To that I say - gitgud. Literally.

The most qualified person should be the one to get the job and that's the end of the story. What you have between your legs, and what color your skin is should have absolutely no consideration whatsoever in a hiring process, unless the position actually demands that for objective operational reasons.

There's almost never such thing as "the most qualified person". Pretty much every job posting gets a gaggle of qualified candidates and typically hiring managers parse things down to who they FEEL might be a better fit for the position/team. You obviously have no fucking idea what DEI actually means, but I guarantee you that it doesn't mean "hire unqualified people". The issue that DEI is designed to address is the FACT that historically when it came time to determine who FELT like the best pick from all the ones that were qualified, certain groups of people were more likely to be passed up due to biases (both implicit and explicit).

What you have between your legs, the color of your skin, whether your name sounds "foreign", whether you have a disability of some sort will ALWAYS be taken into consideration in some respect because ultimately hiring is done by people and people are biased. Demonizing and getting rid of DEI initiatives basically guarantees that minorities will be negatively impacted due to bias. Period.

Sure, in a perfect world, but you damn well know that is not what will happen. What will happen is a highly experienced minority/woman/gay will be rejected while the underperforming white guy will be chosen. How do I know this will happen? Cause it's happened before and it will happen again because you fragile little "men" are upset that minorities are on equal footing in any regard.

I'm thinking Trump's brain has melted to the point where he genuinely believes he can just... "Harold and the Purple Crayon" the world into his ideal state. That he can write something like "inflation is over" or "no more war" on a piece of paper and it'll just... be fixed and he'll be a hero.

RuZZia gets much of it's export money from oil sales. So, to simplify the "logic" a bit: if you tank the oil prices, RuZZia gets far less money coming in, and the idea seems to be, that Putler would be willing to end the war in exchange of having the cash flow reinstated. In any sane world, this could work, but not with insane tin pot dictators. Putler has already chosen to go all in, regardless of cost. Some more cost won't deter him.

If Trump keeps pushing with this Tariff thing, the retaliation is going to absolutely skullfuck the American economy, because it's not going to be light blowback. The kid gloves are going to come off, and what happened during his last go round at this is going to seem like a friendly tap on the shoulder by comparison to the absolute beating you're going to get.

I'm honestly curious if this shit could destabilize the American dollar enough that the rumblings of the rest of the world seriously considering swapping off the Dollar as the global reserve currency could actually happen during Trump's term. Which, of course, would basically kill the USA economically. Like, just straight up slit it's throat.
