DOGE needs to run its course. We all sort of assumed govt was bad at handling money, but little did we know it was THIS bad. USAID may just be the tip of the iceberg.

It kind of is Democrats fault for being such bad stewards of our government that they allowed such a backlash to occur.

At least we finally get to uncover all of the corruption and waste. Democrats are never coming back from this, they will be relegated to a regional party with some strongholds in CA, IL and NY, and that's it.

The link you posted was, as expected, bullshit. The UN is a NGO that helps all kinds of refugees, for example, and we don't even send them $600 million quarterly.

Tell you what, let me know when you have something more than a sound bite shown by Some Guy On Twitter. Until then, your lack of seriousness will be returned in kind.

    Got more info?

Which NGO? Is it just one NGO? What does this NGO do? Are they still doing what they set out to do? Is what the NGO(s) do still necessary? Will what the NGO does be necessary in the coming future?

Without any of this info, that was a worthless waste of time to watch.

Do we need to audit our government's spending and programs on a regular basis, yes. Do we need an agenda driven lunatic running the show? Absolutely not.

most of what was on that list didn't even amount to loose couch cushion change, a great amount of the rest of the list was objectively and factually incorrect.

I've posted multiple times on this forum with a totally contrary view.

    1. Just because Republicans like to diminish the powers of the incoming party doesn't mean it's a good thing to do.
    2. Any measures they could do would immediately be undone by the incoming Republican lead Congress.
    3. Any measures they could have done would be expanded by Republicans against the next Democrat President.
You would be in a lot stronger position if you limited the powers of the presidency that you dislike Trump using right now.

You would actually force Republicans in Congress to pass controversial executive-expanding powers with Trump in the White House, and in case you forgot, Republicans have a razor-thin majority in Congress and have frequently failed to pass legislation from a split conference.

And *EVEN* if by some miracle the Republicans get a House majority, they are nowhere near a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. These are hurdles. If you're a smart Democrat, you want Republicans to be forced to clear these hurdles in order for Trump to exercise power that you want denied to him.

Are there any "cronyism and patronage schemes" going on or are you just sucking shit out of Trump's ass? And don't try to gaslight us into thinking Trump let Musk invade the USAID and Treasury Department to fix any wrong doings. They went in to steal. Nothing more.
I mentioned two below, that were also mentioned by the press secretary a day or two ago. USAID had a public database of grants, so you can simply look up ones that were active as of last year, and connect them to ones Trump has announced are ending/have ended.

    https://x.com/Oilfield_Rando/status/1886561342821175620

(Video & Links to publicly available data)

People want into our country. How is this a bad thing? Why do you hate people from other countries so much? And don't play it off like you want them to come in legally, because you don't.
Typical refusal to answer and deflection. In the face of a historic immigration surge, Democrats are still trying to accuse others of hating immigrants. Just say you support open borders and be done with it. That's the net effect of blaming efforts to curb illegal immigration to hatred of immigrants.

To busy fixing all the other shit that's been fucked by the last Trump Presidency. That and all the MAGA traitors actively working against this country's interest from INSIDE the Capital building just so they can sit back and point at Biden for not getting anything done and oh hey isn't that what you're doing right now? Funny how if you just sit back and throw mud at someone trying to clean a house they can't seem to get anything clean. And then you people vote in the mudslingers thinking they know how to clean the mud dripping off of their hands out of the carpet.
This is an open admission of failure of the Biden administration. Don't worry: certain Republican politicians and related activists and media figures will do the same exact thing in the coming months. Trump administration results aren't good. Guys, guys, we're just trying to undue all the disastrous policies of the Biden administration, and their deep-state allies in the Executive Branch that still think Biden's their boss.

More bullshit from Trump's ass you keep spewing.
Those are just the easy ones to cite. But this is still the path to continued failure. Deny the facts, and deflect when you're called out on it. The proper way to do it, if you're seeking to return to power in 2028, is to say that the Biden administration was insufficiently committed to reform. Then that the Trump administration threw out the good grants with the bad.

You just won't win while stonewalling bad government grants that hope to never been looked at under the umbrella of "foreign aid." Democrats need to basically ignore you, and say that some of these programs need to be cut and they want to be partners on that. But I think they're currently too indebted to left-wing patronage networks (receive federal money, support the political party in government that is never willing to cut off the money).

I'm not personally accusing you of being in league with beneficiaries of this scheme. You're just going along with the inertia of cuts and the partisanship of ignoring scandals. If you can't acknowledge the good cuts, the American people will not side with you in keeping the current systems in place unchanged.

I get you don't like women, foreigners, trans, gays, minorities, poor people, etc., but that doesn't mean you can make up some bullshit about a subject you didn't know Trump was going to make up 3 weeks ago. There wasn't DEI abuse. It didn't happen.
I know that you don't like the scandals, but you can't pretend them away. The litigation has been around for ~ a decade. And the left, presumptively, should be calling attention to the most glaring example, since they want to protect the "good" spending on advancing the interests of underrepresented minorities.

    https://x.com/tracewoodgrains/status...65490555445259

That's been the Dem strategy. Ignore scandal. Say everything is good. Say it's just biased Republicans that hate minorities. Stonewall more. Years and years later it's a scandal that only the most partisan Democrats can still try to ignore. There's a part of me that thinks Democrats are too wedded to deny and deflect to actually make a comeback. You have to start saying that the scandals were bad, and Democrats missed it or were part of it, in order to emerge as the ones most trusted to fix what needs fixing. If you don't start saying it now, Americans are going to support the wholesale scrapping of DEI programs and related foreign aid programs.

Except in America where we vote them into office to fuck up it up because a third of our country would rather live without any government.
I didn't make the rules. If you show you're incapable of governing competently, you're going to get tossed out. And you can whine, moan, and complain about the character of the people brought in, but you've lost the ability to make your own case. You have to wait for them to mess up, hopefully worse than you guys messed up, and then plead your case from being out of power. The Democratic message, as much as they try to deny it, is "We didn't mess up. It wasn't our fault. The mistakes we didn't make that led to outcomes we didn't cause would be much worse if the Republicans were in charge instead of us." Wholly contradictory and the opposite of leadership.

Gee good thing the Republicans are in charge of all 3 branches of the government, they should have absolutely no problem with producing receipts for all this...
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

lotta discussion to be had on this that unfortunately goes into forbidden topics, but needless to say there's a reason Reagan has been a near god-like figure, revered as a saint by republicans since the 80's

Propaganda because you don't like the message? You are free to refute the point with a counter source of you like. Otherwise this is just lazy.

what's fun is that there's honestly some room for discussion there but i don't think anyone believes he's interested or even capable of an actual discussion on the topic
