Donald Trump NFT Collection Sells Out, Price Surges

    Jokes on us, suckers!! <snark>

So yea, we have come to this.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s non-fungible token (NFT) digital trading card collection sold out early Friday, the day after its initial release.

According to data from OpenSea, at time of writing, the collection’s trading volume is 900 ETH, or about $1.08 million. Its floor price is about 0.19 ETH, or about $230 – more than double the original price of $99.

Some tokens are selling for much higher prices. The one-of-ones, the rarest of the NFTs, which comprise 2.4% of the 45,000 unit collection (roughly 1,000), are selling for as much as 6 ETH at the time of writing. One of these rare trading cards, of the 45th president standing in front of the Statue of Liberty holding a torch, is currently listed at 20 ETH, or about $24,000.

According to data from Dune Analytics, nearly 13,000 users minted 3.5 tokens upon the release of the collection. Additionally, 115 customers purchased 45 NFTs, which is the minimum number of tokens that guarantees a ticket to a dinner with Trump; 17 people purchased 100 NFTs, which, according to the Trump Trading Card site, was the maximum quantity allowed to mint. However, additional metrics from Dune show that other wallets held far more.

Currently, 1,000 NFTs, including many one-of-ones, are held in one Gnosis Safe multisignature wallet, which appears to be the wallet receiving royalty payments from the secondary sales of the NFTs.
So they sold out and above the $99 price tag. The grift is real.

So only 45K units, not many or a lot depends on how you see it. Getting 45k, not even people of the Trump cult is not hard to get.

Doesn't say here but possibility of people who even more stupidly than just bought them, purchased as an investment. Umm, I would think these people are stupid as an investment, but go back to my first statement of the Trump cult trying to buy on the 2nd hand market.

It was also too much for Baked Alaska, who said he is pissed because he is going to prison for a grifter.

I wouldn't trust them "selling out" as it was shown the last time they did something like this was his wife doing her own NFT and when they found out who bought them, it was her to make it look like there was demand.

It wouldn't surprise me if it shows that he used his SuperPAC to buy them all as something to deal with his campaign in some way.

Yeah, the plot twist is that he bought all of them using PAC money and anonymous accounts because they're only going to appreciate in value and he needs to make sure he gets in on that.

Don't they do the same with books, so they can get them on 'best seller's' lists?

Democrats really fucked up big last election. They smeared and defeated Trump so badly that the two years republicans have to transfer Trump supporters to DeSantis will be easy and successful.

DeSantis will be far more formidable and dangerous than Trump ever was.

Having said that, the new makeup of the House will definitely make up for that. The current republican majority in the House will be a lot of rope for republicans to hang themselves with, and with no prospect of them getting any benefit from it.

Yep, and then give them away at functions to make it so it looks official with election stuff.

Trump did a lot of that to himself because, well, it's Trump. He literally has to be the center of attention with everything. People have said that if Trump actually shut his mouth and tried to do things not for the benefit for himself, he could have done a lot more damage and been reelected to boot.

Case in point. His ego is so fragile and needs feeding so much that when people questioned him on Hurrican Dorian that it wasn't going to hit Alabama, he didn't say he was mistaken and let it go. He took a sharpie to prove that he was right and tripled down on it. Something nonsensical and idiotic but because it is Trump and he demands that reality bend to his will, he did what he did, everything else be damned even though reality doesn't work that way.

You are seeing this same thing now with Trump and DeSantis. Trump is getting so incensed by DeSantis being ahead in the polls that he is actively on the offensive right now trying to find ANYTHING to prove him right that he is more popular even though nothing will show it.

Don't forget, we have certain posters on here who, when the subject of raising the minimum wage comes up, they say that 7.25 an hour is perfectly fine because they list out a bunch of expenses like rent, food, etc. and it's all dirt cheap in their estimation. We know they don't live in reality.

On a semi related note, hoping all this inflation stuff will finally get them to raise the minimum wage, but I doubt the conservatives would vote for it.

There's theories floating around that it was a money laundering scheme, but I'm skeptical considering $450k isn't THAT much as far as laundering goes. It likely just was a hilarious grift that people bought into.

To be fair, that's still extremely small in Trump's overall "reported" net worth. But we also know that Trump is effectively broke and being buried in legal fees. So $4.5m is probably a lot to him right now.

True. It remains to be seen if DeSantis can defeat Trump without alienating Trump supporters. Dealing with the Trump temper tantrums may pose a problem. Or two

Apparently Trump NFTs are being delivered to the wrong crypto wallets. And since NFTs/crypto are unregulated, there's no way for these people to get their orange man trading cards. What a shit show.

So you're saying both crypto and Trump are scams? Who knew?

Jan. 6 panel is reportedly going to vote on urging the DoJ to prosecute Trump on 3 criminal charges, including insurrection.

The Fox News line on this is that the DoJ is "Moving to block Trump from running for President" which if you led an insurrection, you obviously can't run. But they don't see it that way. They just think it's a baseless block and aren't really mentioning the insurrection part.

    1) Add Flynn to the list of Trump allies who are recoiling in horror at the trading cards.

"Whoever advised him on that, I'd fire him immediately" is the exact quote.

    2) Three of Trump's Chinese Twitter knockoff's execs flee for the hills.

In a regulatory filing released Friday morning, Digital World announced board member Rodrigo Veloso and chief financial officer Lee Jacobson sent letters of resignation to the company on December 9, while board member Luiz Philippe Braganza informed the firm of his departure on November 28.

The company did not immediately respond to Forbes' request for comment, but the filing states the resignations did not result from any disagreement with the firm on matters related to operations, policies or practices.
    3) Steve Bannon, who is still facing money laundering charges from the Wall fraud, tried to convince the judge he was the target of a bigly yuge WITCH HUNT!

It doesn't seem to be working, as the judge has heard it before. Bannon got Merchan, who handled the Trump Org case.

I will not allow you in any way to bring up a selective prosecution claim, or claim this is some sort of novel prosecution
    4) Another Major Announcement:

Huge announcement: Official Homelander digital collectible cards have arrived! Celebrate our greatest hero’s life and crimefighting career by owning an authentic and non-fungible JPEG of him. Buy now for 777 VoughtCoin while you still can!
    -- Vought International

    5) Trump's 2024 run is stil in its infancy and Trump has already missed a deadline. He refused to turn over his personal finances and asked for an extension.

It's appalling that he got one, after all the shit he's pulled, but he did.

So someone pointed out that the price of wach Trump NFT and the limit of 100 per household allows each purchase to fall just short of the $10k reporting limit...suggesting this could be a $4.3M laundering scheme. I can't imagine Trump thought this out that much.

I don't know how to feel about a guy who just made 4 million dollars in a day by selling NFTs to his followers. I guess I'll settle for considering his fanboys idiots.
