Trump does not follow any rules which aren't his own. This needs to have consequences.
You know there will be no consequences beyond a slap on the wrist sadly.

Throw him in fucking prison. No wait, we can't imprison him with other, potentially dangerous inmates because "Secret Service". Throw him in a tiny gated community for him and his Secret Service only. Allow no guests. Allow no access to the internet or phones. He can get his information from newspapers, books, and magazines. If he's nice to them, maybe his Secret Service agents will keep him up-to-date on news.

Donald Trump is once again prohibited from attacking the law clerk at his ongoing bank fraud trial in New York, now that a four-judge appellate panel has reinstated a gag order that was briefly lifted this month.

The two-page appeals court decision on Thursday wiped out Trump’s lone victory—albeit a minor one—during the trial that threatens to destroy the business tycoon’s real estate empire.
And we're back to where we were before because lifting the gag order predictably showed the need for the gag order.

How many people will have their lives potentially turned to chaos because Donald put them in his crosshairs for his unhinged base to harass and threaten? How long will the courts pretend is a normal actor or that his status as former POTUS grants him some secret protections, freeing him from the consequences this kind of behavior results in for everyone else?

I still struggle with why the F*** they lifted the order in the first place awaiting their decision. Everyone could see how that would go and the reasoning for the order was abundantly clear.

This is the circus you get with a blatantly two tiered justice system. I don't know if they're pretending to be incompetent and impotent or actually are. But this is what you get as a result.
Their next stern move is to lift the gag order again. You'll see...

Mike Lindell Wants Voters to Donate to His Fund Instead of Candidates

Lindell, a close ally to Donald Trump, has faced financial challenges over his vocal support of the former president's claims of widespread voter fraud during the 2020 election. Lindell has backed claims that Trump was the rightful winner of the election, resulting in defamation lawsuits from voting machine companies Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems.

These lawsuits have left him facing mounting legal bills, prompting him to plead with his supporters for financial donations. Additionally, he has said he spent $40 million of his own money trying to overturn the election, and several major retailers stopped stocking MyPillow over his views. Lindell has described the backlash as a "full-blown attack" on himself and MyPillow.
Yeah, going to step in right now. Just because you blow money on a blatantly bad idea doesn't make it anyone else's job to support you. You own a company. You want money? Sell pillows.

"He can't, he got canceled for all that stuff he did."

Then that should tell him something.

During a discussion on Lindell TV this week, he urged conservatives to prioritize donating to his Lindell Offense Fund, which has been used to pay for $500 wireless monitoring devices he says are designed to detect whether voting machines are connected to the internet.

He urged his supporters to donate to him before Republican candidates ahead of the 2024 elections, which AdImpact predicted in September will be the most expensive election year of all time. He believes "every single thing that's going on out there" that's going to help "secure our elections" would go through his fund, Lindell said.

"Anyone out there that's going to put money into candidates and so on, your first thing should be here," Lindell said. "Let's get on the same playing field. Let's level the field, right?"
For the record, I really hope this works. I hope Trump supporters just give money to Lindell to "secure the elections" which are already secure and the money won't go to Trump. Lindell is demonstrably incompetent and giving him money is akin to setting it ablaze. Go nuts.

Attorney warned Trump 'it's going to be a crime' if he didn't comply with subpoena for classified docs

Sources said the lawyer, Jennifer Little, told investigators Trump "absolutely" understood the warning, which came during a pivotal meeting at Mar-a-Lago with Trump and another attorney, Evan Corcoran, who had recently joined Trump's legal team.

What Little allegedly told Smith's team earlier this year may shed further light on how Smith came to accuse Trump of knowingly violating the law, saying in his June 9 indictment against Trump that the former president defied a subpoena by hiding more than 100 classified documents from the FBI and even his own legal team, and then having his legal team certify otherwise.

As described to ABC News, Little told investigators that while meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, she wanted to explain to him that a subpoena from the Justice Department was "different from" what Trump faced over the months before, when officials with the National Archives demanded he return documents taken from the White House.

Little allegedly recalled to investigators that she tried to impress upon Trump how "serious" the matter had become, with sources quoting her as telling investigators that she warned Trump, "You've got to comply."

But the indictment filed against Trump in Florida alleges that he did not comply and failed to turn over all documents in his possession, allegedly opting to obstruct Justice Department efforts. In particular, according to the indictment, Trump tried to "conceal his continued retention of classified documents" and "caused a false certification to be submitted to the FBI" claiming that all classified documents had been returned.
Trump is, in theory, and adult in the United States who has had lawyers for longer than disco has been dead, and watches a lot of TV. He should not need a lawyer to, in the last few years, tell him "comply with a subpoena". And yet.

McCarthy privately recounts terse phone call with Trump after ouster

Poor McCarthy. Throw him on the pile of people who threw away their jobs and lives to help Trump, only to be discarded like an ex-wife when he was done fucking them.

In the weeks after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, then-House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) traveled down to Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and threw a lifeline to the former president, who was under a cloud of controversy for provoking the historic assault.

Keeping up with politics is easy with The 5-Minute Fix Newsletter, in your inbox weekdays.
The fence-mending session between the two Republican leaders ended with a photo op of the two men, grinning side by side in a gilded, frescoed room. The stunning turnabout of the House GOP leader, who had previously blamed Trump for the deadly attack, paved the way for the former president’s return to de facto leader of the Republican Party.

When the tables were turned almost three years later, however, Trump did not return the favor.

During a phone call with McCarthy weeks after his historic Oct. 3 removal as House speaker, Trump detailed the reasons he had declined to ask Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and other hard-right lawmakers to back off their campaign to oust the California Republican from his leadership position, according to people familiar with the exchange who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to disclose a private conversation.

During the call, Trump lambasted McCarthy for not expunging his two impeachments and not endorsing him in the 2024 presidential campaign, according to people familiar with the conversation.

“Fuck you,” McCarthy claimed to have then told Trump, when he rehashed the call later to other people in two separate conversations, according to the people.
Seeing these people eat each other is as expected as it is magnificent.

    https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile...-case-lawyers/

After a failed “fishing expedition” targeting the committee that investigated the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, lawyers for former President Donald Trump have now asked a judge to define the “scope of the prosecution” in his election subversion case in Washington, D.C., alleging that agencies from the Justice Department to the CIA have refused to provide him with evidence that could vindicate him.

In the 37-page motion filed Wednesday, former president Trump’s lawyers allege that “while it is true that the prosecution has produced a significant volume of material, it has intentionally and unlawfully declined to search for other exculpatory documents that are in its actual or constructive possession.”
Well that's sure a legal strategy.

"Yes the prosecutors are fully cooperating and are giving us all the materials we need. Except for the materials that prove our clients innocence, which surely exist and they're just not looking for them!"

Doesn't sound like a great legal argument to me. It sounds like baseless desperation and the kind of waste of a courts time in bad faith that warrants consequences. But hey, that's just me. I try to be considerate of the fact that we have too few judges and that wasting a whole lotta time just causes backlogs in other cases.

As expected, Trump the fat fucking coward who is only followed by cowards is skipping the final GOP debate because he has no policies other than revenge and can't answer a direct question.

Oh, and he's selling tickets to a raffle to attend the fundraiser he's holding instead of going to the debates to explain why people should vote for a proven lying loser. So, not only is he not going, because he's a pussy, but he's auctioning off the change to see him flake out.

    Trump goes after Engoron's wife.

Judge Engoron’s Trump Hating wife, together with his very disturbed and angry law clerk, have taken over control of the New York State Witch Hunt Trial aimed at me, my family, and the Republican Party
He then posted several Twitter posts to demonstrate how Mrs. Engoron hates Trump.

Funny story: that's not her account. She doesn't have one. Trump was either fooled, or lied.

Doesn't really matter what's covered in the gag order when there are no consequences for violating it.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Hasn't he been doing this for a while? And didn't the gag order yesterday prevent him from doing this (at least with the clerk)? Or was this before that was reinstituted?

Appeals court rules that Donald is not immune from civil lawsuits over Jan. 6

A federal appeals court in Washington said Friday that former President Donald Trump is not currently entitled to immunity from civil lawsuits seeking to hold him accountable for actions surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol.

The unanimous opinion from the three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit allows the cases against Trump to move forward and comes nearly a year after the judges weighed Trump's claims that he's entitled to broad immunity from the suits brought by a group of congressional Democrats and veteran Capitol Police officers, who seek civil damages for the harms they alleged to have suffered because of the Capitol attack.

"The sole issue before us is whether President Trump has demonstrated an entitlement to official-act immunity for his actions leading up to and on January 6 as alleged in the complaints," Chief Judge Sri Srinivasan wrote. "We answer no, at least at this stage of the proceedings."

The panel said that when a first-term president chooses to run for a second term, his campaign for reelection is not an official presidential act, and actions undertaken while campaigning to hold onto the presidency are done in his capacity as an office-seeker, rather than an office-holder.

"In his view, a president's speech on matters of public concern is invariably an official function, and he was engaged in that function when he spoke at the January 6 rally and in the leadup to that day," the judges said. "We cannot accept that rationale. While presidents are often exercising official responsibilities when they speak on matters of public concern, that is not always the case."

The president, Srinivasan said, "does not spend every minute of every day exercising official responsibilities. And when he acts outside the functions of his office, he does not continue to enjoy immunity from damages liability just because he happens to be the president."
Much like the time Donald's DoJ argued that, "Everything he does is a presidential act, naturally, he is president! That includes defaming individuals currently engaged in civil lawsuits against him!", the courts did not buy that same argument here. Because as president yeah, you do a lot of official acts! But taking a shit isn't an official act. Nor is running your reelection campaign.
