemp has amassed a war chest of more than $12.7 million, compared with the $1.1 million Mr. Perdue has raised since entering the race in December. The Republican Governors Association has also cut more than $1 million in ads supporting Mr. Kemp — the first time the organization has taken sides in a primary race. (Since December, Ms. Abrams has been raising more than both men, bringing in $9.3 million by January.)
So take a look at that million for Perdue and ask "Why hasn't Trump, who has a lot of money, given Perdue more than that? He's clearly motivated, he held a rally this very day, and it could be the donation money he's raised".

The answer might surprise you...but only if you're new to these forums. Perdue is not getting money from Trump because Perdue is not Trump. From March 16:

Perdue is turning to Trump for help, scheduling a Wednesday appearance with the former president at his Mar-a-Lago resort, where contributors will have to give $3,000 to attend. A picture with Trump means spending $24,200.

That's ahead of a campaign-style Trump rally in northeast Georgia this month [EDITOR: today] that will feature Perdue and former football player Herschel Walker, the lead Republican vying for one of the state's U.S. Senate seats.
Perdue is apparently worth $30 million. I don't know how much he contributed to himself. But I did find more on that Trump fund raiser. https://www.donaldjtrump.com/news/news-n8akwf35ga0 seems to go to Trump's remarks. Let's try it!

    (five seconds pass)

    Uh...hold on.

    (ten seconds pass)

It's 404'd. The remarks, made March 16, are already down. Newsmax had something but nothing about number of attendees or pictures. And about 45 seconds of dialogue from Trump. Did I mention attending was $3,000? And it was at Mar-a-Lago?

After some digging, I found this tweet from...I dunno, but I'm done looking. Perdue had $1 million not counting the fund-raiser, so I guess Trump pitched in $100,000 give or take rounding. Now, hold on, this is why you bring in talented, math professionals like me. Stand back, I'm about to science!

    (deep breath)

    $100,000/$3,000 = 33.33333 (repeating of course) attendees.

"Doesn't that tweet say the goal was $600,000?"

It does, yes, good catch, and it's independantly confirmed. There is no mention of how much Trump actually raised, but, it's clear he either didn't make his goal, kept most of the money for himself, or because this is Trump most likely both. That was almost 2 weeks ago. Since then, best of my Googling, Trump has not said Perdue's name even once in public. Oh, until the rally, I should say. He's due to take the stage in (checks watch) 8 minutes ago and isn't there yet.

"Was Trump paid to be at the rally?"

Based purely on his history and articles I've cited, I believe the answer is "yes" from a position of strength. If you can prove otherwise, go ahead.

    "How many people attended?"

I can't find a number or any pictures. Sorry.

    "Did Perdue mention voter fraud?"

Yes, he said Kemp was hiding it.

EDIT: Trump is 20 minutes late. C-SPAN is showing it and has a decent view of the crowd. As per usual, there is a stadium seat setup behind the podium that's full, well mostly full I guess, and a small surrounding area that C-SPAN is showing because C-SPAN doesn't fuck around with Trump's ego, they just show objectively what people say. Not counting journalists or event staff, I estimate 300-500 attendees and 50-100 flags. There's enough space between the front crowd, the people in front of the podium that is, for me to easily see identifying marks. They're not packed in, at all. Here, I'll show you:

Kemp hiding election fraud is pretty believable, just not in Trump's election,Kemp had the hard drives containing the records of his own election wiped and then repeatedly degaussed despite a court order saying to preserve them.
