Trump, threatening to jail reporters for not revealing their sources while implying that the reporters will be raped in prison.

To which the audience responds with laughter.

Because Trump think that having a journalist be raped in prison is a good way to get them to reveal sources.

Reminder: Donald Trump is a fuckin monster, and so are his supporters. Absolute amoral, barely-human monsters.

What did he say about people who refuse to comply with subpoenas? Because I think Trump has refused to comply with subpoenas. It should be the same, thing, right?

Something, something, thee. Something, something, me. I believe.

Trump is popping off on Truth about voting frauds everywhere. Well, only in counties with majority or almost majority people of color. Ranting about Detroit and Maricopa.

We'll see in the next few days whether or not the AZ legislature just declares that there was fraud and just declares the GOP candidates winners. We already know there's no proof, just like there wasn't last time, so the question is do they skip the point where they lose every trial and go straight to dictatorship.

Well, I think if they win, I should get all the credit.
Donald Trump on if the Republicans win the 2022 midterms.

If they lose, I should not be blamed at all
Also Donald Trump on if the Republicans lose the 2022 midterms.

To be fair, there are scenarios in which a statement similar to this makes sense. If your team is down 5-0 and your best batter gets a grand slam, that batter could make a similar claim.

Trump, of course, cannot. He's done little but make the election about him and continue to remind people that the Republican Party is visibly against democracy. I've posted multiple articles about rallies that GOP members bailed on despite Trump being there.

Trump has warned DeSantis not to run in 24 as it would 'hurt the party '

Good luck with that. DeSantis won last night, Trump lost last night.

    1) Florida is no longer a swing state. It is now solidly GOP. Trump didn't have any rallies in Florida, Trump has his ass raided in Florida.

    2) Raffensperger won.

    3) Whitmer won.

    4) Evers won.

    5) Trump's endorsed candiates to date have lost more than they won.

I stand by everything I said about Trump vs. DeSantis, but, what happened last night is not going to scare DeSantis away. What happened last night will encourage DeSantis.

I never understood the whole Florida being a "swing" state thing aside from Obama they usually go red, Democrats should have been pouring resources into AZ and TX instead. Maybe now we can stop making decisions as to not to upset that magical Cuban vote.

The most damaging thing is that Trump won't see DeSantis as a VP candidate. And I believe that DeSantis would refuse such a position anyway.
    Let the vitriol begin.

To add to this dynamic, Kevin McCarthy is about to be fighting tooth and nail against members of his own party attempting to ram through their extremist agenda. This will be seen as a divide between Trump and his sycophants and DeSantis and his establishment. Wouldn’t surprise me if the GOP completely fractured in the next two years.

This is on the assumption that "establishment" Republicans wouldn't be perfectly happy going along with whatever extremist positions the lunatics in their party want to see... just so long as it keeps them with enough votes to pass their typical dogshit.

The Republican party is mostly divided as well. We say this during the start of Trump when Republicans controlled all 3 branches but could get nothing done outside of a tax cut for the rich because they couldn't agree on anything to actually do.

its just that they fight a lot more behind closed doors outside of the public/media eye compared to the Democrats, so they appear more unified.

Trump is 'livid' and 'screaming' his head off after disappointing midterm elections for the GOP, an advisor said

Former President Donald Trump "is livid" and "screaming at everyone" after many Republican candidates backed by him underperformed in Tuesday's midterm elections, an advisor to Trump told CNN.

Trump had endorsed more than 330 GOP candidates running for both state and federal office in this election cycle, but a much-anticipated "red wave" of Republican victories never came in the fight for control of Congress.

"Candidates matter," the Trump advisor, who was not named, told CNN on Wednesday, adding, "They were all bad candidates."

Trump is widely expected to launch a 2024 presidential run next week after he once again teased another bid for the White House earlier this week. At an Ohio campaign event on Monday, Trump said he has a "big announcement" planned for November 15 at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Despite embarrassing GOP losses by Trump's hand-picked candidates, he will still probably announce his 2024 intentions because "it's too humiliating to delay," the Trump advisor told CNN, noting that there were many unknowns at this point.

Trump has already lashed out at possible challengers that could against him, chief among them newly reelected Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis — whom Trump endorsed when he first ran for office — was one of the few GOP successes on election night, winning another term in Florida by historic margins on a night when Trump's endorsed candidates flopped.

A conservative political commentator and ex-GOP strategist suggested Trump has zero chance of winning the 2024 presidential election — should he run — based on the early results of the 2022 midterm elections.

"How could you look at these results tonight and conclude Trump has any chance of winning a national election in 2024?" Scott Jennings, a former advisor to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, said in an early Wednesday tweet.

So this is what, the third election that voters have largely rejected Trump and his candidates? Republicans and his candidates largely lost 2018, 2020, and now 2022. I mean...they're mostly dangerous as fuck and all but at the same time like...I'm fine if they keep picking a loser?
