I hope I'm wrong but there's a reason why the Trump team is jumping on this.
You arent and this was discussed during deliberations with specific mention of Mike Pence.

Missouri sues New York for election fraud.

    No, really.

Today, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey filed suit against the State of New York for violating Missourians’ First Amendment right to hear from a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. Bailey’s lawsuit asserts that New York’s illicit prosecution, gag order, and sentencing of President Trump has undermined his ability to campaign for president. This overt meddling in a presidential election sabotages Missourians’ ability to hear from and cast a fully-informed vote for president mere months before the election.

Attorney General Bailey calls on the United States Supreme Court to invoke its original jurisdiction under Article III, Section II of the Constitution to settle the legal battle between the two states. His lawsuit petitions the Court to declare that New York’s restrictions on President Trump’s ability to campaign unlawfully interfere with the presidential election, to remove any gag orders against the former president, and to halt the impending sentencing until after the presidential election.

“Right now, Missouri has a huge problem with New York. Instead of letting presidential candidates campaign on their own merits, radical progressives in New York are trying to rig the 2024 election by waging a direct attack on our democratic process,” said Attorney General Bailey. “I will not sit idly by while Soros-backed prosecutors hold Missouri voters hostage in this presidential election. I am filing suit to ensure every Missourian can exercise their right to hear from and vote for their preferred presidential candidate.”

“Trump’s conviction is very likely to be overturned on appeal. But by then, the constraints New York has sought to impose on Trump to limit his ability to campaign will already have had their full effect. Missouri has a strong, judicially enforceable interest in its citizens and electors being able to hear Trump’s campaigning free from any gag order or other interference imposed by the State of New York.”
"Is he demanding to have the election, then sentence Trump?"

No. It's another stalling tactic. If it goes as planned, all he needs is SCOTUS to hold the sentencing for a short time. The merits of his case are not relevant.

"If he's so concerned about election meddling, why isn't he upset about Jan 6th?"

He's not concerned with election meddling. He wants Trump in the WH.

"In that same statement, he takes a shot at Merchan for donating to Biden. Did he donate to Trump?"

I will assume the answer is "yes" because Trump supporters are known hypocrites.

"On what legal basis is he so sure that Trump's conviction will be overturned?"

    Literal divine worship.

    "You don't mean that."

Well, he posted no legal argument, so I can say whatever the fuck I want until he does and my opinion is as valid as his. The second he posts a specific law, a NY law might I add, that he says was broken, I'm all ears.

"So, anyone running for President is immune to not just prosecution, but cannot be sentenced even if found guilty?"

If they are Trump, yes. I can't help but notice this guy didn't say anything about Hunter Biden.

Truly some of the most pathetic shit.

While Republicans cry about "lawfare" they're actually engaged in with their expansive petty, pointless lawsuits.

77% of Americans do not believe Trump will accept the results of the election, even when completed and certified, if he loses.

Honestly, that sounds low. He didn't accept them last time. The poll should have been 100%.

I really want to see round 2 of the election being rigged. Queue the surveillance footage of election staff doing completely normal things blown completely out of proportion by conspiracy theorists who don't understand what the normal process looks like and think everything is a smoking gun. Followed up by the inevitable reveal that the footage isn't even from the most recent election.

Round 2 comes with Jan. 6 round 2. Though I assume they will be ready this time and simply disperse them before they kill someone.

I feel pretty safe to say that there will be a LOT of security around the Capitol this time, even without any sign of unrest.

But Biden is old and sleepy and had one bad night.

Yes, but have you considered that Biden needs an afternoon nap?

I honestly don't get people who would be voting Democrat but won't because Biden is old. But reality keeps going beyond my ability to understand people anyway.

Also, who doesn't need an afternoon nap after 40?

Anyone talking about not voting Biden wasn't voting for him anyway since there is no question between Biden and Trump.

But do not make the mistake of thinking those who want someone better the Biden (because the US should be able to do a lot better) are not willing to put their issues aside in the voting booth if it really ends up being Biden vs Trump

Biden really needs to call up the Seal Team 6 now on Trump. Fucking child rapist.

Oh, just with one exception: "nowhere near as fast as Bin Laden, make sure of it"

Not to be "that guy" but - https://cdn.factcheck.org/UploadedFi...if_Lawsuit.pdf

    That's text from a 2016 lawsuits filed.

    https://www.courtlistener.com/docket...onald-j-trump/

    That was pretty quickly dismissed.

Weirdly, some folks are doing the, "Take old information people have forgotten about and recycle it because it's related to something new/recent". I thought it seemed pretty sketch to not be front page news if it was fresh.

Eh, I don't think it is about people voting Trump instead. It is about people who do not regularly vote being motivated to show up to the polls.

Feel free to read why the case was dismissed in your link though. The issue was that it was filed at the wrong court for the wrong charges.

The biggest thing is that nobody will be able to hold a rally anywhere in DC when they certify the votes. However, and this is the biggest roadblock, is that the House is now Republican and knowing those chuckleheads, they most definitely will challenge the electoral votes there. At least now, it takes quite a bit more to actually challenge the votes than before because of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electo...nt_Act_of_2022

    Specifically this:

Any objection made by senators or representatives during the counting of the electoral votes must be made in writing and signed by at least one-fifth of the senators and one-fifth of the members of the House of Representatives. Previously, an objection required the signatures of only one member of each chamber.

The law also limits the grounds for an objection to one of the following:

The electors of a state were not lawfully certified
An elector's vote was not "regularly given"

Honestly, people should just hammer home, like really push it, that Donald Trump is an actual child predator and possible pedophile. Like really go to town with it. I would say him wanting to fuck his daughters would also cause him to lose votes but quite a few of his voters also probably have attempted to or actually molest or rape their own children.
