Hey...this is what Republicans explicitly wanted. (i don't want this) but there's a small part of me that would laugh all the way to hell if we gave them what they wanted

Yep. I don't wish this as it would set a precedent that the far-right conservative party would abuse handily. But this is one of those "What If....." moments that I love to game theory.

He should have done it 2 years ago and then maybe the result would be different. But a combination of his ego and dem administration impotence prevented that outcome.

wouldn't have changed anything. Biden has done well. The US economic is worse off the a few years ago but so is every other country in the world. The US doing better then the rest of the Western world because of Biden (lets assume for the sake of discussion) doesn't matter to voters. "I feel like I have less money to spend, therefor I will vote for the other guy no matter who he is or what he stands for".

Woulda shoulda coulda but I don't think it's impossible to think that if Biden had gracefully stepped down and we had regular primaries with a candidate that had the time and the room to distance themselves from his unpopular choices that the outcome may have been different. The stance of telling people fuck your feelings everything is good was always bad. I can tell you if you are a regular person and shop in a store things are not fine, ignoring and gas lighting people wasn't going to win.

Trump will find it very easy to divest himself of Truth Social. The stock is going to spike, and he'll sell his name for billions. Then, ignore the site, because he'll be back on Twitter.

I mean, I'm ready for it. I just don't do crypto. But yes, now that the popular vote has gone to a con man, it is a smart and wise decision to follow that trend.

Doesn't matter who the Democratic candidate is. Inflation hurt people so they want the guy promising unicorns.

Sell Truth Social for billions, get all the cases against him thrown out or neutered to the point where they don't matter because you can't imprison the President and then get some rounds of golf in.

Going to be a good 4 years for Trump...

Looks like this thread goes on for upwards of another 4 years. Wonder if we can get the pages to break 10,000 in that time. This is going to suck so bad and I am not able to fucking get away from this crap.

We'll only get to 10,000 pages if the upcoming clownshow doesn't suddenly start monitoring our posts from the last 8 years and decide we're all "enemies from within".

Sad thing is, even if I was to actually move out of here. My pay from the Military due to a permanent injury and work is off the table for me. So even if I moved, I would still be tethered back due to my income and if they decided to start cutting or even stopping it for vets no longer living there, that could really impact me.

It's off-topic, but for what it's worth, thank you for your service to your country. I wish your country had served you back.

I wish you the best my friend. I'm sorry that this country has failed you.

    @Breccia @Captain N

Thanks guys, I didn't actually get to serve my country unfortunately. Went into the military and was top 5 out of 51 for my group, but got hurt in a combatives class and wasn't allowed to see a doctor for 2 days because sick hall was closed on the weekends only for him to misdiagnose a popped disc hitting a nerve as a pulled muscle and lied on my paperwork to cover his ass so no one was willing to check behind him till my leg started going limp and they had no choice but to check.

Two surgeries later and I can walk now with a cane and/or brace, but right left is half numb, doesn't entirely listen, gives out and even feels stuff that isn't there. And the back always hurts. Why I end up online so much nowadays. According to the nerve conduction tests, have damage down both legs to the toes, the right leg is just worse than the left.

Trump admin RFK Jr pledges to remove the FDA.

    "He can't remove the department."

He can fire every single person in it.

    "Won't that lead to-"

    A lot of deaths, yes.

That is basically the plan for any department they don't want. Put someone in charge of it. Fire every single employee and don't rehire.

    Then privatise it.

The states will have to come up to the plate.
Although red states will likely see their own killed...before they realize the own demographic is being thinned out.
