The point being is with nonsense like this there is no reason to expect this to be taken seriously going forward. None.

There is no reason for Trump to have his bond reduced none. It’s bullshit

The real funny part is if he doesn’t have the wussified down amount either.

The only thing lowering the amount accomplishes is making it cheaper to buy a presidential candidate.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but… unless Trump is acquitted somehow, he still owes the 464 million, no?

Now don’t get me wrong this is obvious kowtowing to a bad faith criminal moron that should have been made to suffer the consequences long ago. But this isn’t him getting off Scott-free.

The only way he gets out of this without paying any money is if he’s acquitted. In which case this payment would have been useless anyway.

I think he’s mistaking the use of the term “witch hunt.” Perhaps he meant “kangaroo court.”

Neither feels applicable, really, if his complaint is that the amount shouldn't have been lowered.

BREAKING: The biggest institutional investor in the SPAC that’s merging with Truth Social is Susquehanna International Group LLP, which was co-founded by GOP megadonor Jeffrey Yass.

The deal is poised to give Donald Trump a massive financial lifeline.

I understand the bond was lowered but Trump has a big donor beefing up Truth Social going public.

    No big deal right? Whoops.

Yass is a major investor in ByteDance and may be behind Trump’s flip flopping on a TikTok ban.

He also happens to be the single biggest political donor in the U.S. this cycle.

Remember a week ago when Donald flipped on TikTok. I mean we knew why, it was just who.

    He is Bitdance biggest investor.

He probably meant something like dog-and-pony show, but “witch hunt” and “kangaroo court” for the format. Two levels of wrong, but given the rest of the post I assume some similar fumble of speech occurred.

Yes. Should be more since ten days will cost him more interest ($111,000 per day, I believe)

Oh, I'm sure. It's just that both "witch hunt" and "kangaroo court" are generally used for wrongly condeming innocent people, which is the opposite of what's happening here.

The first time Trump has referred to anything with any sort of affection is his properties.

    Absolute psychopath.

Once again, if we believe his legal arguments and if we believe his claims that this is all spearheaded by President Biden then he has nothing to complain about. Because Biden can't do anything illegal, including ordering all Donald's assets be seized.

Even his golf trophies and awards, too.

    lmao

it's amazing how we are told time and time again that Trump is a unique threat to liberal democracy, AND YET at every turn it cannot help itself but handle him with kiddy gloves. IT'S ALMOST AS IF liberal institutions are in no way equipped to defend against the march of fascism, or even more damning when fascism eventually takes over you wont really be able to tell the difference. hell, sure doesn't make any bit of difference if your an asylum seeker at the southern border, or a Palestinian child, or in medical debt.

really makes you want to see this whole *vague gestures* country/society thing keep going, doesn't it?

I hope every single other person required to put up money now points to Trump getting the kid glove treatment and demands the same treatment themselves.

What I’m curious about is why hasn’t there been a defamation suit at this point against Trump for all the lies and slander he makes towards Biden, DA, judges, prosecutors, etc. clearly no reasonable person takes him seriously, but unfortunately a sizable portion of the population does. His intent is clearly malicious and slanderous. Why hasn’t he been sued for it?

No, he claimed he had 100m, he also claimed he had 500m, and yet they reduced his bond.

The problem is you would have to prove that it caused you actual harm. Also, when it comes to politicians, the standard for slander is much higher since they are a public figure and cannot generally censor bad speech like lies because of the First Amendment.

However, this only allows him to appeal. This doesn't mean much outside of that.

You could. The problem is the timing. There is no doubt that in time this will become penny stock. The question is "when?" The ticker "DJT" has been used before.

The previous iteration of the DJT ticker occurred in 1995, when Trump took his Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts public in an IPO. The idea was to raise money in the public markets that would help Trump expand his casino businesses, according to the New York Times' account of the IPO.

The shares initially performed well, increasing from its IPO price of $14 to a high of $35 a share soon after. But the stock plunged over the next few years, eventually trading for pennies.

Ooooo! Premonition. I just got the shivers.
