Man, for being such a 'big strong leader', Trump looks cowed in every meeting he has with anyone remotely his political equal and his only major geopolitical 'deals' involved being tricked by Mexico and Canada and trying to give Ukraine away to Russia for actually nothing.

    What a pathetic fucking loser.

How long until Trump tweets out that he never liked the Eagles and the super bowl was rigged against his buddies the Chiefs?

ETA until DoJ investigation is announced? Also, additional investigations into the city of Philly just 'cause?

Well, it wouldn't be done with a simple majority but a super majority of the voting populace. As far as Senators and Representatives, it would need to require, at a minimum, of 40% of the voting population in that state to even get a special vote that would require, at a minimum, of 75% of the vote in order to remove. It would be a way to remove those who are so nakedly partisan and corrupt that they would normally be fired in any other job. Because right now, there are those who absolutely don't vote in the best interests of their constituents and absolutely are voting based on who pays them the most. And those people should be removed from office as that is rank corruption.

And the first news stories that come out with people getting sick or dying from those infected eggs will do far more harm to the farmers than even culling the chickens will. It will cause a major collapse of the entire poultry market to the point that we will go from very expensive chicken meat and eggs to not being able to give any of it away. Much like what is happening now with flying and people deciding to not fly because of how many crashes are being reported.

The best example of how "strong" a leader Trump is, is to watch this video of CNN from way back when in 1990. He didn't like the questions being asked about him bankrupting his casino and just got up and walked out.

Well, I mean, they are trying to hire them back. I wonder if they lost their contact information like they did with the people in charge of our nuclear stockpile.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Elon told one of his DOGE henchmen to do that. Because Elon is a known troll and would be right up his alley.

I don't think the big risk is getting infected via eggs. They are just trying to stop the spread of the virus, to stop it from mutating into something that can more easily infect humans.

I could be wrong, but this is my current understanding of the cullings.

OFC either way, Trump will fuck this up so just be prepared to mask up again.

Today, President Emmanuel Macron of France joined me in the Oval Office to speak to the G7 Summit. The meeting was convened by Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada, the current chair of G7, to acknowledge the Third Anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine War – Which would have never started if I was President.
"How can he be so sure Putin wouldn't have invaded?"

Well the obvious answer is "he's lying". Or, Putin would have invaded, but Trump wouldn't have called it a war. He would have just let Russia win.

    "Wait, sorry, Governor who?"

I have to admit, I don't know of any governor named Justin Trudeau in Canada. Or the USA, either. Perhaps I missed something. Hey @tehdang which province of Canada has a governor named Justin Trudeau? This is an official posting by Trump from Trump's own social media, I assume this is something you would regard positively in this fast-moving thread. Surely you can find which governor this is? There aren't that many.

Everyone expressed their goal of seeing the War end, and I emphasized the importance of the vital 'Critical Minerals and Rare-Earths Deal' between the United States and Ukraine, which we hope will be signed very soon!

This deal, which is an 'Economic Partnership,' will ensure the American people recoup the Tens of Billions of Dollars and Military Equipment sent to Ukraine, while also helping Ukraine’s economy grow as this Brutal and Savage War comes to an end.

At the same time, I am in serious discussions with President Vladimir Putin of Russia concerning the ending of the War, and also major Economic Development transactions which will take place between the United States and Russia. Talks are proceeding very well!"
"So everyone showed up to talk about ending the war, and Trump showed up to talk about taking all their rare earth metals?"

    Yes. You can't be surprised.

"Sorry, recoup the money and equipment?"

I believe Trump is suggesting that, once Ukraine has been either partially or completely taken by Russia, they won't need an army to defend what crumbs of their sovereign country Putin/Trump allows them to keep. After all, what are the odds the country that invaded twice would invade a third time, if there are only positive consequences?

"How does giving away all their rare earth metals help their economy?"

    It doesn't. Trump is lying.

"Is there any chance Trump is talking about buying them for a fair price?"

If he was offering a fair price, Ukraine would have sold by now, but also, it wouldn't be any kind of incentive to end the war.

"What major developments is he talking about with Russia?"

Well, Trump seems unlikely to have the US buy Russian goods because he tariffs those. So, he'd be talking about selling things to Russia. Say, a windfall of rare earth metals he didn't pay for. Or, you know, Russia just handing Trump a large pile of cash.

"Does anyone agree with Trump, other than Putin?"

UN rejects U.S. resolution urging an end to the war in Ukraine without mentioning Moscow’s aggression

In a win for Ukraine on the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion, the United States on Monday failed to get the U.N. General Assembly to approve its resolution urging an end to the war without mentioning Moscow’s aggression. And the assembly approved a dueling European-backed Ukrainian resolution demanding Russia immediately withdraw from Ukraine.

It marks a setback for the Trump administration in the 193-member world body, whose resolutions are not legally binding but are seen as a barometer of world opinion. But it also shows some diminished support for Ukraine, whose resolution passed 93-18, with 65 abstentions. That’s lower than previous votes, which saw over 140 nations condemn Russia’s aggression.

The United States had tried to pressure the Ukrainians to withdraw their resolution in favor of its proposal, according to a U.S. official and a European diplomat who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the talks were private. They refused, and then the assembly added language to the U.S. proposal making clear that Russia invaded its smaller neighbor in violation of the U.N. Charter.

The vote on the amended U.S. resolution was 93-8 with 73 abstentions, with Ukraine voting “yes,” the U.S. abstaining and Russia voting “no.”
So, overall, no. Most of the world is against the USA on this one.

"The USA abstained from their own motion?"

Since "Russia shot first" was added, and also, a clause that Ukraine was a sovereign country that didn't ask to be invaded.

"Did you just make me cite the Moscow Times?"

Yes, because of their choice of language.

UN members backed a resolution supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity Monday in the face of staunch opposition from Washington which pushed its own language that declined to blame Russia for the war or mention Kyiv's borders.

As US President Donald Trump stakes out a new position on the Ukraine war, a European-backed text marking the conflict's third anniversary won 93 votes for and 18 votes against, with 65 abstentions.

Washington sided with Moscow, as well as Russian allies Belarus, North Korea and Sudan, to vote against.
Congratulations Trump voters, we're on the side of North Korea. Such great company we're with these days.

Trump asked Ukraine to pull back its resolution, they did not. I really hope that NATO and the EU are ready to step up, because I think everyone here agrees that Trump is going to hold back US aid to Ukraine, and also, to start ending sanctions on Russia.

And, just so we're all on the same page...Russia didn't even offer the US cheap eggs.

Yes, that's why the culls happen and the eggs laid by infected animals are trashed, so the virus doesn't get close to more humans where the chances of it mutating and people getting sick gets bigger.

Yeah, it is more about stopping the virus from mutating into something far worse.

The one thing about food and it being sold in the US is that if there is even a hint that people can get sick from it, people will panic and absolutely stay away from it. Even if it is a misplaced fear. That is why food recalls happen extremely quickly when there is an issue that is found out. Because the alternative is the company that makes that food will lose a LOT of sales. There are a sizeable number of people that are extremely hardcore about their quality of their food as I see it daily selling it.

Everytime Trump calls Trudeau "Governor", Trudeau should reply "Third-in-command Trump." Right behind Putin and Musk.

Wait, you're saying Trump, in public, on purpose, called Prime Minister Trudeau "Governor"? As an official declaration from the United States? That he's taking the biggest bully pulpit in the world and intentionally trolling on purpose from it?

...nah, that can't be! Surely I just missed a governor somewhere. I'll wait for tehdang to find it. I mean, otherwise he'd have to admit he supports and approve of a leader who is intentionally trolling the world on purpose. As a leadership positive. He would have to admit that. So it's a missing governor. We'll hear which one any minute now.

Thats a great way to make the population centers into partisan entities that go to war with rural districts. As opposed to 50.1% can remove every two years according to an ordinary vote (the House). It is actually a very dangerous thing to deny and reverse a vote by constituents, because there’s a larger state majority that disagrees with their representation.

Except for it would still be the will of the people of that state to recall that sitting member. As far as the House goes, it could also be in the district that they are in so that the people who voted them in can also recall them and remove them. The Senate is already statewide so it would also apply there.

It would be no different than Congress impeaching the President even if the President was popular for whatever reason.

I don't know what's funnier, Trump getting owned or people from Hungary and Denmark getting big mad at me memeing on the French.

France is a dead super power. It's perfectly fine to meme on this and it has jack shit to do with WW2. The once mighty French can't even win energy politics over Germany anymore.

Should rural votes count for more than urban votes or something? Otherwise I'm unsure why this distinction even matters. Votes is votes.

If anything, people should meme on Italy who, after France was defeated by the Germans, decided to have their own glory in France and got utterly destroyed.
