To be fair, the same can largely be said of upper management as well. The amount of "IT Directors" that I have worked with that know literally nothing about the field would shock you. Or take a look at what's going on with Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast. There is no way their recent business strategies came from someone at the bottom tier of the company. That's a C-Sec level decision through and through.

Y'all remember Jenna Ellis? If you don't, she's the blonde at the lefthand side of this picture, just in front of the Kraken -
And why yes, that is from the day Rudy was leaking hair color down the side of his face.
ANYWAYS
Everyone else obviously already knows this. But it's nice to see at least some gentle consequences like a public censure following a multi-year campaign of misinformation and lies. What makes this story especially notable, however, is the fact that Ellis, as part of the legal proceedings, acknowledged that she didn’t tell the public the truth. From the NBC News report:
Last month, Ellis’ lawyer had filed a stipulation agreeing to a public censure of his client and acknowledging 10 misrepresentations in the aftermath of the 2020 election, including repeatedly claiming that the election was stolen from Trump. Ellis also acknowledged misleading comments stemming from claims she made on Fox Business about affidavits from witnesses, voter intimidation and statistics that proved a “coordinated effort” to transfer votes from Trump to Biden. According to the signed stipulation, she made similar claims on Twitter.
It’s worth pausing to appreciate the significance of such an acknowledgement.
The New York Times is reporting that it's highly likely that Trump will be indicted in New York for the Stormy Daniels hush money scheme.
Please let him get indicted. Maybe the shock of it will finally lead to that heart attack with his name on it that he has somehow evaded for years.

"If you are ever asking yourself 'Is Trump lying or is he stupid?', the answer is most likely C: All of the Above" - Seth Meyers
I said it before, I'll say it again: I like chocolate a lot.
Oh, and also, I think the three major sharks circling Trump are each waiting for the other(s) to draw blood. The FBI, Atlanta, and NYState to be more precise. Trump's legal teams are demonstrably incompetent, but if he's surrounded and beaten on all sides, not even a competent legal team could handle it.
I want to add, however, that if Trump is brough to the stand for, well, paying a whore $130,000 I do hope the questioning on the stand is intentionally phrased in such a way that Trump, who will take the Fifth, will seem like he's admitting to having paid a porn star directly for sex.
"But that's not what he's charged of, and the jury can't use the Fifth as evidence of guilt when deliberating."
Correct.
Melania can.
By the rules, when applied, you are not supposed to wish for death or figuratively "dance on the grave" of people.
I will say, there are a handful of posters on here, if we were to coincidentally meet up, have a nice dinner, and conclude this evening with a nice walk...
I'll learn to Tango if your dance card is open.
I'll try the Commala if you're game.
I'll figure out the fucking Tanana if needs be.
Damn shame ya'll banned camera's in court up there Breccia... Trump would finally get his ratings.
In all fairness, this will net him like +20 in the GOP primary. The GOP just loves their liars and guys that flaunt those liberal laws.
The prosecutors offered Mr. Trump the chance to testify next week before the grand jury that has been hearing evidence in the potential case, the people said. Such offers almost always indicate an indictment is close; it would be unusual for the district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, to notify a potential defendant without ultimately seeking charges against him.
In New York, potential defendants have the right to answer questions in the grand jury before they are indicted, but they rarely testify, and Mr. Trump is likely to decline the offer. His lawyers could also meet privately with the prosecutors in hopes of fending off criminal charges.
Any case would mark the first indictment of a former American president, and could upend the 2024 presidential race. It would also elevate Mr. Bragg to the national stage, though not without risk, and a conviction in the complex case is far from assured.
Government Affiliated Snark
Upend? Has...the NYT not paid any attention to the 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022 Republican elections, especially the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections? Or how 2024 is already shaping up?
Like...chaos is literally the name of the game. Trump running under indictment is like...expected. He's openly fucking said he would rofl. What the fuck is it gonna upend? The "DEEP STATE" is still out to get him and everything, it's just another day that ends in Y.
Oh I know, I thought you might light that. It's just such a weird thing to write for literally anyone following politics over the past decade, especially Republican presidential politics.
Like, being under state or federal indictment would arguably be a boon to his grassroots support. No better "PROOF OF THE DEEP STATE" than the "DEEP STATE" pursuing criminal charges.
Indeed, and people like DeSantis and McConnell are in a bind. They don't want the nomination to go to someone who could be dragged out of the debates in handcuffs. But they also know, as do we all, that Trump runs a cult, anyone who is not Trump is not Trump, and as long as Trump doesn't concede his voters will only vote for him. They want him off the ticket but they know they can't push him.
Oh, and they know it's their fault.
Some more than others.
Giuliani goes off about (not on) FOX News on some podcast still willing to have him.
Hmm. FOX News covering DeSantis is a violation of campaign finance law? Someone should tell that to FOX News in 2016 and 2020 when they covered Trump. Giuliani is free to bring it to court...but he's going to need a lawyer. Because he isn't one.Fox has got a lot of all of those and it's not what it used to be. You take it with a grain of salt and what they're doing now for Rick DeSantis, I think it's a violation of the campaign finance law. They might as well be doing telethons. They don't cover Trump. They don't interview Trump. Every single thing is drawn against him. Every victory he has is blunted and DeSantis is treated like he's the only governor in America. I happen to like Ron DeSantis. I happen to find what Fox is doing pathetic. You're pathetic. You're sucking up. I think you're gonna hurt him by doing that.
Ann Coulter attacks Trump.
"Surely Coulter made that up to slander Trump!"Trump said—no ellipses, this is exactly what he said—'Fentanyl is a big problem. In fact with the ISIS caliphate, a certain general said, it can only be done in three years, it probably cannot be done at all, sir. And I did it in three weeks. I went over to Iraq. Met a great general. 'Sir, I can do it in three weeks.' You heard that story,'
What on Earth? The man makes Biden look razor sharp.
He said it at CPAC. The exact quote was easy to find in the many fact-checks of Trump's speech. Hint: he didn't do it in three weeks, he didn't do it at all, and the shift from fentanyl to ISIS is as jarring as she's suggesting.
Trump is charging $99 for a book he didn't write.
Axios reveals that Trump is going to sell a book that's letters he's received from famous people over the years like Reagan, Nixon, and Kim Jong Un. There's also other letters from people like Oprah and (Bill) Clinton, so, yeah, a lot of these aren't recent letters.
While Oprah (for example) may or may not have had some nice things to say in a letter Trump says he got from her in 2000, his actions since mean a fair number of the people being quoted are going to come out and say some far more recent, far more relevant, and far more nasty things about Trump. And they'll say it in public for free.
You can buy a signed version for $400.
Michael Cohen due to testify Monday for free, rather than $130,000.
When asked to comment, Cohen basically said "Dude, it's an ongoing investigation against the worst human being-shaped sack of excrement on the planet, you think I'm going to mess that up now? Just wait three days." Cohen has worked with prosecutors, including prosecutors on this case I believe, already, and is the person who basically hand-carried the money to Trump's whore.
Naturally, Trump responded the same way, declining to comment on an ongoing investigation. Just kidding.
This is different than threatening to prosecute Clinton, during the debates, in public, to massive applause, because Trump did it.Scam, Injustice, Mockery, and Complete and Total Weaponization of Law Enforcement in order to affect a Presidential Election!
This is a political Witch-Hunt, trying to take down the leading candidate, by far, in the Republican Party while at the same time also leading all Democrats in the polls, including Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
I particularly like Trump bragging about winning the race with, basically, only him in it. He seems to have forgotten the investigation started before his 2024 announcement. And then there's that whole "running for office doesn't make you immune to prosecution from all those crimes you committed" bit.
TheHill commented:
I agree, he won't. Trump's best bet at staying out of the courthouse, and prison, is being in the White House. And considering the ongoing split in the Republican Party 100% caused by him, I'm not even sure he'll leave the race if it's 100% guaranteed he's going to lose, because he thinks that "Witch-Hunt" excuse will work.“Given all the unknowns right now, it’s far too early to know the political impact,” said Alex Conant, who worked on Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) 2016 campaign.
“That said, it’s hard to see how this is a positive for Trump,” added Conant, who now works with Firehouse Strategies. “At a minimum, it’s a distraction from the relatively well-disciplined campaign he’s run in recent weeks. It will remind a lot of voters about the chaos that they really disliked during his administration.”
“It’s only going to embolden a lot of his supporters,” one Republican strategist said. “With a lot of Trump supporters, you’ve gone through the Russia hoax, you’ve gone through so many different impeachments, so when he is targeted like that it causes a lot of people to double down.”
Trump himself told reporters at the Conservative Political Action Conference earlier this month that he “won’t even think about leaving” the 2024 race if he’s indicted.
So, saying anything good about DeSantis as people will obviously make comparisons between him and DJT is now something Donald takes offensive. Now it is about book sales. Or nonexistent book sales at that. Also complains about DeSantis inflating numbers yet he himself is a habitual inflator.

Trump Throws Fit Over DeSantis Book Sales — Accuses Him of Inflating Numbers
Former President Donald Trump threw a tantrum over reports that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has a bigger book opening with The Courage to Be Free.
Earlier this week, several news outlets including Mediaite reported that sales of the DeSantis memoir The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Survival, outpaced books from Trump, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton at the same stage in their respective political careers. In Trump’s case, the comparison was to his 2015 book Crippled America.
Many of those stories also noted that Trump has a new book coming out soon entitled Letters to Trump.
On Friday night, Trump threw a tantrum over the comparisons, and accused unnamed outlets of falsely claiming DeSantis had outsold the yet-to-be-released book, while accusing DeSantis of inflating sales figures with bulk purchases:
"Some in the Fake News are falsely stating that Ron DeSanctimonious’ book is doing as well as “LETTERS TO TRUMP,” my new book. This is FAKE NEWS in that LETTERS doesn’t even come out until April 25th. Ron has groups buying his book in order to inflate sales and, in fact, on the first day, his book was already 30% discounted. LETTERS TO TRUMP has much different pricing, and is a coffee table book. The so-called Stars corresponded with me, you’ll love it!"
He then posted a link for users to preorder the book.
Trump is at least partially correct about DeSantis, whose debut at number one on the New York Times bestsellers list is accompanied by a dagger icon.
According to the Times “Sales are defined as completed transactions by vendors and individual end users during the period on or after the official publication date of a title. Institutional, special interest, group or bulk purchases, if and when they are included, are at the discretion of The New York Times Best-Seller List Desk editors based on standards for inclusion that encompass proprietary vetting and audit protocols, corroborative reporting and other statistical determinations. When included, such bulk purchases appear with a dagger (†).”
"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.
Laws can be made to enforce order of cruelty and brutality.
Equality and Justice, that is how you have peace and a society that benefits all.
*ahem*
R.N.C. Spent Nearly $100,000 on Copies of Donald Trump Jr.’s Book
So at the minimum, Trump and the RNC have done the same thing. Maybe DeSantis too.The book, a broad attack on his critics, Democrats and the news media, was published on Nov. 5. The following week, it topped the list. But some skeptics noted that Mr. Trump had gotten a boost from his father’s Twitter feed and from the Republican National Committee, which emailed supporters the day the book came out, asking them to purchase signed copies and touting it as the book the “left doesn’t want you to read.”
Others noted a tiny dagger symbol that appeared next to the title on the list, indicating that bulk purchases of the book had boosted its ranking. (Of the 10 nonfiction hardcover titles currently on The Times’s best-seller list, “Triggered” is the only one featuring that symbol.) Some of Mr. Trump’s supporters pushed back on social media and anonymously to Fox News, saying that even without bulk sales, “Triggered” would still top the list.
“We haven’t made a large bulk purchase, but are ordering copies to keep up with demand,” Mike Reed, an R.N.C. spokesman, said two days after the fund-raising email promoting “Triggered” was sent. “Each book is sold to an individual who supports the Republican Party.”
But a financial disclosure form filed to the Federal Election Commission showed that the R.N.C. paid $94,800 to the bookseller chain Books-A-Million on Oct. 29, a week before the book went on sale. Disclosures filed by the R.N.C. indicate that the payment was for “donor mementos.”
When asked about the disclosure on Thursday, Mr. Reed confirmed that the money went toward “Triggered” orders, and added that the party committee made additional purchases in November. “The book has been hugely popular,” he said.
Asked about the discrepancy, since the committee previously said it was only ordering copies as supporters requested them, Mr. Reed said via email: “We stand by our statement.”
Once again, I ask the Trump supporters in the audience: was Trump telling the truth when he said selling the book to allied groups was bad, therefore, Trump shouldn't have done it either; or, was Trump lying when he said selling the book to allied groups was bad, and therefore, Trump is a liar?
I mean, he's a hypocrite either way. There is no redeeming answer here.
Failure to answer will be regarded as "It's okay when Trump does it" which makes the Trump supporters here also hypocrites for saying that and cowards for refusing to answer.

Trump tried to schedule two different trials (one federal, one state) with two different judges at the same time, with the intent to have both trials delayed.
I have to admit, "I'm being sued and indicted by too many people to keep up" is a bold strategy, Cotton. And one I might even be tempted to let slide...except for three things“Donald Trump has a history of leveraging his presidential-campaign activities to delay and avoid judicial proceedings,” attorney Roberta Kaplan wrote in a letter sent to both judges. “We anticipated that, should the case schedule run into 2024, Mr. Trump will begin to argue that his campaign obligations must take precedence over his participation in this case, including at trial.”
One retired state judge, who asked not to be quoted because he still oversees New York legal disputes, likened the Trump tactic to a child who separately asks parents for permission to eat more and more candy to trick them both into a better deal.
Randolph M. McLaughlin, a law professor at Pace University, called it an apt analogy—particularly because Trump eventually got caught.
“When children do this—go from one parent to another—if the parents aren’t aware of what the kid is doing, the kid can get away with things. But once the parent is aware the child is playing them against each other, the game is over,” he said.
McLaughlin stressed how rare it is for a lawyer to do what Kaplan did: contact a judge in a separate case to flag questionable behavior.
“I’ve never seen a situation like this where a lawyer who’s not before the court puts the court on notice on what the defendant is doing in the federal case. I think Engoron is going to slam with this,” McLaughlin said. “It’s highly irregular. Then again, we’ve never seen so many actions filed against one person all over the place.”
1) Trump's already used numerous delay tactics that showed nothing but contempt of court. Sometimes literally. Yet another delay tactic that's shown to have no merit should be dismissed without advantage to Team Trump.
2) The attempt to swap between "I'm being sued and indicted by too many people to keep up" to "now I'm running for office" should be too jarring to accept. Someone who is facing too many court dates to keep up with them, should have other things to worry about without starting a political run for office.
3) Intentionally angering two of the judges in the cases against you seems like a really stupid idea. Not only should this revealed shady ploy cause both judges to adhere to the strict schedule they've already established, they should respond to any other delay tactics with "If your client really has other things he'd rather do than be in a courtroom, he can always plead guilty".
Who needs pesky things like facts and reality when we've got propaganda to sell to our braindead constituents?
But they've set the bar so low that "well-disciplined" for a Trump campaign can basically just be "not spending 10 hours every day ranting on Twitter about the latest bullshit that he saw on Fox news."
