I mean, everyone knows he's broke. He even brags about being the king of debt. So it must be worse than that.

However, also at this point, there is the risk that he just flat-out lied on federal forms. Oh, I don't mean he cheated on his taxes -- he probably did, that's not the point.

Do a Google search for "TEN BILLION DOLLARS!" including the quotes, the all-caps and exclamation point. What do you see?

An entire page of Trump filling that out, on the required disclosure forms, to run for office.

Yeah. He lied on a federal form. Bit late to do anything like, say, block him from the 2016 ticket. But if you lie on a federal form, you could be looking at jail time.

Eh, I'm less convinced of that, at least in his returns.

Don't get me wrong, I know he's got tons of Russian money because that's apparently the only countries banking system that would touch him as at least US banks basically wouldn't even allow him in the building for a meeting about a loan (sauce: A relative works at fairly large bank handling major loans like this and has all kinds of scuttlebutt about it). But I don't think that's what he's worried about. I think he's more worried they'll show that he has far less money than he claims, holds far more debt than he'll admit to, and that it will simply add to the mountain of evidence that he's had his companies and he himself has consistently overestimated the values of properties when it comes to trying to get loans etc. while simultaneously consistently undervaluing his properties for tax-related purposes.

But mostly, I think he just desperately doesn't want his actual wealth/net worth to come out since it would be a lot less impressive than he keeps saying it is.

I remember a documentary they had on Hulu, I think it was called "Active Measures" and was about Putin's raise to power as well as Trumps life and how their paths crossed and been crossed over the years. It was made near the beginning of his term so has none of the recent stuff and was all about Trump and Putin's past actions. Still worth the watch.
