Sure hope nobody points out what his position was in 2016!
That's literally what we've been talking about. You're the one that keeps trying to pivot to discussing endorsements.

You introduced the "endorsement" angle and have tried to keep it focused there despite people attempting to gently course correct you back on track -

First off, only you were talking about endorsements. Everyone else talking about donating and getting positions. They literally gave money to him and now are getting a position in the government, or as the case with Elon and Vivik, his ear.
Beyonce and Taylor wouldn't have gotten government positions. They wouldn't want them.
The problem is that, at least with Trump, people are literally buying their way into the government into positions that they can directly affect their companies that they run, or in the case with Elon, majorly negatively affect the company that are his competitors. That should be ringing a major number of sirens out there. This is LITERAL TEXBOOK CORRUPTION. This is the swamp that people like yourself and other Trump supporters rage on about.
But, we are just going to handwave them away because, you know, Taylor Swift said she was going to vote for Harris. Not give her $250 million and then get a position at the table. Just say she was going to vote for her. She didn't even tell people to vote for her, just that she was.
Might as well as make that a capital offense. /s
Apparently Leon is basically living at Maralago now because he understands that Donald largely just listens to whoever is around him at any given time so by making sure he's always around him he'll always be heard and repeated.
Also, where does he find all the time to do this even? Between playing other peoples characters in games, shitposting on Twitter all day, not-running multiple companies he's ostensibly the head of, and finding time for public photo-ops with one of his many children (whom he's seemingly grown bored of as the proximity to an alleged murder of a CEO has increased)?
Interesting stuff. Definitely listen to the guy who keeps laying off US workers at his companies and replacing them with H1-B Visa workers because it saves him, an immigrant with a sketchy immigration history, some money and inflates the value of his stock that's the primary source of his wealth.
When challenging a Kzin, a simple scream of rage is sufficient. You scream and you leap.

That is what you should've linked, the post I responded to."There is something to be said about the party of the elites and billionaires winning over the working class by blatantly lying and pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into politics."
She had all these celebrity Hollywood types making prominent endorsements. She had a billion dollars flow into her campaign chest in 3 months. She had an absolute fuckton of elites in business, academia, and media rally behind her. That all plays into the perception AND reality of which party is the party of elites and billionaires.
I understand from the multitude of posts that many people are not willing to have that conversation. It's pretty soon after the election, so perhaps that's totally understandable. But if you want to understand this topic better, the first thing you must do is acknowledge that the conversation around which party is the party of elites and billionaires is now a murky soup. Kamala lined them up. She debatably wins both categories, and if you want to be extra cautious, neither candidate or party clearly wins either category.
I think this deflection to the net worth of people filling government and advisory positions is a total dodge. I think if people sat down and thought about it a second, they would come to recognize that "All the smart people support Kamala, and they know what's best for the working class better than the working class does" is foundationally an elitist attitude.
It can be elitist, and party of billionaires, even if you (and them) are operating from "Noblesse Oblige:" the party of privilege is seeking to operate generously to those of the lower classes, and use their superior education to better their lives. Some of the responses I read acted like an oligarchy of the rich could be the party of the working class as long as they called the working class ignorant and said they had a better idea than the working class of what the working class actually needs.
Please read the post I responded to, https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...1#post54616534 and my response https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...1#post54616576. You'll see that I contradicted the poster on "the party of the elites and billionaires," because I think the 2024 election either did not have such a thing, or the Democrats and Kamala deserve the title more.
If you think you can discuss "the party of the elites and billionaires" and exclude people of power and privilege and wealth endorsing Kamala and donating to Kamala (and receiving millions from Kamala), then you're incapable of discussing the topic.
Which, as you'll note, makes no mention of endorsements and instead is specific to the money they spend and positions they are rewarded with. I linked to your post, which attempted to change the topic to "endorsements".
Again, the same play - change the topic while lying and claiming you never attempted to change the topic.
You literally were the first to introduce the notion that an "endorsement" is remotely akin to what we were discussing in this thread when you decided to pigeon on in, which was the financial contributions and high level positions that a great number of largely unqualified billionaires are getting within the incoming Republican administration.
Do try to stay on topic, it shouldn't be that hard.

So, let me see if I understand you. A bunch of rich billionaire businessmen buying their way into actual government positions where they will be able to directly affect the laws that regulate their own businesses is in no way a problem whatsoever, and is just dodging the real problem of rich billionaire entertainers endorsing Democrat candidates specifically? Is that really the point you're making here?

So, the party that has Elon, the richest man in the world, the Koch and Walton family, Bezos and others, isn't the party of elites and billionaires?
I guess that is a take. The best part is, Kamala wasn't giving any of them actual high ranking government positions that would allow them to directly benefit their companies or directly hinder their competition. Because that is what Trump is doing.
And I did read your replies. You started to talk about endorsements. Everyone else was talking about directly donating or directly influencing voters through their platforms to vote for the people they are voting for. Show me where Taylor Swift said to vote for Harris. Because all she said is she was voting for her. Show me where Beyonce said to vote for Harris. Because once again, all she said is she was voting for Harris.
Those are endorsements. Elon actively campaigned for Trump. Bezos actively campaigned for Trump. Not endorsed but campaigned.

Its so sad that Trump supporters are stuck in the past. Still thinking we are in the election

At the rate it is going, your political party might be the first one in the history of the United States to have a president that is elected but not be able to take office because they cannot elect a Speaker of the House. And until they do, they are blocked from doing any other business.
Let that sink in. If there is no Speaker of the House, they cannot certify the electoral votes. If they cannot certify the votes, Trump literally cannot take office. And since there would be no Speaker, it would fall on President Pro Tempore of the Senate, which would be Chuck Grassley.
And as of now there are enough protest votes to make sure Mike Johnson doesn't get re-elected to Speaker.
