Y'all wanna see Madison Cawthorn wearing women's lingerie? It's not super gross, but yeah, it's still kinda gross.

    https://www.politico.com/news/2022/0...hotos-00027286

I don't know man, he rocks those earrings and that bra, it's a good look for him.

But you know, this is the same guy telling mothers to raise their boys to be "monsters".

I think that we have bred a generation of soft men and that generation has created a lot of problems in our society and our culture,” he said in March 2021 on a podcast “designed to reclaim and restore masculinity in a society that is ever more dismissive of what it means to be a man.”
Oh all the delicious irony in this statement is just delectable.

MADISON CAWTHORN IN DRAG Y'ALL (not really but we'll roll with it)

Oh, this calls for this old song. This should be played by someone at each of his rallies.

Panel asks court to force Meadows to cooperate in the murderous insurrection investigation.

    "Don't they need probable cause?"

Yes, it's his texts that even FOX News has published by now.

As a reminder, Meadows has refused to testify on the grounds that he doesn't want to. No, really, that's all he's got. He does not have Executive Privilege.

The Select Committee’s filing today urges the Court to reject Mark Meadows’s baseless claims and put an end to his obstruction of our investigation. Mr. Meadows is hiding behind broad claims of executive privilege even though much of the information we’re seeking couldn’t possibly be covered by privilege and courts have rejected similar claims because the committee’s interest in getting to the truth is so compelling

Republicans are at it again. This time a North Carolina party official demanded access to voting equipment - which nobody was allowed - while threatening to have the county election director fired or her pay cut if she didn't.

He claimed that there was a "chip" in the machines that flipped Trump votes, because I guess more than 1.5 years post-election some Republicans just can't get over the fact that their candidate lost.

He was asking for her to break the law, by the way. Granting him access would have been illegal.

Can we just start tossing these fashies in prison and treating Republican party officials as a de-facto risk to our democracy and the security of our elections, already?

Without clicking that link or its mirrors, I'm just going to assume he made this claim despite presenting no evidence, such as witnesses or schematics.

    (reads article)

    Yup. Also, this:

Exactly how Senter planned to retaliate against Huff remains unclear. He claimed to have the backing of Surry County commissioners, all five of whom are Republican, to take action against her. But neither Senter nor the commission has any official power over her job, which rests with the state election board. The state board has three Democratic members and two Republican members.
As you already pointed out, asking someone to break the law should just flat-out fail. Worst case scenario, they look, find no chip, and leave. Yes, that's worst because it means they give in to this insanity. Best case, the state board and any judges that are pulled into this bullshit say "No, fuck off".

EDIT: And I'm sure I've said this before, but since it keeps coming up it bears repeating. When a claim like this is made with no evidence of any kind, and that claim and nothing else is used to justify an intrusive action (say, opening up and likely breaking voting machines) it should also be used the other way around. I think Senter has evidence in his house about the Russians he's been working with to overthrow the US government. I think we should be allowed to toss his house, comb his bank records, and read his phone records/texts/emails to find it. And I think he should be paid half if he refuses.

He misspoke and used the wrong word?! I hear that's proof of a cognitive decline when Biden, a guy with an actual stutter, does it. So surely that must mean Trump is in mega-decline...MAGA-decline?

Yes. And that's an entirely different problem.

Imagine if my students heard me mispronounce Chebyshev, as in "Chebyshev's Theorem". Like...nothing happens.

Imagine if my students heard me mispronounce divide.

Trump said he was making Truth Central a big FUCK Truth Social a big deal. It was going to take down Big Tech. Big things were happening. They just had a merger. He'd been talking it up for over a year. Now, he can't even remember the name. Worse, he can't remember the name when it's written in giant-ass letters and in front of him on the telepromptor.

There is no more damaging press Trump could have given his own social media platform, then not remembering what it was. While advertising it. That's just proof of how little you actually matter -- which, considering you're trying to drum up business, is just "find a third foot and a third bullet" level of suckage.

I mean, the only thing I can think of that's more "I don't care that you exist" would be forgetting the name of your own son.

There were Republican debates tonight for the governor's race in Georgia. Kemp and Perdue Throwdown 2022, baby!

Perdue kicked it of with a bang -

“First off, let me be very clear tonight,” Perdue began his opening statement, “the election in 2020 was rigged and stolen.”
Just impressive the hold Trump still has on the party. This debate audience was primarily just one man, for Perdue.

He went on to blame rising gas prices, inflation, illegal immigration and “the brink of war” on Kemp because the governor allowed “radical Democrats to steal our election.”
Damn so...it's not Biden's fault?! This is great news!

Granted those of us with brains are still scratching our heads because Georgia alone wasn't enough to flip the results (Biden still having 290 votes without Georgia), but it doesn't seem like math is a strong suit for this crows. Or really using their brains at all.

Kemp repeated three times that he wants to make sure “Stacey Abrams is never your governor or your next president” and that he’s the only candidate to have already beaten her, referring to his 2018 victory.
Kemp, on the other hand seems to feel pretty good about his position so far and is actually looking towards the actual election with the debate.

    The interesting exchange between then:

“Weak leaders take credit when things go well, and blame someone else when it doesn’t,” Perdue said.

Kemp’s response: “Weak leaders blame everybody else for their own loss instead of themselves.”
Hilariously, they're both correct in their descriptions. Both of which are also, hilariously, accurate descriptions for Trump's behavior.

I maintain my thesis: Republicans have lost the ability to be intentionally funny. But unintentionally, they're god-damned hilarious.

So just so everyone knows that Fox and pretty much all big media is just as bad as Fox News because it was just revealed on the Masked Singer that they had fucking Rudy Giuliani as one of the contestants. When it revealed Ken Jeong walked off in disgust while Jenny McCarthy(of course she would), Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger(no clue who this person is) were dancing along laughing as Giuliani gleefully sings "Bad to the Bone". Good on Ken Jeong if this was his real reaction and hopefully he tells Fox to suck his dick and leave the show. Fuck Fox for trying to normalize that fucking traitor. He is not some kooky celebrity, he helped stage an insurrection on the capital he should be in jail. Most major media is just as bad with all the supposed "liberal" news shows keep bringing on Republican mouth pieces to spew their crap and they love to show Trump for the ratings.

That show is an absolute fucking dumpster fire and the people running it use it to platform the worst fucking people. And only ever conservatives. Beyond that Queen Anti-Vaxxer's a fucking judge, they've had Caitlyn Jenner (awful because A> she killed a dude through negligence and got away with it and B> she's endorsed SO many terrible political figures), Honey Boo Boo and Mama June, Sarah Palin, and now, Giuliani (and that info got leaked during shooting; it was covered a month and a half back).

That shit's too narrow for it to be accidental.

Didn't this shit get "leaked" during the taping a few months ago or some shit? Damn man, they milked this shit for two rounds of free media coverage. Their ratings must be bangin for that episode, even better than when they had Sara Palin as the "guest".

Trump's work week starts off poorly. The judge in the civil case is weighing if Trump should be held in contempt for blatantly ignoring subpoenas.

"Surely those subpoenas were issued in bad faith and unConstitutional!"

The judge does not believe that.

In the final analysis, a State Attorney General commences investigating a business entity, uncovers copious evidence of possible financial fraud, and wants to question, under oath, several of the entities’ principals, including its namesake. She has the clear right to do so
The NY AG asked for Trump, you know, the guy who owns and runs Trump Org, to hand over their records. Trump refused. Or more accurately, Trump's lawyers claimed they looked around really hard but didn't find any records of the business he owns and runs. Oh, and then called this a publicity stunt.

Dear defendants: this is how you get no-knock raided.

From the sounds of things, NY is asking for $10,000 a day of refusal, plus additional costs caused by the delay. I believe this is a warning shot. If Trump refuses to turn over the records that any competent CEO would have, and also refuses to pay those contempt charges (if applied), then these two factors are themselves evidence for the case itself.

I'll let @cubby call the shots, but I believe if Trump refuses to comply with the legally and Constitutional subpoena, one or more of three things will happen.

One, his various homes get raided. Anything in NYState is fair game.

Two, the penalties rise. After a demonstrated time period of noncompliance, $10,000 a day gets an extra zero or Trump has to testify why he's not complying...or just flat-out jailed. These might be civil charges, but refusing to comply with a legal warrant/subpoena is still a bad idea.

Three, a directed verdict. In an Alex Jones kind of way, if NYState can provide compelling evidence and Trump's only defense is "WITCH HUNT!" then the judge might simply shrug and say "well I'm siding with the side taking this seriously" and just rule in the AG's favor. This would, of course, be crippling for Trump. By Trump's own admission, he's been under audit since 2001. Just randomly making up numbers here to get an idea of context, but if Trump undervalued his properties by $100 million to avoid paying taxes each year, NYState could very realistically claim they're due 10% of that gap, or $220 million. And I'm fairly sure that's lowballing it.

Fails on every metric. While they did, supposedly, upgraded their server space and clear their waitlist, that's two million users at most. Twitter has one hundred times that on a daily basis.

Pipe dream, I know, but I'd love to see them raid Mar-A-Fucko. Don screams at the secret service detail to stop them. One of them replies, semi-quoting a hysterically funny movie...Line is at 1:30 into the clip.
