Well, don't forget that we're also expecting the unsealed supplemental brief on or soon after October 11th. It'll be harder to bury both with staggered release dates this close to the election.

This is the same person who would scream "ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" if a hurricane would come through within a couple of days of election day.

I mean, he is the same dude who thought covid was a hoax to hurt his re-election chances initially.

To be fair, it did hurt his re-election chances... because he fucked up the response so badly.

Was Trump's reaction as hostile to the similar situation that Clinton faced in 2016?
And how do you feel about leading questions?

Oklahoma State School Superintended Ryan Walters released requirements on the Bibles that the state wants to purchase to put in every single school there, in what remains a pretty clear First Amendment violation but whatever.

Why am I posting that here? Well, let's look at the requirements -

Bids opened Monday for a contract to supply the state Department of Education with 55,000 Bibles. According to the bid documents, vendors must meet certain specifications: Bibles must be the King James Version; must contain the Old and New Testaments; must include copies of the Pledge of Allegiance, Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights; and must be bound in leather or leather-like material.
Very patriotic! And leather binding, or leather-like material? That's fancy, and very specific.

A salesperson at Mardel Christian & Education searched, and though they carry 2,900 Bibles, none fit the parameters.
Huh, surely they can put in a few inserts, but does any Bible fit this bill?

Of course it does, almost like the requirements were created specifically so that only Donald's branded Bible would be eligible.

That's a cool $5M purchase at $90 each and 55K units, not including sales tax and assuming they don't get a discount.

Former Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson, a Democrat, told Oklahoma Watch that "if the bid specs exclude most bidders unnecessarily, I could consider that a violation."
In some good news at least, it might not actually happen as the requirements seem to be illegal in Oklahoma.

Really, the Republican party seems to have happily turned itself into part of Donald's grift machine and I can't wait for them to bankrupt their voters by constantly selling them overpriced garbage.

yeah the moment it said pledge of allegiance I knew it was going to be the Trump bible...
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

Because the schools have to disguise it under the vaguest pretense of “patriotism” by including the pledge and so forth. Or something.

Hey, as an aside isn’t doing that also basically… re-writing the Bible? Isn’t that what’s called, oh what’s the word… blasphemy?

No one has more contempt for Trump supporters than Trump himself. Day 8629 of waiting for the news media to apologize for claiming without evidence, that Trump was a “changed man”.

In a room filled with billionaire mega-donors and other Republican politicians, Donald Trump played the murder of his supporter Corey Comparatore in Butler for laughs.
Very funny misth Trump... very funny.

Trump knows at least 4 couples among whom the women would be happy to have their husband shot dead. Willing to bet Melania is on the top of the list.

Analyst nails why Trump's fans are bailing on his rallies – and how it could grow worse

Reacting to a Washington Post report on the alarming trend of Donald Trump fans leaving early during his increasingly smaller rallies, the panel on MSNBC's "The Weekend" suggested it is a sign that the former president's act is growing tired and even his MAGA supporters are losing interest.
“But this isn’t the end. I promise you, this is not the end, and we have to regroup and we have to continue to fight and continue to work day in and day out to create the better society for our children, for this world, for this country, that we know is possible.” ~~Jon Stewart

I'm as confused as you are, but apparently Donald's shitty stock gained 11% today off the back of...Leon showing up to a rally?

Not that there is any lack of examples, but this really highlights how fundamentally bullshit stocks and how fundamentally irrational traders are, and is why I continue to laugh that one of the big names in stock trading is a guy who gets paid real money to go on TV and for years hit buttons and pull levers to make cartoon sound effects while frequently screaming at the top of his lungs.
