It's 40 minutes past tee-time and Trump isn't on stage yet. The sun sets in 15 minutes. Interpret that metaphor how you will.
EDIT: The crowd size is apparently
so the C-SPAN feed isn't showing the crowd at all. My bad. But still small, apparently. It’s almost time for Trump to speak here in Georgia and there’s probably no more than 5,000 people here, the smallest Trump rally I’ve ever covered here. Way less than the Perry rally in 2021 (closer to 10k) and nowhere close to 2020’s 20-30k+
EDIT EDIT: It's sunset and Trump hasn't shown. The music is, I swear I'm not making this up, Memories from Cats.
EDIT EDIT EDIT: Um...are you supposed to display flags in the dark? I seem to remember that being a no-no.
EDIT^4: Come back from the kettle on the stove, I hear speaking. Turns out, not Trump. Patton.

UPDATE UPDATE: Frankenberry resigns from congress.
Aww, how cute. He thinks he's the victim here. The resignation marks the end of Fortenberry's nearly two decades in Congress, and comes after both party leaders in the House called on him to step down.
“This appeal starts immediately,” Fortenberry told reporters after the verdict on Thursday, citing “concerns about the fairness of the process.”
Fortenberry told his House colleagues in a letter that his resignation is effective March 31.
"Due to the difficulties of my current circumstances, I can no longer effectively serve," he wrote.
The letter includes a poem from Mother Teresa, which reads in part, "People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway."
Using a quote as a Conservative from someone that thought suffering was good is a bit on the nose.
I love this tweet.
Remaining crowd. Trump was 75 minutes late.Trump drops F-bomb while mocking climate change, remaining crowd goes wild.

In the continued saga of, "Conservatives seem unable to differentiate between fiction and reality, and are also pervasive and very bad liars", we have Rep. Madison Cawthorn, claiming that yes, Washington D.C. really is like how it's portrayed in House of Cards!
These septuagenarians are just holding wild sex parties and inviting Cawthorn to attend, and doing lines of coke left and right!
I mean, obviously we know this is a lie since Cawthorn is very unpopular in D.C. and I highly doubt that even members of his own party would invite him to a sex party.
Hell, if he's not willing to name names, and identify locations and times where this went down, nobody should take him seriously.
Make accusations that would fall under slander or libel, if untrue. If you won't, you're covering your ass because you're lying, Cawthorn. And if you can, well, we'll either uncover some seedy shit, or you'll get sued into oblivion for defamation. And either's a win.
I'm going to assume that it's a riff on the Trump "DRAIN THE SWAMP!" bark. That "We're the OUTSIDERS who are going to CLEAN UP the DIRTY POLITICS in WASHINGTON!"
Now, in past experience everyone yelling "drain the swamp!" have been the swampiest people there are... so take that as you will with Cawthorn here.

Apparently Rick Scott can't even get Fox News to buy his bullshit "11 point plan".
This is why you don't build your party on the backs of anti-intellectual dumbasses that worship at the alter of their wealthy patrons.
"Reality is a Democrat talking point!"

This is why these fuckers stick with their "culture war" issues and not any actual policy. Because if they did have to describe what their policies would actually do to the quality of life of those who vote for them...well...getting fewer votes would be the best case scenario for them.
