It is literally Trump just trying to be a bully. Pure and simple. It has nothing to do with the drug trade or anything of the sort. He is just trying to push himself onto others that didn't ask for it.

I won't even give Trump the benefit of the doubt on this one; he's not a godly man, money's just made him insulated entirely from consequences and has allowed him to throw his considerable bulk around to bully people into submission. Unfortunately the term probationary is false because if you get a promotion you end up with that status so the department of government embezzlement (DOGE) is firing people with decades of experience as well. There are red state republicans in sheer panic begging Trump to stop president Musk from bankrupting their state due to firings since the federal government is the biggest employer in their state.

That was my original take as well, but there have to be other methods to achieve that. The Fed lowering rates by more than 2 basis points this year is catastrophic, unless the data supports it, which it doesn't right now. Even 1 basis point might be catastrophic.

Honestly, it is Trump. Just take it as it is. There is sometimes a reason and other times he just does things because he wants to.

Right now, and this is my working theory, is that since the Federal Government investigated him for him taking classified documents, for starting the Jan 6th riots and a lot of other stuff that he literally is just on a vendetta against the government because he hates it. To him, they made him look weak and a criminal, which in everyone's mind, he actually is. So, he wants to tear it down.

To him, it caused him harm. So he will want to hurt it back. Everyone else be damned.

If a state has 20 basically urban congressional districts, and 3 basically rural congressional districts, that's still representation. If the 20 can band together to say they don't like the representatives from the other 3 and vote to recall each one over their constituents' protestation, that's a problem for me. Maybe it also is for you, but I've been wrong to presume a lot of things when it comes to members of this forum.
