As a Liberal I can only praise Trump for these past weeks. It's been amazing.

Raising prices significantly for billionaires is good.
Raising prices slightly for poor people to afford living is bad.

    Correct, it doesn't.

Why Do Wage Increases Cause Inflation?
Wage increases cause inflation because the cost of producing goods and services goes up as companies pay their employees more. Companies must charge more for their goods and services to maintain the same level of profitability to make up for the increase in cost. The increase in the prices of goods and services is inflation.

Increasing wages as a way to fight inflation is dangerous business. I'm glad more people realize this.

I pushed back against those so called " New Liberals " because I knew they were preparing to poison the well.

I'm the original kind. The reasonable, moderated kind.

It took a while but we finally beat them back with Trump's help.

Still a story sweaties. It'll get worse by March. By then GOp/Trump/Elon/Kanye will have oblitered the FDA and food safety. Each egg will be a $10 chance to play with salmonella!
We will have this as a way to get eggs.

You do realize that the only way for you to get a raise, or anyone else for that matter, is for prices to go up as there is no way for a business to pay their workers more if they cannot raise anymore money.

From my perspective that is a weird question to ask. Trump's presidency so far is basically every Liberal's wet dream..

I won't go into detail about how that happened because most of you know, but I will link a short version should care to brush up. The CFPB was created to prevent blatant disregard for common sense safety from causing another recession.

    Trump just ended it.

"Wasn't the CFPB created by Congress?"

Yes. This is likely heading for another lawsuit. But this fits in with Trump's removal of all oversight (he fired all those inspector generals). In other words, there are set to be no safeguards, or no used safeguards, when Trump or his billionaire "friends" decide to do whatever they want.

I would recommend you find state and local safeguards.
It is the exact same playbook that they tried before with it. The problem is that the CFPB is a department within the Federal Reserve which, the last time I checked is both a government and a non-government entity. The part of it that is government related is the Board of Governors. Everything and everyone else in it is not. That also includes the CFPB. They get funding directly from the Reserve.

While they can tell the workers to not do any work(that is within their actual realm of authority), the thing will still be there. Much like if they tried to get rid of the IRS thinking they would get rid of taxes too. Which isn't how that works.

I mean, they could literally just tell the workers to not do any work of pretty much any and all executive branch agencies outside of the ones mandated by law if they really wanted to shut things down but that would just look dumb, wouldn't it.

I mean the alternative is…. Pay the vastly overpaid CEO and CFOs making tens upon tens of millions of dollars slightly fewer millions and raise everyone else’s wages, or lower the price of goods and services because the overhead required to support the millionaire’s salaries is now slightly lower.

Or tax the rich people higher so that their income goes into funding programs that reduce the expenses of less-rich people so they can retain more of their money.

Weird how the GOP maintain that the best way to help the average American is through some rube Goldberg-esque plan of giving rich people even more money and less oversight with the assurance it’ll trickle down, instead of just making sure that the people that need the money can more easily get it in their pocket.

Is that CBS poll?!? Remember when they did news. Now they just write Mistah Trump big checks, so he will approve the Oracle nepo baby buying up control of Paramount.
