Well, I can see why Trump may be mad, but more in a Monkey's Paw kinda way. As another said on here, Putin a possibly pretty pissed at Trump right now over that.

Putin wanted Trump to belittle him and make him look weak as he was forced to sign a one sided agreement to erode Zelenskyy's support and legitimacy so his soldiers would be demoralized and he lost support around the world.

What Trump did was come off as an ass that made America out to be the villain that was very overt in their support of Russia and had the whole deal fall apart in a way that made Zelenskyy an even more proud leader to his soldiers and solidified the support of the rest of NATO behind him even further and made it even harder for the USA to make excuses as to why they would justify giving aid to Russia or lift sanctions in ways that doesn't make Putin's ownership of Trump even more apparent.

Trump is likely pissed that he screwed up his bosses orders so badly and scared of just how much it hurt Putin's image of him for failing so badly.

Well, in a move that will immediately make me never want to carry another $100 bill, Congressman Brandon Gill who represents the cult, wants to replace the Benjamin Franklin with Trump on the $100 bill after his term. Replace a man who actually invented things, helped write the US Constitution and the US Declaration of Independence with someone who only knows how to destroy anything he touches.

this is basically what the GOP, both the elected officials and the voters, is. Just all yes-men and children who will cry fake news whenever there is a news that is unfavorable to them.

The dismantling of NOAA proceeds apace.

Gutting Medicare/Medicaid, fucking with Social Security, and destroying NOAA. It's almost like the Trump admin is specifically targeting its own constituents. Brilliant strategy. Will be interesting to see how the red states on east coast and the Gulf of Mexico handle hurricane season going forward. Oh, and FEMA's on the chopping block too, right? Fantastic news all around.

Not only is Trump now punishing the victims of aggression but he is actively planning to assist the aggressors by helping their faltering economy.

Trump has directed officials to draft proposals for lifting sanctions on russia. But wait, there is more. He has reportedly had secret negotiations going on in Switzerland about reopening Nord Stream with American investment - and no consultation with Europe at all.

Well, it's not all bad news for Putie the Cutie and you touched on why in the section I bolded.

Putin always loves it when America looks bad.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

That would be a consolation prize for Putin. He wanted the break Zelenskyy in front of the world. He wanted to demoralize his troops and make him look bad to them, he wanted the rest of the world to stop supporting him so much and give him a chance to rebuild after Trump used it as an excuse to drop sanctions on him and funnel him untold levels of cash. Instead, the exact opposite has happened.

So the question is, how it goes from here. All sides know that Trumps agreements are worth as much as Putin's agreements. They know that any ceasefire will be temporary at best as Russia WILL break it the moment they can and Trump is trying to give Russia the best chance on the next attempt.

So, if they try again, all that will happen would be a ceasefire while the rest of NATO works to build up Ukraine and it's own military faster than Russia can rebuild theirs even with the US giving them money and military gear and so on and possibly prepare for a conflict where the US might try and aid Russia if the US doesn't collapse itself first. God knows virtually every adversarial nation will have our nuclear and military secrets and technology by the end of this with the only ones kept in the dark being our own allies.

Edit: If I were the EU, I would work on telling the US it needs to close its bases leave the EU by the end of the summer. A good chance that if things pop off next time, Trump would try to use our military bases over there as a stage to launch attacks on the EU with loyalists that will give the order in an attempt to blitzkrieg them in a conflict in an attempt to takes them over or level them so Russia and China could before they could react.

Another thing that really pushes the "supporting Trump requires hypocrisy" angle: remember how the Trump camp, for years, tried to Strawman by saying the worst thing about Trump was he said mean things? You know, handwaving everything else and claiming the problem was Trump said mean things?

Trump just handed Ukraine to Russia, cutting off their aid, because Ukraine "said mean things".

Tariffing Mexico is insane. It doesnt do anything to revive the manufacturing industry bc Mexico is part of the supply chain to the manufacturing industry xd

Heh. Texas number is almost 150 and growing. Now we have Measles in GA, KY, CA, NJ, RI and AK. Although in the other states we are only looking at single digit cases.

    - - - Updated - - -

BTW, Measles party is a bad idea.

Texas official warns against “measles parties” as outbreak keeps growing

A Texas health authority is warning against "measles parties" as the outbreak in West Texas grew to at least 146 cases, with 20 hospitalized and one unvaccinated school-age child dead. The outbreak continues to mainly be in unvaccinated children.

This is how nuts the tariffs are - it will destroyed the us automotive industry.

That is just one small part in the chain, traversing 3 countries and getting tariffed twice.

And Canada is a huge part of the supply chain for the US automotive manufacturing industry as well. Our manufacturing sector employs over 250k people just in Ontario that make car parts. I work for one of those companies. Guess what we make? The entirety of the Ford and GM transmissions as well as the 5.0L Mustang and F-150 engines. Among other things, like the Chrysler V6. So I guess when the cost of your engines quadruples in price, you idiots won't be able to blame us for having to cover the costs of your dumbass tariffs. You losers have been getting the winning deal in automotive trade since NAFTA was created, yet your orange moron of a president thinks it should be more. Guess what? You won't be making all the shit we make in the USA because the costs and time to do all that would bankrupt your automotive companies, given they have to pay financial compensation to their suppliers for bailing on their contracts and build new facilities that costs even more money that they don't have to spend right now given their market share is drying up.
