It's like you read nothing but just decided to have a reaction for some reason.

    Are you ok?

Trump can do all the theater about "LEAVING NATO BIGLY".
Only Congress has the power to officially do that.
Congress only has that power IF THEY USE IT.
The majority party will do nothing and shrug, while watching the leopards slowly creep closer.

Even by California standard, San Francisco is extra stupid. I heard plenty of horror stories about permitting for simple remodeling projects.

"San Francisco, where putting a garden gnome in your yard requires a permit and removing one requires completing a historic preservation survey."
An unknown permit expediter that went on a crazy rant in front of the Building Department.

When are we going to stop parading "he can't do that" when no one can answer "who will enforce it?".

How many judges have said funds need to be released, and how much compliance has there been...?

I mean, if you skip over "whether he cares or not" then yes, that's exactly what I said.

Sorry, I kinda picked your post as a springboard for a general statement, since we see a lot of it

They have started removing GSA positions for historical upkeep that are required by law.

Millions of Low-Income Households Would Lose Food Aid Under Proposed House Republican SNAP Cuts
Cuts Would Take Assistance Away From People in Every State

    This caught my eyes.

Reversing this update and restricting future increases would slash SNAP benefits for all participants immediately upon taking effect, with the cut growing deeper over time. The average SNAP benefit in fiscal year 2026 is projected to be only $6.40 per person per day.

Three meals a day, so $2.13 per meal? They better hope that we go into a recession and prices start to actually go down.

Now now now if those millennials would stop ordering their LATTES and AVOCADO TOAST they could afford to live on almost 7 dollars a day! They could just buy staples, like eggs!

Hell no. It's fine to do it as a hobby that you enjoy. However, if you think that's cheaper than buying eggs at the stores, you are delusional. Feed + care + housing + maintenance >>>>> cost of eggs at the store. There are values to the hours you spent taking care of those hens.

Boom. 16 more years of Trump.
In Trump's America someone that dumb isn't going to last long since they will have no medicare and social security. That's the ironic part of all this, President Musk and Vice President Trump's policies are going to kill more of their voters than any other event.

According to the Constitution, none of them. Protesting is protected speech. Just don't, you know, run over someone because you're a Nazi and you'll be fine.

"So the problem is with the crime, not the protests? Why didn't he just say that?"

Because Trump does not follow the Constitution. He said so himself.
The party of free speech at it again. Guess they ran out of books to ban.

USDA expects milk prices to go up in 2025.

Then drink Soy or Almond Milk. They cost more. Fake news.

The problem is fundamentally cultural not just political. It's the conspiracy tards, the fascism wannabees, the religious loons, the anti-vaxxers, the tech bro know it alls etc.

All that has to be addressed before you can even get enough normies in charge to start fixing shit.

Like as you can see from the whole DOGE fiasco. Musk might have hired a bunch of mealy mouth certified genius college drop outs armed with AI and algorithm and all that horseshit, they institutionally do not understand the data they are looking at, and the first people they fucking fired were the very people who do. And a bunch others quit because their expertise was dismissed and ignored.

This is institutional knowledge that takes YEARS to build and moments to lose and an eternity to rebuild.

SSA says it has saved $800 million.

"That's a lot of fraud and waste! MAGA!"

Um, no. The Social Security budget is well over a trillion. This is not even one tenth of one percent. So, no, it's not a lot.

"But it's still a cut of fraud and waste! MAGA!"

$550 of the $800 million was saved by a hiring freeze and cutting overtime.

$150 million was turning off the website, so nobody can see what's going on and can't ask questions like "why didn't I get my check?"

    "...the rest?"

The SSA said it made a 70 percent reduction in travel, saving to the tune of $10 million. The agency said it also terminated $15 million in contracts and another $15 million in grants.

Other aspects that have seen reductions within the SSA are postage, printing, protective security officers and property.
So they're cutting staff, cutting hours, making themselves harder to reach and...cutting security. I can think of some very interesting ways that could end.

We'll see. GOP voters probably won't change their mind. However, independents that voted for Trump over economic factors are a different story. He could not have won 2024 without the support of independents. The same goes for Middle Eastern origin voters in Michigan, etc. They are starting to see that the situation for Palestinians could actually get a lot worse under Trump.

Not surprising, especially since we're not even harvesting much at the moment. We rely on Mexico heavily around this time of the year.

Add-on how much we rely on Canada for fertilizer, and how much we rely on China for agricultural equipment and pesticides, and we're looking at massive food price increases.
