All I'm left with moderately expired popcorn. Still perfectly eatable and fine, just maybe a bit dry.

Well it is appropriate. Trump is way past his expiration date as anybody relevant.

And it's official, the paperwork is filed.

Trying to find the paperwork itself as I'm assuming he's running as a Republican but am sorta hoping he ends up running third party to split the vote.

I'm betting the reason for filing this stupidly early is to try and establish himself as "the candidate" well in advance of any others in people's heads, to try and give himself an easier time when the primaries finally roll around. I'm also betting he doesn't realize that filing your plan to run for President gives you precisely zero legal protections from lawsuits or criminal charges.

    And filing acquired.

    He's running as a Republican.

Maybe Trump can be the first Presidential candidate to go to jail while running for office. Would be a nice end to his political legacy.

Never thought I'd say I'm happy to see Trump running again, but after the GOP throwing him under the bus and him starting to take potshots to undermine DeSantis, I'm ready for it.

Dunno. But make a meme out of the answer when you find it out.

Trump actually running again? Huh, thought he wouldn't. Assumed he would only ever threaten to run, and cash out. Guess he misses being pampered by useless yes-men.

I wonder if he's hoping this might help him dodge his many legal troubles?

I figured he would after all this.

He hopes it will help with his legal troubles and if he can drag them out till 2024 and actually managed to win it would from the federal level stuff at least while he feels betrayed by the GOP for not being loyal to him and now they are insulting him. He wants to win or at least burn them down with him.

Or he could potentially do this and then negotiate that he backs down before the actual election in return for them paying his legal bills and trying to get the DOJ off his back if they managed to get any influence on the matters or potentially even helping him run if shit hits the fan.
Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add
    "mmo-champion.com##li.postbitignored"
to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

    Not quite.

The bottom of the barrel timeline would be Trump currently announcing his run for a third term.

TheHill literally leads with how damaged Trump is, before talking about what he said. Probably because they know his campaign promises are just useless.

Trump, who continues to spread baseless lies about his 2020 defeat, began an unprecedented comeback bid by declaring his 2024 campaign for president at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Tuesday night.

Trump — the first president in U.S. history to be impeached twice, most recently for incitement of insurrection — changed American politics with his unconventional governing style and undeniable grip on the GOP. But his third presidential run comes as Republicans are reevaluating his role as the face of the party following midterm failures and ongoing controversies.

The former president is currently embroiled in numerous criminal investigations, including separate Justice Department inquiries into his handling of classified materials found at Mar-a-Lago and his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Atlanta-area prosecutors are also conducting a criminal investigation into Trump's attempts to pressure Georgia officials to meddle in the election. In New York, longtime Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg took the witness stand in a criminal tax fraud trial against the former president's company hours before he was set to make his 2024 announcement.
Trump, whose campaign is sponsored by Samsonite due to all the baggage he's carrying, is running on the promise to end election fraud as of liike four minutes into his campaign. Oh, and he claimed that everything he was doing was working great and he was just about to MAGA when Biden won.

So, in other words, yet more lies, yet more conspiracies, yet more less than nothing.

Ah, but that's part of the appeal. "He's just as crazy and feckless as we are. A true hero of the common man!"

Fantastic news! Glad to hear it.

No, I'd never vote for someone as inept and corrupt as he is, but he just ensured a Democratic president for AT LEAST the next 6 years.

Y'all, /r/conservative has a thread on it and the knives are really out, this is delightful. Don't go shitposting or brigading or anything, but it's worth a look to see just how much that place has suddenly turned on Trump and how the [MAGA] tags and the like have all but disappeared.

They're absolutely livid and rightfully blame Trump and his brand of candidate for costing them their "Red Wave". At best they're looking to eke out a slim majority in the House, which is still a significant win, but otherwise they were fairly wiped out across the board. The only real victories they're rallying around are very strong performances in Florida with DeSantis (boy DeSaintis just rolls off the tongue, eh? So does DeSatan, but whatever, that one honestly sucks in comparison.) and Florida. They have some other great pickups in states like NY and CA in the House, but overall the predicted Republican wave did not appear and it's basically Trump's fault. (And yes, the Republican party for allying him, but they're nowhere near that level of self awareness there. Baby steps.)
