So, people are really pissed off. And I do mean pissed off. Right now there are major protests around the country. One happened in front of the Treasury Department in DC where thousands of people showed up demanding to be let in yesterday. This included Senators and Representatives.

Another is Articles of Impeachment have been filed against Trump. Thing about those is votes can be forced from one member of the House and cannot be tabled or blocked.

Democrats have decided to demand Musk go away or there will not be a budget being passed. Republicans are freaking out about it because they will actively be blamed for it since they are the majority party in power.

This along with Trump basically wanting to annex everything or take over sovereign areas and Musk basically trying to block investigations into his businesses and steal private, classified or personal data of pretty much every government employee and possibly every citizen, people are absolutely furious.

More likely he wants as much distance from himself and his goons as possible as a failsafe in case this whole operation goes south. Just claim he let these toddlers loose without direct oversight, trusting their judgement, then throw them under the bus.
