Trump's first whitehouse interview with Cucker Carlson is fucking hilarious, because Cucker is trying to steer Trump into talks about policy and shit and all Trump wants to do is talk about Hillary's Emails, Russia investigation, January 6th investigation, Adam Schiff, the "perfect call" he made to Georgia governor, etc.
Fucking hilarious that there are people in this thread who are going "I think Trump should and will look forward and help us heal" and already the fucker is just getting obsessed with past slights against him.
Also notice how he withdrew from the World Health Organization, an act that has ZERO upside because the US literally gets nothing but benefits from WHO. He's shutting down research and reporting on infectious diseases like bird flu. You know this is all retaliatory. Trump very likely blames a big reason he lost 2020 on how health organizations objectively called out Trump's AWFUL handling of COVID and now he wants to squash all public health and safety because it made him mad. Fucking hilarious that any of the MAGAts in this thread actually believed Trump was going to do anything but piss and moan about past sleights.

I was assured earlier in this thread that Donald would be looking forward and totally not be holding grudges despite the fact that he's literally famous for holding grudges including one over a single comment about his small hands. That he still holds nearly 40 years later.
This is why I can't take conservatives seriously anymore. They behave in such a fundamentally unserious manner there's no way to take them seriously. They ignore reality around them, assert the opposite, and then act offended when their fantasies are pointed out for what they are.
Like, I really enjoy heated debates and discussions. Where we have actual differences of opinion and the best course isn't clear.
But we can't have such discussions any more, at least in politics, because conservatives don't have a coherent ideology with functional principles from which to develop or discuss policy. I've been asking consistently here for years in various threads, on various topics, to get anyone to provide an explanation, but the last user who ever even tried was Skroe. When you can't present an argument I can at least intellectually understand as coherent, if not agree with emotionally, then you just flat-out don't have an argument that supports your views. Period, end discussion. It's that cut and dry.
Like, I've made a hobby of theology for way longer than I've been here as a poster. I nearly had enough credits to minor in theology when I did my History degree (expressed only to show the interest wasn't just casual). Religious discussion is not permitted, and I get why, but just to make the point; I'm perfectly comfortable accepting arguments I don't emotionally agree with. I don't have an issue with anyone having faith (even if I don't), or making arguments from that faith, but the tenets of that faith can and should be held to scrutiny for their internal coherency and validation in your scripture. That's "theology", as a practice.
Sure, off-topic here. I'm not trying to dispute that. My point is even if we take conservativism as a "faith" thing that isn't based on reality alone, it still has to hold to tenets and logic. There has to be something underpinning it. And nobody's been able to explain what that even is; every time we break it down, it comes down to "supporting hierarchical systems that establish in-groups to be protected and out-groups to be harmed". And those distinctions are entirely arbitrary. And because it's arbitrary, that central premise lacks validity; you cannot establish any sense of justness in which groups are "in" and which are "out". And you've gotta, if you want a coherent and understandable system of thought based on justifiable principles.
Conservativism, in all its flavors? Nope.
And just watch; I'm asking again here. Will I get the answer this time? Betting not.
And without that answer, there's just nothing to discuss. They're wrong and their position is based on intentional cruelty, and we should oppose it for the same reason we'd stop a guy beating his wife in the middle of a public park.
Well there's the thing:
There's no way to tell the difference between a Trump supporter and an intentionally dishonest foreign troll intentionally sowing discord.
Every single thing is the same. The dodging of questions, the ignoring of responses, the utter lack of actual engagement in general.

Honestly, people would take conservatives more seriously in this regard other than just trolls if they would actually answer questions with ACTUAL evidence. Not whataboutisms, not "Oh, this is the take from this talking head", not "I heard it from a guy who heard it on TV", actual evidence that can be looked up and researched.
Until they start doing this, I will personally treat them like I treat flat earthers. Like special needs children. Because that is exactly what they remind me of.
At least special needs children actually have a reason why they are the way they are.

Anyone keeping track of how many promises the orange one has reneged on already?
He is now saying he will no longer release the jfk files.

What do you mean? They are currently working in The White House, out of the Eisenhower building at the moment. I heard even one got an office with an actual White House email address.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/politics/g...d=BingNewsSerp
Billionaire Elon Musk has already secured a White House email address and office space, clearing the way for him to launch the cost-cutting effort he’s called the Department of Government Efficiency.
President Donald Trump set a formal structure to that effort Monday, signing an order renaming the US Digital Service — which currently exists as an in-house technology think tank within the presidency — as the US DOGE Service. That office will staff Musk’s group, which will be a temporary organization authorized to recruit outside volunteer experts.
So, how ya'll feeling after day 2 here?
I will tell you what. It's going exactly as I thought it would go.
It's a cluster fuck. Trump has done absolutely nothing of substance AND the things he has done are not "hurting the right people". Lots of MAGA getting caught up in all the poorly thought-out EOs.
More MAGA are going to continue to be hurt.
Some liberals are also getting hurt.
But overall, there is nothing earthshattering to the foundations of Democracy.
2026 is going to be an absolute and brutal wipeout for the GOP at the rate Trump and team are going. Democrats might very well take back the Senate and/or tie it up.
I do see some of these Republican nuts cheering on a thing here or there, but overall, there are a lot of scared GOP because who knows why? Somehow they thought the dumbasses who couldn't figure out how to turn out light switches the first time around somehow got smarter and would do things properly. They aren't.
Looking at a subreddit like leopardsatemyface will show you the type of stuff that is happening that are pissing off MAGA.
Maga whores and politicians will look up and shout 'SAVE US!'...and I'll look down and whisper, No.
At the end of the day, I really don't care. I didn't vote for this shit. in 2026 and 2028 (as well as various smaller elections we get here in between those two big ones) I will do my part to help clean this up, but I'm going to spend the next 2-4 years watching these MAGA cry while they suffer at the whims of billionaires and I'm just going to laugh. They get what they fucking deserve.
The distance between what is said and what is known to be true has become an abyss. Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped form our hands, we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest.

It is the "They'll never hurt me. I am one of them." fallacies that a LOT of conservatives tend to think. They don't seem to understand, and probably never will, that any policy out there is going to affect them as much as everyone else, even more so.
Either that or "It is ok when I get it or does it, not ok when anyone else gets it or does it" hypcrisy.
A good example of this is people on welfare or other government subsidies. Quite a few MAGA types are on disability, Medicare, Medicaid and the like. However, they have no qualms about said government handouts but will complain when someone else gets it. And yet, much like you are seeing now, they thought that THEIR subsidy wasn't going to get cut or THEIR job wasn't going to go away. I saw this first hand when a place I worked at years ago when the GOP demanded there to be a hardline austerity measures put in place to get their vote on a budget to be passed. Meaning every single agency, function and the like had to cut the exact same amount if it wasn't of an essential or national security nature.
Well, a coworker of mine was a DIEHARD Republican. He was ALL for said austerity measures. Love the airshows that were federally funded as he was also a BIG military guy. One of the things that got cut was said airshow because it was non-essential. Complained about it NONSTOP. Had to tell him that one of the things that was demanded by the people he voted for was non-essential stuff to be cut. He actively stated that he thought they were only going to cut welfare and the like. I had to tell him that, no, it had to be equal cuts everywhere that was considered non-essential. And instead of him putting 2 and 2 together, all he did was complain about how they should have just cut more from welfare and left his airshows alone.
He never wanted to blame the people that put the policy in place, only wanted to hurt others to benefit himself. Nobody actually liked working with the guy either as he was massively lazy. Last I heard(and this was about 9 years ago) is that he got a job somewhere, quit almost immediately because they actually wanted him to work. Probably retired, voted for Trump and complains about what he gets in SS.
LOL. Good that this Nazi and her wife are now struggling due to Trump's poorly thought out order. Every one of these I see makes my cold dead heart shiver with a little more excitement.

At this point, I just want everyone to hurt so that their actions can actually be felt. 6 million people decided not to vote for Harris who turned out for Joe. 77 million voted for Trump. And 89.1 million decided that it wasn't worth their time to vote.
~187 million people allowed this to happen
~75 million people tried to stop it
Bring all the hurt because the chances of it affecting more of the ~187 million than the ~75 million are HIGH.
The beatings will continue until the fucktards realize that you can't fuck around on election day.

Go out, grab rocks, throw them as silicon valley tech bros, GOP officials, and cops.

On the latter.
It's also giving a huge platform to the CPP, basically giving them a free PR win and so much policy power from being the biggest single WHO contributor.
