The context in which Ive made my points and Draco Onis can back this up is that US regulations make building power plants in the US take a lot of time. But there are even more American companies that import products from Columbia.

And those Columbian owned companies that operate in the US... they employ Americans.

So, when Tariff's raise the cost of importing a product...those companies will have two choices

1) raise their prices to match... which means Americans are paying more for those products
2) cut costs elsewhere. Which usually means Americans lose their jobs.

Trade wars with allies have historically only ever weakened the global standing of the country threatening the trade wars. In Trump's last term he put tariffs on China and got so absolutely bodied by China's counter-tariffs that he quietly worked out a deal to end both.

1/5 of American coffee comes from Colombia, but living in Israel I imagine you don't really give a shit about the price of groceries in the USA or the average material conditions of... any US citizens, much less conservatives, you're just here for the cruelty because that's the mentality of a middle schooler who thinks dumb AI images are cool.

Based on public statements, Columbia just wanted them on civilian flights this whole time. Nothing about that has ever been contradicted. If Trump had just asked nicely, this never would have happened, and the US would have saved some money and bad PR.

The tariff thing is annoying bc the point of tariffs as protectionist policy is that it literally makes foreign goods more expensive so that national goods can compete.

Objective falsehood. Columbia has offered to fly them over. First, that offer hasn't been taken yet. Second, they did not offer to pay the US for the US military flights. It's a lot easier to score points when you stop moving the goalposts. In the end, what you have is your own admission Trump should have just asked in the first place instead of acting like a bully and being shamed on the world stage by a country best known for serving coffee.
